The staff made the course enjoyable. They were approachable, and nothing was too much trouble. They provided detailed explanations and scenarios throughout the course, making it easier to understand and remember.

A very informative first aid training - this was 3 days of theory and practical exercises for 'first aid at work', informed by our tutor's vast experience in civilian and military settings. I feel much more aware of what to do, and am confident to appropriately intervene and support people in emergency situations now, both in and beyond the workplace. Tutor could not have been more enthusiastic!

The 2-day First Aid at Work Refresher training course was excellent. Pitched at the right level with plenty of opportunities for hands-on practice including possible real-life scenarios. The course has increased my confidence and skills as a First Aider.

The trainers were very knowledgeable and presented the training in a manner which fulfilled all learners needs. They kept the training interesting with a good mixture of theory and practice elements which gave learners the opportunity to interact

First Aid Training was thorough and instructive. It was engaging and the Instructor made sure learners got the most out of it. It was a good mix between practical and theory with slides and lots of visual aids. I had not done first aid training before, and I liked the fact that we got to practice some of the techniques. The CPR training also covered different body types- including young children.

Thankyou to all the team involved in this training course ,it was brilliant.
Really excellent tutor on the course, great to have a proper paramedic teaching us, as it gives an additional insight into the whole role of the first aider and what we can bring to any emergency situation - large or small.

Mental Health First Aid. Andy, our trainer, was fantastic. He was honest, humorous and made the classroom a safe environment to discuss and learn some very difficult topics. All the staff I met in the building were very friendly and helpful too. Would absolutely recommend this course and the NEAS centre to anyone thinking about attending

The training I have received from the North East Ambulance Service was outstanding. From start to finish I was put at ease with very friendly and professional staff who accounted for everyone’s skill levels. Being my first course I was understandably a little bit nervous but the course really brought me out of my comfort zone and with help from the amazing staff at NEAS, taught me a lifetime skill that I now feel more than capable of carrying out should I need to. I want to say a massive thank you for everything you all do and for giving me and others an opportunity to develop our confidence and knowledge in delivering first aid when the time comes.

Good venue, based at the North East Ambulance training centre. Seasoned instructors who have all been or are currently, serving Ambulance crew and Paramedics. All the training equipment was available, resus dolls, chocking dolls, AED training modules. A really well delivered training course, a great training team and all the equipment, knowledge and real world experience you could ask for.
The course should be viewed as a refresher type course and would not give all the information required for a new First Aider at work. I recommend any first time First Aiders should attend the full 2 day course before they consider themselves fully trained. Overall a good refresher, fast paced, and aimed at those already with first aid experience and knowledge. For my next course I would like to do the two day course to ensure I have refreshed all the detailed knowledge required.

Instructor was articulate, expressive, accommodative and patient. He ensured we got hands on at every time on everything we learnt which help to get more familiar. Moreso, I love their idea of Pop quiz at every instance to refresh our memory of what was learnt
