Alix is the epitome of excellent customer service
I just bought my third pair of glasses from Finlay UK. I absolutely love their selection of colors and modern frames. However, the thing that sets them apart for me is the service. Each time I have dealt with Alix. I cannot say enough about the service I received. Alix was always so helpful and friendly. I was supposed to travel to the UK so I told Alix I would come to their Notting Hill store to pick up my glasses and finally meet in person to pick up my glasses. Unfortunately, COVID changed our travel plans. Once I emailed Alix that my plans had changed my glasses were shipped immediately. I received them in no time! Alix, one day I will come to the store to thank you in person for all the wonderful customer experiences you have provided me. Job well done!!

Perfect pair of new glasses!
I recently got my first ever pair of glasses from Finlay. The service was wonderful and the shop assistant helped me pick a pair that I wouldn’t have expected to like but where perfect! Couldn’t recommend more!
Not fit for purpose - poor quality
Bought a pair of pink Finlay sunnies a year or so ago. Probably worn them a dozen times. The hinges have rusted / oxidised to turn green. It has crept up the sides. They look terrible now. Contacted Finlay who said “You must have got them wet”. Ridiculous response. They are sunglasses - intended to be worn at the beach or poolside. Not fit for purpose. Probably a breach of the Sale of Goods Act. Finlay offered to discount a new pair from £150 to £75. I pressed for a refund but they are standing firm. They missed the point. I don’t want an identical pair of sunnies as the issue will reoccur. This (‘rusting’ sunglasses) has never happened with other premium brands eg Persol. Save your money, look elsewhere.

I went to the Finlay Notting Hill store yesterday for an eye test and had the most superb service from start to finish. The optometrist I saw was fantastic, she asked detailed questions about my lifestyle and explained everything as she went along as it was my first prescription for glasses. The sales advisors were then incredibly welcoming and attentive, finding out exactly what style and shape I wanted in frames. The sales advisor who then served me had amazing product knowledge and knew instantly which frames would suit me best and bring out my features.
Best shopping experience I've had in a long time -would highly recommend.

Couldn't be happier. Order arrived from London to Brussels in under 24 hours. After some terrible post-brexit experiences ordering from the UK, Finlay proved to be 100% on point. The sunglasses are great quality and stylish. Contactable, friendly and efficient, they really seem to be a company that cares about both their products and their service. Kudos!

Beautiful glasses! A great website experience with the new virtual try-on, easy to navigate. The glasses came extremely well packaged in sturdy presentation boxes, and are of superior quality. Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service! Items not as advertised on website. Took a long time to receive the item. Although it is a London based company when purchasing it appears that you are buying from their US website (finlay.us) BUT you will pay an additional $60 for duty as it is still coming from London and not the US. They don’t tell you that. So if you don’t want to spend an additional $60 to ship it to US or Canada don’t buy this brand.
Thanks for your reply: I am liaising with your customer care but they haven’t been helpful. When I found out I was being charged a significant amount in duty I wanted to return the product back to sender. Your website advertises free returns. You do not mention that blue light glasses cannot be returned. Customers should be told that upfront when purchasing. The hassle of returning the glasses to you as an exception you have made is pointless as I am unable to get a refund on the duty. For all this hassle due to poor communication on your companies part I am hoping you will refund my duty. I am a healthcare worker and all this hassle is just not worth my time. I am too busy to sort this return. I suppose I will take the bite and keep the glasses and will never use your company again.

I have had eye tests in the Soho and Nottinghill store and both were very thorough and comprehensive. The store staff were very helpful with selecting suitable frames and making sure they fitted me well. All together a good experience.

The team have excellent product knowledge and customer service, but ultimately I love the frames! There a number of frame and lens combination options to suit your preference or needs, and the price point is very good for the quality of the product which I would confidently say is now up there with the top glasses brands on the market.
