Fabulous edition
Exquisite quality as per Folio’s usual standard.
I have had a love affair with the story of Damerel and Venetia for fifty years, and an abiding love for Folio books for thirty of those years - the combination of the two is my deepest delight and an utter joy worth every penny.
Wonderful illustrations enhance a beautifully presented book.
Very beautiful book
Great stuff!
Beautiful, something to keep forever
Beautiful edition of a much loved book!
Beautiful !
I love Georgette Heyer and I'm so glad that Folio is producing an edition to keep. More please!
Very pleased!
This is such a beautiful book. The illustrations are excellent. I love to read a beautifully made book.
I think I've hoped Folio Society will pick up Georgette Heyer's works since the day that I read my first historical romance by her. She's an unrivalled author in British literature and I'm glad to see that she's getting special editions off Folio Society, and can only hope that they will keep them coming. The Folio Society edition is beautifully presented, with magnificent artwork. It's a book that begs to be displayed and start conversations. I completely agree with the introduction by Stephen Fry, where many may have discounted Heyer on account of her work being vaguely romantic and entirely ignoring her incisive wit and the methodical research that went into the writing, not to mention her utterly hilarious situational comedy. There's nobody like Heyer. Keep 'em coming, Folio Society!
Fantastic author done justice by this edition
The illustrations add to the enjoyment of the story
This is a beautiful edition of one of my all time favourite books and authors. It is of very good quality and the slip case will ensure it stays in good condition. The colour plated inside the book are good too.
As ever, the book is well presented.
