TOTAL SCAM – DO NOT USE.
Paid a tiny fee for a PDF edit and was silently enrolled into a ridiculously expensive monthly subscription (~£46/$50). No clear warning, no consent, no proper confirmation. This is a deliberate trap. After being charged, I found countless identical complaints describing the same scam. Avoid at all costs. Check your bank immediately if you’ve used this site. BAIT and SWITCH.

This company had scammed me and charged me £46 without out authorization. Please do not use this service and report them.

THIS IS A SCAM REPORT THEM TO YOUR BANK IMMEDIATELY!!! ITS ALSO ADVISED NOT TO CANCEL SUBSCRIPTION EITHER AS IT LEADS TO A FAKE LINK FURTHER TRYING TO HACK INTO YOUR PERSONAL DATA FRAUD AUTHORITIES NEED TO PUT THIS WEBSITE AND THEIR SISTER COMPANIES ON HIGH ALERT FOR SCAMMING AND FRAUD

I did not authorize the subscription charge on my account.
At no point did I knowingly register on your website or authorize any charges.

What you are doing is misleading: you state that the registration is free for a period of time, yet even after the cancellation, you keep the subscription active and proceed with the charge.

This is unacceptable.
I demand an immediate refund of the amount charged and written confirmation that my account has been permanently canceled.

I signed up for a trial with files-editor.com. I attempted to cancel via their website well before the trial ended which I assumed went through with no problems. However, there must have been a glitch in their system. Because the merchant's website prevented me from cancelling, I contacted them immediately on 12/15/2025 to demand a refund. They refused. The merchant is shady and intentionally obstructed my cancellation rights under the California Automatic Renewal Law. Stay away from this company!

They say it is free for 15 days but you cannot cancel your account info, and you cannot contact to anyone.

FFS. This is going to be fun fighting this company. They don't allow you to delete your account or get rid of your credit card information. Currently going through the process of a fraud investigation with them.

Would give 0 but i can't they take money even after you cancel they don't respond about refunds and from others review seems they wont refund even if they do respond

Wanted to write on one pdf so paid around £1.50 but no clear indication that would then be charged £46 3 days later for one month subscription! No emails to confirm this and refusing to refund me. Gave me lifetime access - quite frankly not of interest to me and pointless. Do not use as no clear 14 day refund policy either.

Is scam ! By requesting to view a manual an small amount was charged . But also - without any notice - a monthly fee of 50 usd was charged a few days later ! Be aware !!

It was advertised as a free service and that they only needed to verify the card to prevent abuse. 14 days later, I have been charged 49.95€ out of nowhere. I have cancelled the subscription by their website minutes after the payment. I have told them I exercise my right to refund within 14 days as European directive. They refused and tried to make me complacent with the lifetime access to their low value tools, not even corporations such as Adobe or Canva charge as much… I don’t understand how the payment went through because we have 3DS in Europe, probably because it’s under 50€…

I have to wait for the transaction to complete to escalate the problem to VISA. I will escalate to EU consumer protection authorities, as a scam like this can’t be possible in 2025 with hundreds of people before me scammed.

This Company needs to be investigated for fraud. Avoid them and never give them your bank details.

They will charge your bank account $50 out of nowhere this website a scam be ware there is nothing of value that could come from that website for them to charge that much not even adobe charges $50 for their products

I feel terrible as I used my sisters card for this. They offered a 14 day FREE trial, so I used it and planned on canceling the subscription before they charged me. I cancelled my “free” trial right after I got my pdf. Luckily, my sister didn’t have money in her account, but they attempted to charge it .60 something cents and .80 cents. Then she tells me about the reviews and how they’re gonna try and charge her 50 bucks. I’m freaking out and I feel terrible. They won’t let me take the card off the account, definitely scammy and shady. I emailed them and demanded they take the card off and delete the account, so I guess we’ll see what happens

Unauthorized charges on your cards. Don't ever log in or sign up. Heck don't visit this website ever!!!!! They don't even offer anything good!!!

They live off of people's unauthorized charges!! No one has ever subscribed to this company intentionally!!

Scam website that sets up a £50 monthly charge without telling. You

I was unexpectedly charged $50 by FilesEdit after what I believed was a simple one‑time use of their PDF editor. I did not knowingly sign up for a subscription, nor did I use the service beyond that initial attempt. When I contacted support, they admitted the confusion and switched my account to a “lifetime free plan,” but they refused to refund the charge.

This practice feels deceptive and unfair. They are essentially forcing people to keep a product that is mediocre at best, even when customers don’t want it. I strongly advise avoiding this website completely.

Two issues, one minor and one major. The minor issue is that the service is described as free and then to download the document, you have to pay a small ($1.45) fee. This is minor because I could have said no. The major issue is that after i agreed to the small fee and designated no recurring fee or subscription, I was charged $49.95 as a monthly recurring fee.

Do not allow them to get a hold of your credit card information they are a scam!!! They got my info and charge me 40x illegally. AVOID THIS SCAM DO NOT GVE YOUR CC INFO
