NEVER DEAL WITH DH GATE is my advice.

Having never dealt with DH GATE before I saw a jacket that I wanted but could not get anywhere else in my size.

Therefore I opened an account with DH Gate and placed an order worth over GBP £90 with a “seller” listed as “ maonidayi ”.

The order was placed on 14 March 2024

After a few days I checked the status only to find a message from the “seller” maonidayi saying that the jacket was out of stock and suggesting that they could send a different jacket.

Because I did not want the other different jacket, I cancelled my order.

The next day I discovered that the "seller" maonidayi had refused to cancel the order, so my money was gone.

When I tried to get help from DH Gate, their system would not allow me to make a complaint until after goods had been received and only if I had clicked to say that the goods had been received !!

Because the “seller” had no stock, this was obviously impossible because I had received no goods because there were no goods to be had.

Therefore DH Gate had created a CATCH 22 situation for any purchaser who had money taken but no goods received.

I was stuck DH Gate's CATCH 22. This is why you should not take the risk and NEVER DEAL WITH DH GATE.

After many many many messages to DH Gate over many many days – over about a week in total – all to no avail, I finally contacted DH Gate's CEO Diane Wang with a letter of complaint setting out the problems.

Diane Wang's details are easily found by researching the internet.

Today ( 3rd April 2024 ) I finally managed to get my money refunded, but not without loads and loads of grief and hassle.

The lesson to all readers of this review is simple – I recommend that you NEVER DEAL WITH DH GATE. You have been warned.

Bought a counter fit phone. Provided evidence of it to DHgate and was told to contact the Seller. Really? Since when does someone that rips you off voluntarily give you money back? DO NOT BUY from this site! SCAM!!

I give Dh gate 0 .., the seller sent me a plastic material wedding dress … looks awful.. and I can’t even open a dispute or request a refund … sooo disappointed

I ordered a 8bitdo N30 Bluetooth controller
And i received the wrong order. The one that I received does NOT have bluetooth. It's the 2,4G versión and i didnt ask for that. The listing said Bluetooth and the image was correct without 2.4 showing. But they send me wrong item.

So i talked to the seller of the item and he offered me a 5 dollar refund. I told him that I didn't agree to that since he send me wrong item.
He tried offer me 10dollar so i told him I would agree to 16 dollar and proof that he had the controller. I wanted the 8bitdo N30 NS Bluetooth edition.
The seller send me at this point a photoshopped image taken from the website of 8bitdo.
Told me that was the picture taken in the warehouse.
While it was the promotional picture from the 8bitdo website.
I would have escalated this issue sooner to Dhgate but the website makes you wait before you can escalate a claim.
All this time I had to upload my evidence. That i received the wrong controller. That i have proof of what I ordered I made a screenshot of what the seller was selling. And now to escalate I also made a screenshot of this photoshopped picture while the only thing that the seller provided was a tracking code as evidence.

I explained again to DHgate that i would agree to 16 dollar and proof that the seller has the controller I want that. Or else I would want a full refund. I even told them that if the seller had the controller I would buy that controller but i dont want to pay for a controller that i didnt order.
After emailing back and forward they refunded me 16 dollar and ended all communication.

I explained to them that I should not be paying for seller mistake that i payed 42euro for a controller they sell on aliexpress for 24euro including shipping.
Because the seller could not provide a controller and photoshopped a picture. I can only conclude that they deliberately sell you items that they don't have. Or send you the wrong one.

If the seller makes a mistake you should not pay for the mistake it is the seller at fault if the seller sends you fraudulent picture it is no longer a mistake but a SCAM.

I would recommend everybody to Never buy from a website that does not provide paypal as a payment option. Instead of going to DHgate just go to aliexpress. It is much cheaper and they are a trusted seller unlike dhgate.

