My car was fixed to a high standard

My car was fixed to a high standard. I was dealing with Dee who kept me updated through every step of the process she was brilliant. I was given a Seat Ibiza while my car was being repaired and that was clean and nice to drive. Overall very happy.

Without my car for 3 1/2 months

Without my car for 3 1/2 months. Parts took 2 months to arrive but they did arrive on 28th May according to Fix. My car was returned on 7th July - 6 weeks after the parts arrived. Communication was terrible - I received the identical automated message telling me the car was about to go into the paint shop 3 weeks in a row. The loan car I was given was so small, cheap and nasty I wouldn't have let my children use it as a '1st car'.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience and understand how frustrating it was to be without your vehicle for an extended period.

Unfortunately, the repair was significantly delayed due to parts being on national backorder, with no stock available in the UK. Whilst some parts began arriving between March and June, the final part required to complete the repair did not arrive until 10th June. Once the final parts had arrived, your vehicle progressed through our paint and panel departments to complete the remaining repair work. Regrettably, this was outside of our control and prevented us from progressing the repair any sooner.

We also apologise for any frustration caused by the automated updates. These notifications are generated based on the repair status within our management system. As parts arrived at different stages throughout the repair, the job status progressed accordingly, however additional parts still required painting and preparation as they arrived, which understandably may have made the updates appear repetitive.

With regard to the courtesy vehicle, you were provided with a 74 plate Citroën C3 for the full duration of the repair. Your insurer's entitlement was for a Class A vehicle, so the vehicle supplied exceeded this requirement. We continued to provide this vehicle throughout the parts delay, despite your repair being unable to progress, to ensure you remained mobile during this period.

In addition to completing the repairs, we also arranged and carried out your vehicle's MOT before returning it to you, collecting and returning the vehicle on your behalf. Throughout the repair process, updates were provided, some directly from the workshop manager, whenever further information became available.

We fully appreciate that being without your vehicle for such a long period was frustrating.

Whilst the delays were due to ongoing parts supply issues beyond our control, we recognise that this does not lessen the impact on you as our customer. They kept me updated as to progress during the time the car was in, and Dee and Lorna were so helpful in getting the courtesy car collected in time, working around our commitments to do so. Fix Auto did an excellent repair and kept in touch

Fix Auto were in good communication, from arranging to pick up my damaged vehicle, giving progress reports, then fixing a time for returning my car.
The repair was done quickly and the car bodywork looks like new again.

Quality of work and estimaters 10/10 l, reception and customer service requires some improvement

Arrived for a quote and was seen immediately by Andy, very professional courteous and kind. Wrote the quote promptly.

Went through insurance and it was all booked speedily, had Andy ring to see if I was Persuing the quote and advised all booked in for the Monday.

Arrived to collect courtesy car advised I couldn't be down before the school run. A receptionist had turned the courtesy car away. Thankfully they waited for me, but it could of been different if they weren't so patient. I tried to book the car and was told no they had no idea I was coming, didn't have the parts ordered and weren't in and couldn't accept my car. I had taken the day off to work to get the car in and was very frustrated.

After an hour of me ringing several people at the insurance company, the courtesy company ringing the insurance company and then someone speaking to Andy from the insurance company, my car could then be axcepted and shouldn't of ever been refused. So took over an hour and a half to hand my car in.

I was kept upto twice weekly by Andy via emails, and made aware of a small delay with paint workshop. This wasn't to big of a problem as I had a courtesy car.

On collection of my car it was very quick and simple, left my courtesy car there and collected mine and left.

The maturer receptionist was blunt and rude and very dissmive with no support, whilst the younger lady was much more supportive in trying to support a resolution. Hence me giving a 4/5. The other receptionist gave no consideration to supporting the car getting booked in as discussed with Andy and the insurance company.

We’re very sorry for the experience you had when arriving to drop off your vehicle. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, especially after taking time out of your day.

Following a review of the situation, it appears there was a communication error between the insurer and ourselves. The estimate and booking arrangements were handled through the insurer, and at the time of your arrival the repair had not yet been authorised. Without this authorisation, we are unfortunately unable to order parts or begin work.

In this instance, the vehicle was booked in by the insurer before authorisation was in place, which resulted in your vehicle remaining on site for approximately a week without parts ordered or repair work being able to start. This is something we actively try to avoid, as it can lead to unnecessary delays and inconvenience to our customers.

Based on the information available to them at the time, our reception team believed that neither the courtesy vehicle nor the booking had been confirmed. That said, we fully appreciate that this was not your fault, and the situation should have been handled more smoothly with clearer support on arrival.

We’re pleased that the matter was ultimately resolved and that communication throughout the repair was clear and consistent. We also take on board your feedback regarding the variation in customer service you experienced, and this will be addressed internally to ensure a more consistent and supportive experience for all customers.

My experience with AutoFix was…

My experience with AutoFix was excellent from start to finish. The team repaired my Toyota Yaris Hybrid professionally and kept me informed throughout the process. What really stood out was their attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. Not only was the repair completed to a high standard, but they also thoroughly washed and cleaned the entire car, including polishing the tyres, leaving it looking almost brand new. The staff were friendly, helpful, and professional, making the whole experience stress-free.
AutoFix is doing very well in terms of workmanship, customer service, communication, and attention to detail. It is clear that they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. I was very satisfied with the service I received and would happily recommend AutoFix to others.
