The pictorial slipcase – such a feature of this lavish series – shows Bond exploring a seabed fraught with hazards, in one of the book’s most memorable scenes. A stylish cloth binding, inspired by Bond’s impeccable suits, rounds off this exquisite edition.

A really superb issue of Fleming's classic Bond story. The illustrations are superb and entirely right as accompaniments for the stories. The entire series, which I have been collecting, is a joy and this is simply the best edition of the Bond books for many years.

I’ve not read this one yet, but I have read the earlier Folio James Bond. The illustrations are beautiful, and the books are fascinating; Fleming’s original stories are different to the films, which is so interesting - Dr No for example doesn’t die in a pool of foaming water, clutching with a mechanical hand, but under a pile of guano...