I had to resort to Visa Card to obtain my money back because the goods never arrived. Fortunately I kept screen grabs of all my correspondence about the lack of response from a non existent customer services. Unhappy experience

Absolutely disgusting website!!!! There is no way to communicate with sellers, seller decline refund or dispute! Tried to come to contact with the customer sevive, no chance! Stay away from this rubbish website!

I would never buy anything from here or recommend someone to make same mistake!!!!!!!!

I wish I could give this no stars. I ordered a machine for my business in September it is Now December and my product still has not arrived. The seller created a shipping label draft, but never actually sent my machine. I contacted DHgate for a refund now I have to wait for them to give me my money back even though I’ve waited 3 months for my package. This company needs to be banned!!!

Do not buy from this website. Paid for goods. Did not receive them. Virtually impossible to contact them. This is a SCAM. Save your hard earned cash and shop elsewhere.

I received my items, however one seller sent a damaged item ( he easily refunded me.) However, this other shop specifically made sure to not post pictures of the interior of a handbag. When I uploaded images of the upside down interior and opted for a refund, customer service refused saying my order was delivered…the delivery had nothing to do with my refund request. The seller especially, knew exactly what to upload to keep the focus on the “delivery” of the package. DHGATE is a total joke and I wouldn’t recommend them at all, they are NOT a buyers friend. Now I’m going to contact my bank since I was never told I could not even ASK for a refund; as it is listed as an option !

Sells copyrighted material that they have stolen online and refuse to remove it. Do not buy from this god awful company of scam artists. I can not imagine what the quality of some of these items looks like knowing they are using low quality stolen images.

I received conformation 23 days ago that my order was finally shipped. I have diligently tried to contact the DH & the seller of this product with zero response. DO NOT BUY FROM DH GATE.

DO NOT BUY FROM DHGate. You will not receive your order and it is impossible to receive your refund. Especially when the seller knows how to make it impossible from the beginning. Every single order I've placed on DHGate, I never did receive. And I only received a refund on a couple of orders. The most recent order, the selller (bigbenhu....stay far away from this seller) made the tracking unavailable, but yet supplied a legit tracking number. He was clever how he did this. So he sent me a small plastic stick and he did that so he would have a legit tracking number but not one that was TRACKABLE on DHGate. So when I received the stick of plastic, I was not able to request a refund because it kept saying, "Your parcel is not delivered until now. Please check the shipping information with selller. So I could not request a refund and if I clicked on received my order, DHGate would release the money to the seller and I would not be able to open a dispute or request a refund. So he was clever how he managed to screw me out of being able to get a refund. This website should be removed.

I wish I could give this site ZERO stars. I ordered something in January. It was supposed to arrive within 3-4 business days. 6 months later and I have never received these items. I spoke to this seller numerous times requesting tracking info. I was given fake tracking info. I eventually just told this person I wanted my money back. They have ignored me or told me that these items were on the way. I have since reported this to my bank but have not received my money back. So frustrated and feel completely taken advantage of. This seller bob996 is a thief and needs to be shut down. They should not be allowed to do this to any else. I just want my money back!

DO NOT BUY OR GET SCAMMED BY THEM. Put order in and still did not receive items 3 months later, could not get hold of anyone for a refund and trued numerous ways. They are quick to take your money and not get anything for it, they lied and said so.ething was delivered when untrue.

There are some trusted sellers on the website , but you have to be lucky to find them. Plus, I left a poor review to a seller cause I’ve ordered a shirt size 16 and he sent me a size 6. Apparently this is how their size works there. Since September last year I’m being harassed to delete my review cause he’ll be fired if I won’t, he keeps calling me friend and he message me at least 3 times a week. I’ve tried to report him or block him, but it’s impossible. Joke.

Be warned. Like many Chinese vendors, they will steal your money if given a chance. I bought a v expensive computer but was given a fake tracking number. Fortunately AMEX reversed the charges. Loss of trust is the easiest way to destroy a business. DO NOT BUY FROM CHINESE COMPANIES UNLESS YOU CAN GET A REFUND FROM YOUR CC OR PAYPAL.
