Always receive professional, informative service from Flying Colours

From the first meeting with my local financial advisor , I have felt at ease with flying colours. Everything I wanted to know has been explained in a way that someone who is not an expert in investment or pensions etc. Could easily understand. I have been kept updated as to how things are , and reassured that my investment is important, and that they are working hard in these uncertain times to maintain it until we hit more stable times.

We’ve been using FC for approximately five years now. The service is professional and caring, the staff supportive helpful and explain everything in great detail, as many times as needed for us to be sure we understand. No heavy sales pressure or pressure of any kind to use the service they provide. We had one small “hiccup” last year which was resolved, with care understanding and a level of kindness that was most appreciated. We are very happy with Flying Colours.

Flying Colours has always given my husband and me solid advice. Their advisors are friendly and competent and have my best interests at heart.

Billy helped us to refine our retirement goals and then advised (and guided us through) the actions to take to start our plans. So far, some of our funds have been freed up from corporate funds, this has allowed us to manage them to our benefit, our initial investments have generated higher returns than we could expect to see within those corporate funds. We will certainly move other pension funds over to Flying Colours management once they become accessible.

I needed advice about making some investments about funding my retirement. I've never done anything like this before and it's fair to say I was a bit spooked by it.

Flying colours, and especially my advisor Reena Mistry, were superb. They went far beyond straight financial advice, and helped me define the type of life I wanted to live in retirement and my appetite for risk. Finally, I was really nervous about transferring funds but they were extremely reassuring and promptly let me know when things had completed safely. This meant a lot to me and gave me great peace of mind.

Billy Ambler has been a first rate representative of the company, and his sound advice has been gratefully received. The recent issues surrounding investments and Covid must have been a real test for any financial services company, and I am delighted that Flying Colours have surmounted these challenges in such a successful manner, their advice has eased what could have been a worrying period, and fund performance appears to be extremely sound.

I have no hesitation in recommending the services they provide

On 20 April 2020 I received in the post a request to provide two forms of identity Flying Colours Finance Limited in order to satisfy their account opening procedures.I promptly refused to provide these documents, as I have had an account with Flying Colours since 2018, when these identity documents were provided!

Since then I have received three emails requesting these documents again, to which I requested that Flying Colours inform me as to the whereabouts of my identity documents originally provided, as I have a concern that Flying Colours has not kept my information secure. I am still waiting for a response.

Due to Flying Colours being unable to provide me with any response, I decided to move my personal SIPP away from them. This transfer is now being blocked due to an administrative error on their side regarding my DOB!

Rather avoid this IFA than being dragged into a "he-said she-said" scenario. This firm will create unreasonable post-sale barriers in addition to not treating their customers fairly.

No reply. When you invest large amounts of money and want to pay more into a SIPP then you contact two members of staff neither of whom reply would you use them ? This firm was recommended by the Government to get advice !!

We spent a lot of time discussing our situation with an advisor who seemed very knowledgeable and subsequently sent the relevant information. We were promised a quick decision on whether they could help us. We did not hear from them again for several weeks and left numerous voicemails, emails and messages with their office. We had a time critical element to our situation that we made clear and the lack of response meant we missed our deadline. Eventually and after considerable chasing we got a perfunctory email to say we should have had a letter explaining they couldn’t help us. Even after we explained this hadn’t happened and we expressed our frustration we were given no apology and were completely ignored. Would definitely not recommend this company.

I have been a client for over 2 years. The product is good and competitively priced - access to diversified funds, appropriate to your individual risk appetite with an annual review with the opportunity to discuss your circumstances. One of the best features not mentioned in other trustpilot reviews is that Guy Myles (CEO) knows a great deal about investments from his time at Octopus and he has been influential in the strong financial results the company has achieved for their clients (he's hands-on).

They are not pushy at all (I have found SJP to be pushy in the past), and they treat you with respect. I have a good friendly relationship with my financial advisor and Billy Amber who is covering Sarah Arora while she is on maternity leave.

I had to complain earlier this year when I realised the fees being collected on my account were significantly higher than expected - this was a mistake which Flying colours immediately acknowledged and sought to rectify with a modest amount of compensation. This hasn't knocked my confidence in the company because I believe they dealt with my complaint promptly and fairly.

First contact Jan 2019. It is now approaching June and I am nowhere near getting answers to the challenges I set them. I have had to do all the chasing.
