Its Not Always Such A Good Deal

A very poor degree of customer service. Don't be taken in by the cheaper quotes they provide. My son passed his test with 5 months of the policy remaining. We took the option of paying by direct debit and all was well until he passed his test. On that date the company was notified and we were quoted a fully comprehensive price which was £500 more than a number of other brokers for 'like for like' policies. In addition to this within 3 days of cancelling the policy we were sent a 'demand' demand letter with threats of debt collection agencies being tasked with recovering funds should the outstanding balance of £92.12 is not paid within 10 days. This was duly paid, and I decided to look through my bank account and found that I had paid more than £20 the price of the policy paying by direct debit. So after a few phone calls, Flux then added admin fees and cancellation charges. A 7 month policy has ended costing more than paying for 12 months!!!! Stay away from this company as they are very fast to take your money, but incredibly slow at dealing with complaints/issues. Should have remembered the saying 'Pay peanuts and you get monkeys' One very unhappy customer.

Terrible customer service

I have had a poor experience with this company. I put my daughter on my insurance policy in January 2019 as a provisional driver. She passed her test at the beginning of November 2019. I contacted Flux Insurance to put her on my policy but was told it would cost me an additional £318 for cover for 74 days, which was fair enough. So I asked to take her off. I was told that I would not get a refund for doing this. But I was also not told that it would cost me a further £86 for this change. The policy was then cancelled without any further explanation. When I queried why this had happened I was given no explanation. Nor could customer services explain why it would cost me an extra £86 to take my daughter off the policy. I would not recommend that anyone uses this company for car insurance.

I set up a policy yesterday as i passed…

I set up a policy yesterday as i passed my test. got told i had a 14 day cooling off period (full refund). Paid 500 deposit. called up today wanting to cancel my policy, told me i can only get around £200 refund and they have already dispatched the black box (not my problem) asked to speak to head office, said they didn't have one and they are not even on company house. what are they charging me for, my car hasnt even been insured a day. I've contacted and spoken to people who have had the same problem or similar with you and if i dont get a full refund i will go to trading standards, and watchdog. i will write all over the papers and social media and will do everything i can til i get my refund im entitled too. absolute scammers.

DO NOT BUY

DO NOT BUY: Purchased for 35yr old son who had just passes test and insurance was sky high. Happy with the terms and conditions to get cheaper insurance but soon found to be a con. He drives carefully with 2yr old daughter in rear but was getting texts warning him of speeding when he wasn’t. They gave him an ultimatum to either cancel and refund Around 50% But would let other companies know of his speeding. Or refund 80% to put towards their policy without black box. REALLY! Don’t buy please.
