I love how Folio updated the classics by Ian Fleming. Optics and haptics appeal, the style is modern, yet somehow old-school. I especially love the illustrations by Fay Dalton. She is a London-based illustrator and the winner of the 2010 Pickled Ink Award for illustration. Her atmospheric Bond artwork is a reminiscent of 50s movie poster illustrations. You can sense the glamour and danger in her drawings – James Bond’s world comes alive in a dark, yet beautiful look.

Excellent book to add to the Ian Fleming collection, I have not yet got round to reading this book yet but it has the normal well made apperance and lovely colour drawings on the book. These books can look expensive but once you get and hold and read them the cost is well worth the experiance.

My favourite James Bond book has been shown the sort of love and care by Folio that very few other book companies come anywhere near matching. The Folio Society books are a work of art and you cannot put a price on the experience of reading your favourite books in beautiful covers and fonts with gorgeous artwork. I am already looking forward to my next purchase from The Folio Society.
