It is expensive, but if you can spare the money, this edition is completely worth it. You do not need another. Impressive illustrations, very good overall quality, and a nice font. Easy to read and a wonderful book to display. A piece of art.

I do not wish to leave a comment; I have been a Folio Society member and buyer since 2005 and all the books I have purchased are of superb quality. In the future, it would be nice if you had an option on these surveys for us old folk to simply leave a rating. Good-bye.

A good translation in a pretty book. Very nice artwork inside the book and on the slipcase and printed in a very easily readable font on smooth premium paper. Just sad that it is bound in paper and that the extensive and very helpful notes by the translator are not included, but that is also somewhat understandable. At least the paper binding is not easily damaged. Worth it if you really like Dante, Neil Packer's art and the translation by Kirkpatrick, but you should also get your hands on his useful notes on the text.
