Such Welcoming Group of People

I was nervous coming in as this was the first time I needed any bodywork done to my car. And everyone I spoke to was amazing and so kind! The man who came out to look at my car at first was so chatty really made me relax! and was so informative! And Shannon behind the desk was 10/10. Made me feel so at ease, and was so funny! I was originally quoted 2-3 weeks, but only took 1! So I was even more happy with that! And the car looks like new!

Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thank you to you all!

The estimator Matt helped me

The estimator Matt helped me greatly with a small problem with a contrwct car that would have made me have to put in an insurance claim. Instead he spent time and effort to help solve the problem. I no longer need to claim which woild have cost more and more in the long run.

Repairs not completed properly

Did not complete part of the repairs shown on their own damage assesment to the Insurance company,damage to a door.
I have the email where they state the repairs were approved,yet now they are claiming the insurance company did not approve this part,this was news to Admiral Insurance when I contacted them.
Will be contacting Mastercard to get my excess refunded as they have not completed the work and also contacting trading standards

Well guess what , you had to take the car back and actually complete the repairs properly.
If you had bothered to check with ourselves or with the insurance company you would have been told how that damage to the door occurred during the accident.

There is no way myself or anybody else I know would put a vehicle near you after this, Ashgrove Body Shop is your franchise in Inverness so steer clear of that.
Unfortunately when dealing with insurance companys you have no choice

I would like to clarify the documentation you received to ensure there is no confusion regarding the repairs performed.

The document you are referring to is our Pre-Repair Check Sheet. We use this to record all existing damage on a vehicle, including both accident-related and unrelated wear, before any work begins. This is a standard industry practice to protect both the customer and the shop by providing an accurate "snapshot" of the vehicle’s condition upon arrival.

Regarding your specific repairs:

Authorised Repairs: We identified and repaired the damage to the front right (R/F) side, as instructed by your insurance company.

Unrelated Damage: The damage on the left-hand (LH) door was documented as "pre-existing" because it was not consistent with the primary accident.

Please note that as an insurance-approved repairer, we are strictly authorised to repair damage that is both instructed by your insurer and consistent with the specific claim incident.

The "Damage Assessment" we use for the actual repairs is an internal technical document that differs from the Pre-Repair Check Sheet you viewed. Rest assured, all repairs authorised by your insurance provider have been completed to standard.

Communication was good but poor workmanship.

Communication was good, Shannon excellent at keeping me up to date.
Took a very long time to repair and the messages that the vehicle was going to be ready starting in early December and I picked it up end of January, that was particularly annoying. Edit: On closer inspection there is a botched wiring loom and a slack bumper, very poor!

The repair was good,

The repair was good but the wait for spares was too long. Communication with the customer during the process was generally good. It is a bit confusing to be told that the repair is completed but that my car had to go through QC with no idea how long this would take. For customers who have to come some distance to collect this information would be very helpful.

Shocking service

Estimate for repairs was 7-10 days now on day 73
Received car back on day 70 and was back in the garage on day 70 then received the car back on day 73 and his back in the garage on day 74

Just one excuse after another was told mid Dec car was in polishing and valet so called next day and was told waiting on parts

Shocking customer service and form email complaint to Tesco insurance has been lodged

Very bad service

Very bad service. Lack of communication. They had the wrong email address which would have flagged up on the emails yet they didn't call to get the correct email or to speak to me. Didn't chase up the parts. Car was with them for 6 weeks. Receptionist was on the verge of being rude when I called.

Firstly, we can only use the contact details provided to us by your insurance company. Unfortunately, we are unable to amend or verify these details independently unless we are advised otherwise. While we use automated systems to issue updates, these systems rely entirely on the information supplied to us.

Regarding parts, we can confirm that the required components were actively chased with the supplier every two days. Regrettably, parts availability and delivery times are outside of our control, and we must wait for suppliers to release them in the same way our customers do. This is a common issue across the industry and was the primary reason for the repair duration.

As for the length of time your vehicle was with us, this was directly linked to parts delays rather than a lack of action or communication on our part.

Finally, we would like to address your comments about our receptionist. Our staff are expected to remain professional at all times, and we are confident that this was upheld during your interactions. We also expect conversations to remain respectful, and our team should not be subjected to inappropriate or discourteous behaviour as they were!

These guys were amazing

These guys were amazing, even though I was messed about for getting my hire vehicle and giving my car to the garage to get fixed they smashed it out the park and got it repaired quickly. Would highly recommend

6 months to source one part?

Motorhome damaged in May & eventually told to contact this repair shop. Re-sent explanation & photos regarding damage got a date to bring van up in June. Dropped it off, note I live a hours drive away, then before we left Inverness got a call that they had ordered the wrong part. Had to take it away again. Eventually, after a few phone calls over a number of weeks was given a new date. Day before I was due to bring it up reception called with a few strange questions. Apparently they hadn’t ordered the part yet? After repeated phone calls for many months Lisa on reception told me the purchaser for spares was off that week so she would look into it herself. This was a few weeks ago in November. Part was located a few hours later in a dealers in Perth, but they hadn’t paid for sending it to Inverness? It was picked up & was given a date to bring it up again. Shop manager said it would take an hour to fix? I asked about the dent repair, scratches etc, he had no knowledge of these. He had only been there a month! These were all highlighted in pictures & verbally before the van was booked in initially & it had been on site to be assessed way back in June. Left the van there & finally picked it up a few days ago. Repairs fine. Left a reflector off but that’s okay. Many Thanks to Lisa for taking the initiative to find out what was happening to the parts or I would still be waiting but the whole the management skills need to be reviewed.

Regarding the motorhome part, please be aware that motorhome components often have significantly longer lead times, and it is not unusual for these items to take several weeks or even months to arrive. This delay was not due to any reluctance on our part to pay for delivery, rather, the supplier does not ship these parts directly to Inverness, which unfortunately limits how quickly we can obtain them.

We are pleased that the repairs have now been completed and appreciate your acknowledgement of the team member’s efforts in sourcing the part.
