Good repair but communication with customers could be improved
Good points:
Collected & returned car from/to home.
The lady & chap who collected were very friendly, pleasant & approachable, & talked through everything.
Car was given a clean too, which wasn't expected (although the boot was missed).
Bad points:
Despite making it clear at the time of collection that communication should be by text or email only, which the lady noted on the collection paperwork, Fix Auto always insisted on calling. This was inconsiderate, inconvenient & intrusive during the working day &, in general, rather irritating.
A list of updates appeared on the app very quickly but, after that, it was never updated, so it wasn't very useful for monitoring progress. Would have much preferred the app to be maintained, rather than getting numerous phone calls that couldn't be answered (due to being at work & not able to make or receive personal calls).
The only thing that changed often on the app was the stated location of the car. According to the app, it bounced frequently between the Chattenden & Aylesford sites, even though it transpired that the car was taken initially to the Chattenden site for the damaged to be assessed, but then taken to the Rainham site where it stayed for the rest of the time. Very disconcerting & not great for customer reassurance, especially when, after querying the first 'move', the manager said they had no idea why the app was showing the wrong location (& didn't seem very bothered that it was incorrect).
