Farefield Estates have been nothing short of incredible in all of our dealings so far with them. Our initial property viewing with Lottie was great. She answered all of my questions and let me explore our future home in my own time. Since then, Anna has been incredibly patient and supportive in helping process our letting application. The whole team seem really trustworthy, they are responsive and so friendly and we are so happy we are choosing to let with them after such a negative and unresponsive experience with our previous rental company. Landlords beware!
Landlords beware. We had a viewing cancelled by text at short notice due to company policy of accepting first come first served on a rental. In such a dynamic market the landlords interests are best served when they can consider multiple bids. ( we were planning to offer significantly over the PCM amount (plus a 6 month upfront payment) It’s madness when he market is so hot to be first served basis. I hope the landlord/owners realize. It’s unprofessional and lazy to cancel viewings on a first bid. I understand not accepting appointments if fully booked. House rental is not a line for Mac Donald’s. Bit more effort and work could present competition and best bids and choice for the landlord.

Responsive and proactive letting agents.
Prompt response to our enquiry regarding a rental property. Arranging the viewing was straightforward. Once an appointment has been booked we received regular text reminders of the viewing appointment? Chris contacted us to let us know that he would be conducting the viewing and kept us fully informed. He was very proactive and efficient, he showed us round and was very personable and helpful, answering all of our questions. He was well prepared with all of the necessary paperwork. Anna then contacted us to request the required evidence and explain what happens next. She kept us well informed at each stage of the process. Very happy with the service and would definitely recommend Farefield Estates as a letting agent based on our experience.

AVOID IT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE
AVOID IT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE. Never experienced such an unhelpful group. Problem after problem from the start of tenancy. Never fixed any issues, left us in an unsafe house with no working fire alarm and an uncapped gas pipe. Was not very kind about our landlord but now at the end of our tenancy is doing nothing about the fact they are trying to charge £900 for a non damaged clean end of tenancy. They will never let you enjoy the property and you will be constantly chasing your tail to get anything done. I would advise to take hundreds of photo of the problems they leave you with as they will try and charge you for their errors.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! COWBOYS!
Absolute shambles of a letting agency. Multiple issues with the property that either never get fixed or just get ‘painted’ over, as with the case of constant mould in the bathroom. We paid rent on time, every month and caused no issues; got handed (well, left on the kitchen table!) an eviction notice about an hour after being told everything was okay and paying £120 for a 6mth parking permit. They don’t allow you to pay via Direct Debit ( only standing order) so any monies paid is not protected under the Direct Debit Guarantee. Upon moving in, we didn’t receive the correct documents... They will bully you, and discriminate against you for being disabled and for not being white British. Our vehicles have been damaged multiple times in the car park (once by their own contractors!), they can’t guarantee the safety of both yourself and your property. They force you to take on a ‘furniture package’, which we were told was optional to begin with… that comprises of the most hideous and cheap furniture imaginable, for the cost of £276 every 6mths, we had no choice but to pay this as we had already agreed the tenancy! After your initial 6mth tenancy is up, you’re placed on a monthly ‘rolling’ tenancy, again we were told we could renew for another 6mths but then told this wasn’t an option. They love to leave passive aggressive notes all over the apartment, and never tell you when they are entering the property! I regularly have the maintenance staff letting themselves in with a key, coming into our kitchen and using our kettle (not provided by the landlord!) on a morning. The maintenance team regularly take up all the car parking spaces, leaving those who actually do pay the extortionate permit price nowhere to park! Horrendous WiFi… you pay for something that isn’t fit for purpose; they try to fob you off and say ‘it’s BT’s fault, we are looking into it.’ You’re lucky if you get upload speeds of 0.17mbps! These ‘positive’ reviews aren’t a good representation of their company, their Google Reviews are more like it with a score of 1.8/5!
