Outstanding service
The customer service was outstanding! Picking up my car and dropping courtesy car off was efficient, staff always polite! Always kept up communication with my to keep me updated with repair progress, very quick to repair the damage that was there and dropped my car back very quickly and to find they also cleaned my car inside and out too which is an extension of work that wasn’t required by them but they did anyway so thankyou! I will be using Fixautos again should I need them again!!

Really good service, old courtesy car
Really good service, pick up was fast and courtesy car was provided, all done via Admiral. Only downside was the car provided was an old corsa and basic with no air con which was difficult as the week we had it was really hot so it made driving a challenge.

We appreciate your feedback and time. we have reviewed your repair and communication logs, i can see that this repair was funded by your insurer, the damage was not just your mirror, the mirror had damaged the car through swinging around by its wires damaging the surrounding bodywork, when we paint a panel we usually have to blend colour into adjoining panels for the perfect repair, we did managed to repair your rear bumper without the need for paint, all repairs are imaged and sent to your insurer for audit purposes, i am sure you would not want us to leave any damage or compromise on the repair when you have made an insurance claim and we have to apply your lifetime warranty, so it needs to be right. as for time scales, we had your vehicle for 5 working days but at your request we held your vehicle for a further 12 days until you returned from holiday, we returned it immediately on your return. i think your 1 star review is a bit harsh given the repair quality itself was not an issue, we are happy to discuss any concerns directly.

Portsmouth branch. One star is generous. The first courtesy car broke down 5 miles in. The second was questionably roadworthy. As to the repair itself, the colour matching is poor and the abrasive techniques used have ruined part of the front wing. The complaints handling process is non existent with promised call backs ignored. Avoid at all costs. Use anyone else

i have investigated this case and looked through our call logs, the courtesy car had a clutch fail, this can happen at any time without warning on most vehicles, we collected it the same day and gave you a replacement, we concede that it should have had its washer fluid topped up and we sorry you received it without that being checked, courtesy cars are just that, a courtesy, they are supplied and paid for by us and at no cost to you or the insurance company, we apologies if it did not meet your expectations. as for the repair, i can see no record of a complaint about this, i can only see the QC images that would appear to show no problems, indeed your complaint to your insurer said you were happy with the standard of the repairs, if there are any issues i would urge you to get in touch, as we always deal with any problems as part of your lifetime warranty, the complaints process log says you had put in a complaint to your insurer with regards to the courtesy car, our records suggest it was dealt with professionally throughout. i am sorry if this reply to your feedback does not match your recollection of events, but i think it would be dishonest of us not to explain the background.

Unsatisfactory experience
Very bad experience. Estimate of work required was based on photos provided by me. We were told that one of the main parts was not available from Volvo and was on back order. Not possible to give any estimate of timing. Few days later I was phoned and told that driver would arrive shortly to collect our car and leave replacement vehicle. I expressed surprise and suggested he should check that missing part had actually arrived. It hadn’t. When my car was eventually collected (11th April) I was informed that other additional parts were needed which would take several more days. The car was delivered back to me yesterday (7th May). Repairs seem to have been completed very satisfactorily and the car was very nicely valeted but the time taken has been excessive and communication was very poor. Conversations with Jo and Ruth and unnamed others were casual and perfunctory to the point of rudeness.
During the whole process I heard nothing whatsoever from the insurance company, Admiral. Quite a saga to deal with a very minor collision with a RoeDeer!!

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, sadly it really is out of our control, it causes major problem for us too as we cannot get on with other repairs when our courtesy cars are tied up.

We're committed to ensuring that future repairs are handled with greater transparency and maybe we could have set your expectations of a 4 day repair as not possible more clearly.
