I love the illustrations: they focus, properly I think, on Mankind rather than on the Overlords, especially the splendid cover portrait of Jan Rodricks without printing. The 1989 prologue displays one of Clarke's prime characteristics, as does the novel: his optimism. Beautiful job, FS.
