The company began in an Oxfordshire farmyard in the early 1980s, selling terracotta floor tiles at a time when they were relatively unknown by the British public and weren’t available in tile shops. They proved hugely popular, and we opened a small London showroom selling just six different tiles. Customers began requesting glazed wall tiles to complement their terracotta floors and we sourced a small selection of other glazed tiles and put together a brochure covering our entire offering. By the mid 1990s, the company had grown from its humble beginnings on an Oxfordshire farm to having a number of showrooms in London and across the country. Today, we have 26 showrooms in the UK and expect to add two more in the coming year, including a brand-new destination store on New Kings Road in London. Our aim has always been to offer products produced with authenticity, creativity and style, and where possible both handmade and produced as close to home as we can manage. The UK Ceramics Industry has a long tradition and it is one we are keen to support. Having said that, where we spot a tile on our travels that is too beautiful to resist, we do of course secure it exclusively for our customers, many of whom are second generation fans of Fired Earth and its products. Decorating and design have become entrenched in the national mind not just as the preserve of the super wealthy, but as a way to create homes for ourselves and our families that reflect how we like to live today. At Fired Earth we like to think that although it may not be every day our customers choose to redecorate (although our paint does allow for just that level of obsession), we have identified the right looks and styles that feel perfect no matter what the style or age of property. Our website has grown too and now offers almost all of our collections to browse and buy online and shows stunning room sets and great design ideas to help inspire you.

We only required 17 tiles and went to…
We only required 17 tiles and went to your branch in Sherborne, unfortunately we had to order them as you can’t buy over the counter. Which we didn’t realise.
Which cost £10 delivery charge, we order the tiles only to find on delivery they were different colours and one had been glued together!!
We were told that they were from Morocco so you couldn’t guarantee they would be the same as they were rustic!
We did get a refund but two trips to the showroom and time and fuel .
Not very impressed so won’t be purchasing anything else from you.

Good afternoon. This range of tiles are made from raw natural clay so they can vary significantly in colour. They aren't really like a porcelain which would have man made colours. Our showroom usually carry a few different colours to show the variation. They vary in size shape and shade due to their handmade nature. We would have been happy to replace broken ones but I'm sorry that you were not happy with the tiles on this occasion.
Great packing
I was nervous about having boxes of tiles sent to me through a parcel-carrier. I needn’t have been. These were so well packed they could have been dropped from the the truck to the floor and not suffered any damage. Really nice job, not one tile received broken or even chipped.

Great team, really helpful with choosing bathroom tiles for my new house. I had an idea of colours and the store had so many gorgeous tiles to choose from, the staff made the process super easy, they really did go above and beyond to help!

Good experience and quality tiles. We only wanted a very small order. Called the branch and they were able to order, and take payment remotely. Good contact, and seemed happy to help. Tiles look great and seem to be good quality. No issues and would use again

Aaron at the Adderbury store was fantastic. He couldn’t be more helpful with our enquiry.
He sourced the additional tiles we needed within 24 hours averting a delay fitting the bathroom.

Outstanding service as always
I sent Fired Earth a photograph of a room decorated around 10 years ago and asked if I could have help identifying the tiles we used as we had no record. Phill was extremely knowledgeable and immediately identified the tile range and shade which we will be needed to repair upcoming plumbing work we can now proceed with confidently without having to remove and replace the entire room.

Amazing colour Tiles
I have just sent a review for some tiles we recently bought from you. I also had some tiles for our hall which we have had 20 years, then just after we had some expensive beautiful red tiles Togo around the red Aga, which were a complete match that still look amazing!! and yes the staff were so helpful can’t praise fired earth enough.
