I can’t recommend Finch enough. This is the 5th or 6th time they’ve completed work for me. They always turn up on time, do what they say they’re going to do and complete the work to a great standard. I won’t use anyone else for plumbing issues now.

I contacted Jamie at Finch Ltd to assist with a complete bathroom refurbishment that was required to be turned around within a set time frame. My initial enquiry was promptly acknowledged, an appointment was made and Jamie turned up on time. We discussed my requirements in detail and Jamie patiently and clearly explained the options available to me and the work required.

The appointment was followed up by a very detailed quotation, individually setting out the costs for each element of the project, together with a fixed price for the job.

Once I confirmed the order, I was given a start date, together with a programme of works detailing what was planned for each day and how long the work was expected to take.

At the start of the project, my curtains were wrapped to protect them from dust and plastic laid to protect the carpets. At the end of each day, the property was left clean and tidy, even though it was empty at the time. Multiple different trades were involved, which Jamie organised without any inconvenience to me.

With the size of this project and the number of different elements involved, inevitably things sometimes go wrong. Jamie was on it. Admittedly, I am a customer who has a keen eye on detail. It was refreshing to meet with Jamie near the end of the project, to find his snag list was longer than my own and the points were already in the process of being resolved.

We required a replacement panel, which Jamie sorted without any fuss, the panel arrived – it was correct in every way, except the colour batch was very slightly different. He had driven some 15 miles or so just to fix the panel. Many a tradesman would have done just that. I simply got a message letting me know about the colour issue and reassuring me another panel had been ordered. Apart from literally going ‘the extra mile’, the attention to detail was there…

Finch Plumbing did an excellent job for me again. This one was very tricky and took a lot of effort on Jamie's part - there was a problem with the hot water flow to the en suite. Jamie located the problem and managed to bypass the old pipes buried in the floor, rather than digging up the concrete! He was recommended to me for 'difficult jobs' and was brilliant. In the end it took him less time than the original quote and he reduced his bill accordingly.

Took longer than expected but a good job in the end.
