A friendly, efficient and reliable small company

First class service. Reliable, polite and professional. Installed and service my log burner, and sweep my chimney and have always had a positive experience.

After 10 years of use and finding that my log burner had been installed incorrectly, I contacted Fireplace Fitters after a recommendation. Gemma, and the fitters, Stefan and Paul were absolutely brilliant. They were all extremely professional, kind and considerate. Gemma's communication skills are excellent and she kept me informed about install and the fitters arrived on time. They worked very hard to get the job done. I was stressed about the refit, and the first installation turned out to be worse than originally thought. Stefan and Paul calmly got on with the work and paid attention to detail and did a brilliant job. They removed existing tiles carefully to enable me to use them again, on reflection we agreed the space looked better without. With the correct surrounding fire proof boarding installed this time, it meant the tiles did not need to be reinstated. It was so good all I had to do was paint around the burner and replace some wallpaper on the chimney breast. I am completely confident in their work and to know it is HETAS compliant is very reassuring. I highly recommend this company without hesitation.

I had an Excellant experience, Jordan and Stefan arrived as planned. I had concerns over my log burner flaring up to much. They first swept the chimney and then checked over the fire. They then carefully explainned what happens when placing a log in the fire. They even lit a small fire to demonstrate, this truley put my mind at rest. Fireplace Fitters did a brilliant job fitting our Barbas Bella Panorama gas fire. We had significant constraints about what we could actually install given our floor plan. Fireplace Fitters found a way to make our first choice fire work. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, cleaned up and helped us through our teething pains with some Barbas issues. We are utterly thrilled with thr final result - and with our choice of Fireplace Fitters.

I had a fireplace installed in October. Dealing with this small business is very easy. Communication is excellent, timing for all appointments was always precise; they have been responsive at every stage.

We have an unusual 15 year old gas fire manufactured in the Netherlands and following the closure of the business where we bought it we struggled to find anyone that could service it (many gas plumbers have tried and failed) After much digging and overseas calls the manufacturer recommended The Fireplace Fitters. Added bonus is that they are located only 1h from us.

Booking process was so smooth and friendly and the engineer that came out was punctual, experienced and resolved an error with the fire straight away without the need for costly parts which is the way you can tell a genuine company. We’re not gas engineers so it would have been very easy to sell us an unnecessary expensive parts. He even added some extra bits to make the fire look more impressive than it ever has. Really impressed with the service from start to finish and we’re now booked in their diary for an annual service and inspection so I don’t need to worry about when it’s next due. Great service :)

The epitome of the small family business, honest, reliable and easy to do business with. The engineers are exceptional. In my case they fixed an “obsolete” fire that I was told had to be replaced. They seem to stock every spare. But most importantly they know what they are doing, and what they do they do well.
