Will never use this airline again.

Will never use this airline again.
Paid extra fees to have a refundable ticket last july. They cancelled the trip and didnt refund the money till now. I did the claim and they asked to wait 3 month. Now after almost 6 month I didnt get the refund yet.
They manage to take the money from your bank in seconds and cant return it in 6 months!!!!

The worst service ever

The worst service ever. No promises kept. No responses. I booked two flights for my family in January 2020 for April and UIA canceled the planes. I sent in the request form for a refund but have heard nothing back. Subsequent emails went unanswered. It certainly looked like they were not planning on honoring the refund. Stay away from this company.

No refund but VISA helped.

I had a similar experience like many of the reviewers here. I booked two flights for my family in January 2020 for June and UIA cancelled the planes in May. I immediately sent in the request form for a refund but have heard nothing since. Subsequent emails went unanswered. It certainly looked like they were not planning on honouring the refund. I contacted my bank and they were able to provide a full refund through a VISA reclamation after a few weeks. I suggest others do the same and never fly with this company again.

This airline is a total rip off

This airline is a total rip off. When you try to check-in online, you get an error saying you have no flight to check-in. However, at the airport they charge you €15 for in-person check-in.

Flight was cancelled by UIA

Flight was cancelled by UIA, l went to website to request refund.
But every time I filled in the claim form which had taken hours to find. It sent me back to start all over again.
So I emailed them and got no response.
I’m surprised they are able to take payments online if they do not return the money back to my credit card. They are breaking their owe payment rules.
I will need to do a charge back on my card for this payment.
It’s all a scam!!!!

Cannot get a refund. I booked my trip for myself and 2 sons…

I booked my trip for myself and 2 sons in November 2019 for the Euros in June 2020. They cancelled the flights in May 20 due to Covid19 and offered me a refund or promo code. I elected the refund of £1560 for the 3 of us. they stated they would take 90 days to pay.
Not heard a thing from them and keep cutting me off every time I call. They are also charging me £10 a go (4 calls cut me off) when I try and call so be careful. Never use this company. I won't give up they shouldn't be allowed to trade.

Waiting for refund more than 8 months

I have been waiting for refund more than 8 month. My flight was canceled by airline and I have not recieved even a response from them. I sent message and email to the FlyUIA several times and nobody come back to me. It was defenately my worst customer service experience.

Absolutely scum bags...

Absolutely scum bags that doesn't even refund. My flights were cancelled and I asked for a refund and it's now been more than 90 days they have not bothered to speak on the phone neither email or chat and just keep asking to fill out a form.

Absolutely scammers and a scumbag the CEO is a scum of first number in the world and doesn't even care about his customers he is absolutely ugly duckling that just thinks he can earn money by scamming customers and just go offline and does not even bother to talk to people at all!!

Anyone who buys a to let I warn you to not buy it because they will cancel and do not refund at all so be warned.

Sad UIA experience

Bought tickets in May, flights have been canceled in June, still no refund, not even a reply from them.

They could at least let us know when we're going to receive the funds back...nothing.

Keep away from this airline

Against the good advice of my Ukrainian fiance, I booked a flight from Toronto to Kyiv using UIA. I thought, "Why not? The borders are open, UIA is offering the flight, and it's a direct flight! This means no messing with other airports." I couldn't have been more wrong. My future wife liked the idea of a non-stop flight, but warned me that the flight could be cancelled. I booked the flight and the money was sucked from my credit card immediately. Two days later, I received an email from UIA saying my flight had been cancelled due to Covid-19. WTH? Why was the flight even offered if, only two days later, it would be cancelled? I was given different options about refunds, vouchers and so on, so I chose a refund. I was then told by UIA that my request for a refund would be considered in 90 days. Considered? To my mind this means they'll think about it and if I'm lucky I might get a partial refund in a year. However, I still needed to get to Ukraine. I booked with LOT Polish Airlines and flew to Kyiv via Warsaw without delays or problems. I will never again deal with UIA. To my mind, they are absolutely corrupt and dishonest. You have been warned.

Waiting my refund for +5 months

I’m waiting my refund for 5,5 month. As many people, my flight has been canceled due to the COVID 19. I bought my tickets through @govoyages for a trip to Egypt in April. Since the April 4, I’m waiting the refund. Impossible to get access to the flyUIA contact center. I sent a message to the FlyUIA president and I hope that he will get back to me. It’s my worst customer experience.

GotoGate - UIA

I booked my Flight ticket with UIA through GoToGate in June 2019 for 1st April 2020 but it was cancelled due to covid-19 since then i have not got my refund and still waiting, looking at all the review this airline is really bad in my case i am not sure if the airline or gotogate not refunding me. although i get email from GotoGate saying they have not got any refund from the UIA.

Scummy company

Scummy company. They cancelled 2 of my flights. I put in for a voucher for 1 of them while I was attempting to get a refund from my CC for the first one. They never responded to anything, but did respond to my request for a refund from my CC, stating that they gave me a voucher that I asked for. Yes, I asked for a voucher because I needed something to fly home!!! No ability to get a refund or a request to change the flight, and the voucher didn't even come until I purchased the 2nd flight! Complete scam company. They are actively fighting disputes attempting to keep money that they've stolen. They need to be investigated this is ridiculous.

Horrendous Airline

I reached out to the company numerous times to try to get a refund for my ticket, which is a fully-refundable ticket. They did not want to give me a refund. This was ridiculous considering I had paid extra money to purchase a fully-refundable ticket. After several weeks, they finally agreed to give me a promo code. However, the flight I booked with the promo code was cancelled, and now the airline will not respond to any of my emails, calls, or requests sent through their website. It appears that this company is just as corrupt as the Ukrainian government. I came to visit Ukraine with an open mind, but I will leave with much less respect for the Ukrainian people and their country after dealing with this disgraceful airline.

CORRUPTION

UIA is trying to hold on the money for flights cancelled due to Corona.

I'd booked an economy ticket for April on UIA on behalf of somebody else. The flight then got cancelled/never took place due to Corona.
The "refund" which I requested from UIA turned out to be a "promo code" which
... can't be transferred to anybody else
... must be used within one year by the original passenger
... can't be used in connection with bookings for multiple passengers
If the flight where you use the promo-code is used costs less than the voucher UIA keeps the balance.
So in fact UIA are doing their best to hold onto the money without actually making the flight, speculating that most of the promo-codes will expire because most people can't use them due to the narrow conditions.
The emails I'm writing to their customer relations contact are all bouncing although my email provider isn't black-listed for sure.
Shady. Never again.

NOT replying at all!!!

Needed to change a booking. They are NOT RESPONDING!!! Not at all!!! Had to book another flight to get to my destination, damage 120 Euro!!! This company sucks and is not reliable at all.

the Worst client Service , the worst company

I am a French citizen, I've bought a ticket with this company for the 2nd May.. on 19th of April , ive asked to be refund , they've answered that they cannot refund a 100 percents because the flights were not canceled at that moment. But ,, how those flights could have been done ,if at that moment , the French government has announced the isolation and flight interdiction till 11th may...so I'm still talking with them about the refund , and even now , when their flights were canceled , they are saying that ive agreed to be refund on 19th of April (wich is true ,at that moment I thought to take at least something, a bad idea of course) , and they are refusing to refund me ..so I find this as a lack of honest from their part.
