I remember reading this book a few months after it was first published. I was gripped. It made a big impact on me and steered some of my life decisions over the years. To prove the point see attached photo of 11 foot tiger shark that bumped my out of the way in the Bahamas, but left me intact. This beautiful edition of the book is one to treasure.

I always wanted a high quality copy of JAWS to call my own. I have read this book many times as a teen and always loved the story, which is more dark and the characters are much more fleshed out than the movie. Personally I always thought that the novel was better. All the undesirable people die, like an old morality tale from the 50s or the old west. My only complaint about this copy are the interior illustrations, while nice they are included, they add nothing. I am not a fan of this artist style whatsoever. But the cover art is beautiful and the slipcover is a nice touch. Overall, a great book.
