Refuse to make a refund for non-provided service

I paid for the the seats to sit together. At airport I was told that the plane changed, they assigned different seats (28A and 28F, not together) and we will get a refund. Now I wrote to your facebook support, and your employee refuses to provide a refund, because we received seats from the "same category". But we received RANDOM seats and didn't seat together. What for I paid for, if random seats in that category are free? I want to get a refund. Flight: Vilnius International Airport (VNO) to Keflavik (KEF) on 20-07-2025

I recently flew with PLAY Airlines and…

I recently flew with PLAY Airlines and overall had a decent experience. The standout positives were definitely the aircraft—they're clean, modern, and look almost brand new, which adds a lot of comfort and confidence to the flight.

On the downside, the pricing felt a bit steep for a low-cost carrier. While the airline positions itself as a budget option, the total cost didn’t feel as competitive as expected once everything was added up.

One major area that needs improvement is their website. The user interface is clunky, outdated, and not intuitive at all. Booking or managing a flight can get frustrating, and I hope they seriously consider redesigning it.

In short: cool airline, clean new planes, but they really need to work on pricing and website usability.

I flew from Tenerife south directly to Reykjavik and return the same. The flight took much less time than planned initially and it was a very nice flight, quiet and safe. The aircraft was comfortable and the crew were helpful and nice. Really convenient flight fare.

Worst staff ever

We knew its a lowcost but this goes beyond. The staff is terrible, its absolutely clear they are reluctant to work. The canarian woman in Tenerife South was nice and helpful but the staff in planes and specially in Reykiavik was the worst I have found anywhere.
We spent 30 minutes to checkin our backpacks because the self checkin was not working properly and those women didnt want to help AT ALL. 25 MINUTES going back and forth from the Play counter to the odd-size counter, because the tags were not activated but those women (4 of them, and they were doing NOTHING) didnt want to do their job. Will not fly again with Play. I dont give zero stars because its not possible.

Borderline Customer Abuse.Abusive

Play: PLEASE LEAVE THE US MARKET. You need to be ashamed to charge for WATER on multi hour flights. A safety and health abusive practice. You sent me a link to check in that DID NOT WORKED and then CHARGED ME 30 Euros. I spent an hour at airport check in and had to PROVED to an airport official that YOUR CHECK IN LINK DID NOT WORKED. You had us waiting at a Gate with ZERO CHAIRS, which I did not care but elderly and Moms with younger children did. Then, You had us at the Bridge standing waiting for 26 more minutes. You are the most abusive airline I had ever traveled with. You can offer free flights and would NOT EVER flight with you again.

Always on time!👏🏼

Always on time and always ready to help. Staff is just excellent and helpful. I travel with a walker and I always get it by the door.
And the destinations are great.

Best low cost airline for sure!

Our family experience flying Play was excellent. They are the best of the low cost airlines and on par with the full priced giants. In addition to great value we especially appreciated the fully staffed Cabin crew who were customer service oriented.

Excellent new air line

Play is a fun no-nonsense airline. Plenty of leg room, excellent flight staff, and beyond on time service! Both flights landed well ahead of schedule. Love Play Airlines!

Low cost airline

Good price compared to other options to go to Iceland. However the flight time from BCN is not ideal landing at 1:30am. Moreover the flight was delayed by 2 hours, eventually landing at 3:30am. Other than this it’s a fairly standard low cost airline with everything that comes with it.

I flew from Stewart to KEF and return

I flew from Stewart to KEF and return. The experience at Stewart was superior to almost any other airport, and way better then JFK or EWR, or almost any international airport. Clearing passport control was a breeze. Parking was only $12 a day and close to the terminal. The flight left on time, and arrived KEF nearly an hour early. Coming home, we were slightly delayed leaving but still arrived early. On board, the seats are hard, but endurable. The food looks bad and overpriced, so I avoided it. No entertainment or power outlets, so bring a book. It's a short flight anyway, so quiet endurable. KEF is pretty far from Reykjavik, bit a relative picked me up. Otherwise, KEF ground transportation is exorbitant.

Extremely Disappointed – Discriminatory and Unprofessional Behavior

I am deeply shocked and disappointed by the racist behavior we experienced at the check-in counter. As Indian passengers holding valid Schengen visas, we were treated with blatant disrespect and prejudice by the airline staff.

We were unjustly asked to leave the counter without any clear explanation and were ultimately denied boarding, despite having all valid documentation and fulfilling every travel requirement. The staff were extremely rude, dismissive, and made us feel humiliated in front of other passengers. It was evident that we were being singled out based on our nationality.

Such behavior is completely unacceptable and reflects poorly on the airline's values and training. Discrimination has no place in the travel industry—or anywhere else. We demand a thorough investigation into this incident and expect accountability for the staff involved.

I strongly urge others, especially travelers from diverse backgrounds, to be cautious when booking with this airline.
