Horrible on every level

Never in my life have I seen such a horrible, user-unfriendly and absolutely useless product like this. In order to sign up, they send you an email longer than my dissertation, explaining how to sign up. This in itself is a red flag. Have you ever signed up somewhere with so many instructions?
Once you are in the product, it feels like a product from 1990 in the UX and design. Nothing is clear, everything is complex. The whole product and design team needs a change at this company.

We Began Our Fareharbor Journey in 2015

Our company has used Fareharbor from the very beginning of Fareharbor itself. The Fareharbor platform is the best in the business. Communicative, informative, business oriented, but people forward. They have helped us grow beyond our wildest dreams and are all ears when we ask for changes in programming or upgrades in formatting. It's rare to find a company that really listens to client feedback. Truly can't say enough about this company.

Fare Harbor is the best system for our operation

Fare Harbor has been outstanding to work with since we went with them in 2017. They have an amazing support infrastructure that responds immediately to any issues and we couldn't be more pleased. Their system works great for our operation, they work with us to find solutions for problems, look to continually improve its abilities, and are professional.

Ridiculous fees.

I have used and supported this company for 5 years. They recently changed their fees to being even higher and charging 6% even when adding a booking manually. The fees are ridiculous and I am changing platforms. So disappointed.

This company is a joke

This company is a joke. The fees that they charge to the customer is outrageous and scares away customers. The fees are a percentage which means that their fees add a ridiculous amount of money to higher ticket prices. Almost every time that I call, I end up with someone who doesn’t know what they are doing and waste a massive amount of my time calling back to only talk to someone else who screws something else up. Stay away from this company if you are a business owner.

They keep cold calling

They keep cold calling, even after I've told them we're not interested in their services. The latest time, I finally got shitty with the guy on the phone, because he was used the keep them on the phone method, when I had told hime we're in the middle of a big event set up, and in their notes they've gotten down that we've said we're not interested countless times

It is the worst service we have ever used.

since we have been working with them, we have been, without exaggeration, 1 month and a half for the support service to add in our panel (we can't, only they can) the meta pixel.

Not only that, they write you emails just to answer without providing anything of value.

Hidden Fees

They have implemented "hidden fee" program that charges the client 6% with zero transparency why that fee is charged. I appears the company is charging it and becomes very difficult to explain what that fee is and the business is not collecting that fee.
Fare Harbors response to this fee, "raise your prices" to cover our fee.
Fare Harbor does zero to promote my business, help in any way. For the convenience of "Booking online" the add a 6% service fee. The online booking option is mandatory, if the can't scam clients out of that 6% you have to cancel Fare Harbor. We wanted to just take away the online booking ability (they still make 2% plus CC processing fee) but they said it's mandatory.
This 6% fee is not on the closeout page in detail when client is paying, you have to dig and dig deep to locate this fee. It has made my company look like I add hidden fees and pocket them myself. What was a great company has lost its way, I can hire a part time person to manage a Calendar and bookings far cheaper than what Fare Harbor Charges. Zero sympathy for the actual business owner.

This company has introduced a 6%…

This company has introduced a 6% dashboard / User fee to company's turning over less than 35K US (55k AU) not cool!! How do you tell your customers that they have to pay the fee when they called you! You cant you have to wear it plus the CC fee = 8%
Even worse... We qualify for the exemption but they are not looking at turnover until October 25. (12 months since introduced). Probably should have taken the previous year into account. They are losing a lot of customers an im one.

Warning: FareHarbor Imposes Fees Without Proper Consent

I’m sharing this review to warn other businesses about FareHarbor’s practices. Without my explicit consent, they imposed a brand new 6% direct booking fee, significantly altering our agreement. This change was communicated to me through one single email, which is not an acceptable way to modify terms.

I did not agree to this fee increase, and receiving one email outlining the change does not equate to my consent. This action feels like a breach of trust and professionalism. Changing the terms of my contract without clear and formal agreement is both unethical and potentially illegal.

If you're using FareHarbor, be aware that they may change fees and terms without proper consent. It’s crucial to stay vigilant and understand that their communication practices don’t always align with fair business practices.

Absolute scam of a company that is corporate owned, and profit seeking through creating a structure where small businesses are reliant on them, and then exploits them by slowly retreating, not offering support, and above all else, taking no accountability.

Terrible value for money alternative

They increased fees significantly as of end of October 2024. We decided to stop using them (there are less expensive and better alternatives - for example Bokun/Stripe). They also do not respond to emails or phone calls, and customer service has been terrible. Overall, Fareharbor is a very expensive option and lacks even the most basic level of customer service to justify the high fees.
