Absolutely fantastic from initial…
Absolutely fantastic from initial conversation regarding my inquiry to the fantastic advice given once I had placed my order for my bifold and sliding patio.
I was given an approximate lead time due to it being a non standard colour which was expected.
Kate and Andy were superb throughout with relevant communication regarding my order, they both really took time and care with me as a customer, which meant so much too.
On the day of fitting the guys arrived and took charge of everything prior to the arrival of my doors and glass which was great and made me feel at ease.

Delayed twice and informed the day before.
There were 2 orders. At the start of the quote, I was given delivery timelines. On placing the order, I was given extended delivery timelines. Part order was delayed twice (after getting written confirmation via email both times). They said it was the supplier and thus not their fault. This is just passing on the blame.
I had to pay extra as I was staying elsewhere and my builders organization was totally disrupted because Foldingdoors2u informed me just the day before the second delayed date that it would be delayed again! It caused a lot of distress. I was given 100 pounds discount as a goodwill gesture and I was made to feel that they are doing me a huge favor.
Ways to improve:
1.Take responsibility. Your suppliers / partners fault is your fault to the client.
2.Have vision over your supply chain
3.Inform the client well in advance (not the day before) of delays.

Your original order was for 3 sliding doors but you only confirmed sizes for two of them initially and at the same time changed the colour from standard black inside and out which is a stock colour to a non-stock dual colour of black external and white internal finish. I advised you at the time that it would be a longer lead time than originally quoted as special colour profiles have to be ordered and around two weeks later you confirmed the sizes of the third door.
We confirmed the delivery date for the first two doors to you in good faith however when the profiles were received by production they had to reject them due to quality issues with the paint finish and we advised you that there would be a delay whilst we waited for replacement profiles to delivered. Special colours are shipped from the profile supplier’s plant in Spain and unfortunately the replacement shipment was delayed a further week due to a Customs matter and we did keep you fully advised of the situation.
Delivery of the third door was made on the date we had originally provided to you.
You will also recall that you requested the single window on the order to be delivered early and to avoid a delivery charge of £150 + vat from the supplier we arranged for our own installers to collect and deliver this for you to save you the charge.
I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations however supply chain issues do occasionally impact on production and deliveries of special orders which are outside of our control and we did keep you fully informed throughout the process.

Bad experience with delivery of the door, supposed to be delivered on the Thursday between a certain set time and after a lot of chasing we got the delivery at approximately 8.30pm at night, we waited in all day but it was just a waste of our time, not good at all

I am sorry that your delivery was delayed a few hours due to a minor breakdown of the delivery vehicle.
However we did call you at 1.44pm that afternoon as soon as we were advised of the issue to let you know of the delay. We gave you the option of accepting delivery later that evening or moving the delivery to first drop the next day but you decided on going ahead with delivery later that evening which we arranged for you.
Breakdowns are always inconvenient to all of us when they occur but having agreed on the solution to the matter there was then no need to wait in all day and the driver had an out of hours contact number for us if needed which we mentioned to you.
We offer an hours’ notice to all our customers as we advise in our delivery notifications which saves anyone waiting in all day or contacting us for updates if they don't wish to.

Good friendly communication on the phone and in person. The engineer who measured up gave us good advice on configuration and number of panels. Items delivered a few days before install and was given good notice of when everything would happen. The time between order and fit was good also.
