Absolutely awful experience. Find another solicitor!
Unprofessional, belligerent solicitor named 'Nick Hall', who continually gaslit me and gave a myriad of reasons why he was not assisting with my matter.
There are some wonderful solicitors out there - this is just not one of them.
I guess they will have to get staff to write more fake 5 star reviews to balance all the genuine, 1 star reviews... Let's see...

Recently bought and flat and was told it would be tiring but unfortunately Forster Dean made the process exhausting. It took 8 months for me to move into a flat with no chain, the initial delay was out of their hands, but the final few months Forster Dean prolonged the process unnecessarily and were unable to sympathise with me when I was asking for an update. I just kept getting told to trust them but this became increasingly difficult as time passed. On the day of exchanges Forster Dean forgot to include that I had a help to buy ISA, I declared this during our first chat and in the paperwork on day 1. This added even further unnecessary stress and they failed to acknowledge this. I think Forster Dean failed to appreciate that buying a flat for the first time is a life changing experience and they need to be a lot more empathetic when dealing with clients. I have rated 2 star and not 1 as they carried out a lot of due diligence and to their credit conducted thorough searches, but overall I was disappointed with how they made me feel as if I was putting them out every time I called or emailed, a truly exhausting experience.

Forster Dean were fantastic! They sold/bought my properties and were very informative throughout!
They made the whole process appear so easy!

I would have no hesitation in recommending them for your Conveyancing needs.

Our mortgage advisor recommended Forster Dean to us as we wanted to complete in time for the stamp duty holiday ending. Jackie Farrow and her team were excellent throughout. 8 weeks from having our mortgage in principle approved to us completing on the sale (no chain, purchasing the house we rented). We can't thank Jackie and her team enough and would highly recommend to anyone.

We have used Forster Dean for our past 3 purchases and 2 sales. Each time we have had nothing but a positive experience. Jackie undertook our conveyancing this time and was fantastic throughout. Her communication with us was above and beyond what we expected. The process of selling our property was quite straightforward but the purchase of the new one was quite complicated at times. Jackie kept open lines of communication with us throughout, often calling or emailing to keep us up to date with the process and putting our minds at ease. Awful- they acted as the solicitors for the people I bought the house from. The solicitor was rude and her constant threats about my solicitors supposedly holding up the money nearly made me walk away from the purchase. I will never buy a house were they are solicitors in the future.

I have experienced excellent service from Jackie Farrow, she went above an beyond in a very stressful situation.
Jackie answered every question to achieve the very best possible result in a different situation her determination to resolve an overwhelming time was second to none. Jackie herself worked tirelessly on this case and fulfilled everything we aimed to achieve. I would highly recommend Jackie Farrow to anybody who is looking for an experienced professional solicitor in my experience she is one of the best around .

Forster Dean represented the person buying our house. The sales almost fell through because their solicitor Danielle Jameson. She was slow to respond and difficult. On one occasion it almost felt like Danielle was trying to disrupt the sale, by stopping proceedings until the surveyor acknowledged that they have taken into consideration that there is social housing on the estate, which the buyer was fully aware of. Weeks had past when myself and the buyer decided to contact the surveyor and the lender to get answers, who were happy with the evaluation. It seemed as if Danielle made no attempt to contact the leader. Then for some reason Danielle refused to order funds from the leader delaying the sales further. Stay away from Forster Dean they will cause you all sorts of stress and problems.

This has got to be the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
My partner has been in contact with them now for 4 months and we are still no closer. Poor communication, rudeness and excuses. They should be ashamed of themselves. I would avoid this company at all costs.

We had our offer accepted in February, were told the process would take 8-12 weeks, but then Covid kicked in and we were so so reasonable, with both me and my partner being key workers.
But it took 32 WEEKS to complete, NO CHAIN. FIRST TIME BUYERS. THE HOUSE WAS EMPTY. NO PROBLEMS WITH THE HOUSE WHATSOEVER.
It could not have been more simple, forbid if we were in a chain etc. If it wasn’t for the seller being so kind and understanding of us constantly having to tell him and his solicitors that there was nothing we could do and us literally hounding our solicitors daily to get any form of response we would’ve 100% lost our house and we don’t know how we didn’t.
I was reduced to tears trying to explain to our solicitor how stressful and ridiculous it all was with their constant excuses and all I got back was a disgusting attitude and a response that proved that they only cared about getting one up on us and absolutely no consideration of what we were going through.
Never mind being passed around to about 10 different people who had no idea what was going on it was honestly complete chaos.
They ought to be ashamed of themselves for charging us the full total bill after we just hadn’t got the energy left to try harder to get compensation, we just wanted to wash our hands clean.
AVOID!!!

Yet again failed to sort the deal today. How many weeks in a row can they make a mess of things. Solicitors are supposed to work for you, but these work to their own needs and not yours. What an absolute joke this outfit is. THEY JUST DONT COMMUNICATE. Some excuse about faulty internet this week. Pathetic. I’m pulling out tomorrow if it’s not sorted, so either way it’s over for me. I just feel sorry for all of the people tied up with them desperate to move.
They have contacted my solicitor asking me to remove this post quicker than they replied to my solicitor and estate agent for queries regarding my case. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂.

More interested in their shiny image than their customers.
You need your head examined if you even consider using them. 1 star is too many.
2 weeks ago my solicitor sent them a date for completion 2nd Oct. Today 1st of Oct they said they need 5 days to apply for the money. How is 2 weeks not enough?
They send the same question over and over as a stalling tactic so that it holds up your case on purpose, they obviously have far to much work and not enough people. Today the 8th, still not sorted even though on the 2nd they needed another 5 days.🤯😤
They are a joke and should be struck off for their gross incompetence.
Never answer phone calls or emails very very stressful.
Be warned, do not use cheap sols, especially not these if you want to move in a reasonable time frame.

We were recommended Forster Dean by our bank when applying for our first mortgage. Excellent service was provided and we are really happy with our case handler Jackie Farrow. We were always able to get in direct contact and call backs were followed up as expected. Despite the pressures/uncertainties the current pandemic has caused, the level of service provided was great and the process completed smoothly on our end.
