The information we received from the delivery company at the time was that the pallet had been booked in but had unfortunately been lost in their network. We relayed this to you as soon as we were made aware, but we do appreciate that we should have been more proactive in keeping you informed, and we’re sorry that you had to chase us for updates.
Our customer service team responded to each of your enquiries using the information available to them, however we recognise that this did not resolve the situation and ultimately led to you cancelling your order. For that, we sincerely apologise.

No doubt it has one of the best range…
No doubt it has one of the best range in bathroom and floorings. Reasonable price and prompt (though not the fastest) delivery. Just one gripe, that I wish they had colour specifications for tile caps (or perhapsa clear one if it's there else I wouldn'thave missed it). I needed white ones and got black delivery which doesn't work with my white marble tiles and white flooring. In the end it was too late (and costly) to hold up workmen and raise it with flooring king and wait for resolution.

Timely delivery accurate product
My flooring arrived on time, driver kept me informed ahead of the delivery and the product was accurate to the sample.
My only issue was that it was a pallet delivery (which wasn’t made clear on the comms I received) and driver wouldn’t assist in carrying it into my home. Had I known, I could’ve made arrangement for someone to assist.

The website was well laid out. The staff I spoke to were very helpful. Martin was the delivery driver and he read my note for delivery area and spoke to him too. Sam helped with after care on noting where I wanted the delivery to be placed and Scott took my order and explained delivery and price to the precise pence.

Substandard Flooring. Quick Step Havanah Oak
Terrible substandard flooring. Guy sent out to inspect, and as usual in these cases declined to replace flooring. No other help offered by Flooring King who still have this rubbish for sale on their website. Fitted by an expert and never had an issue with any other laminate in any room before. Complaint took months to sort with endless phone calls and very little help to resolve the problem.
Quick Step Havanah Oak, chipped whilst putting down, lifted at almost all the seams. In 25 years of buying laminate never had such a poor product. Very surprised as we had quick step in the same room before with no issues and it was down for 6 years and still in perfect condition, we only changed the flooring to get a lighter colour.

We are genuinely sorry to hear that you have been disappointed with your experience and with the Quick-Step product. We fully appreciate how frustrating flooring issues can be, particularly when you have previously had a positive experience with the same brand.
From our side as the retailer, we have fulfilled all of our legal obligations in relation to this claim. Once the concern was raised, the matter was referred to the manufacturer in line with standard industry procedure. We arranged and fundied an independent inspection in order to ensure the issue was assessed fairly and professionally.
The independent inspection (carried out on 12/02/26) concluded that there was no evidence of a manufacturing defect. The report identified raised joint edges and swelling consistent with localised surface moisture exposure in a kitchen environment, as well as stress within the installed floor linked to subfloor undulation and weight loading from appliances positioned on top of the laminate. The conclusion clearly stated that there was no link or indication of a product fault.
It is important to clarify that once flooring has been installed, it is no longer classified as new product. Its condition is affected by subfloor preparation, installation method, environmental conditions and ongoing maintenance. For this reason, any post-installation claims are assessed by the manufacturer, as the product has become part of an installed system rather than remaining a standalone retail item.
We sell a wide range of high-quality, world-renowned flooring brands and pride ourselves on offering excellent value and service. We would not continue to sell products that were found to be inherently substandard. In this case, both the manufacturer and an independent consultant found no evidence of a manufacturing defect.
While we understand that this is not the outcome you were hoping for, the claim has been reviewed thoroughly and in line with the correct process.
We have also provided you with the independant inspection report which obtains all the information stated in this response.
