It is not advertised as such, but this is a second printing of The Shining. I was not aware that Folio did multiple printings, which is on me. It’s still a beautiful book, but if you are expecting a first (or only) edition, you may be disappointed. I would like for the site to clearly state what you are purchasing. It only seems fair!

Incredible edition and magnificent print. It emerge the very artisan craft of the book when you touch it. The feel of the cover, the weight, the smell and sensation give by the paper when you have it in hand. It's an incredible work and a book valuable to have in every library (and life).

I bought The Shining as well as Jurassic park for my two best friends. And I, as well as they, are in LOVE with these books. they are beautiful. The illustrations are stunning/ These are definitely editions you want on your shelf. Well worth the money.

The indentation of a silver wasp shines against a darkened backdrop, so dark, so black, so beautiful it too dons a glimmer. Red adorns the belly of the beast, concealing the stinger like evil vailed by nature. Bleeding down against the inside walls, the reader finds an eerie message, and as the page is turned, the thickness of the paper . . . its feel, its smell, its color, it all begins to morph into an ominous sensation, admonishing the consciousness that what follows might be all too real: the story of a boy, who, on the surface, simply had “an unusually keen sense of perception,” nothing extrasensory. He did what “so-called mystics and mind readers do.”
