Young Michael at the Holloway Road branch fixed my damaged Yale lock with speed efficiency and a smile. Excellent service. Thank you

Michael from Franchi on Holloway Road gave me great advice and fixed my broken antique key perfectly all within a day. Highly recommend!
Went in this morning to buy cupboard door handles. Michael was most helpful explaining the sizes, alternatives and ordering process. He then managed to find four antique solid brass handles which were... See more

Good people, good work
Got keys and a fob made at Franchi today. Bit of a further walk from home than other services, but the keys actually work and the staff are friendly.
Also picked up some good advice on door handles. Thoroughly recommend

Great service from Michael thanks!
Great service
Tried 2 other keycutters for a front door key with no success as the key was too unusual. Someone recommended Franchi on Holloway Road. Parked right outside and Michael cut one straightaway - no fuss. Couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend going there first.

Michael @ Franchi’s did a brilliant job…
Michael @ Franchi’s did a brilliant job & managed to create a key for a bespoke lock that I was unable to replace. I’d been trying the find someone to help for weeks and everyone said I’d have to go back to the manufacturer. Michael was the only one to take the job on and turned it around in a day. Excellent service.

Fantastic attitude and service
Fantastic attitude and service - helped by cutting a length of steel which wasn't part of the deal - willingly and helpfully. First class. Key department. Michael.

Huge thanks to Michael and Franchis!!
Michael who works in the key section of franchis was an absolute hero! I brought in a door handle I couldn’t find anywhere else that had a nail broken in the fixing part so was unusable. I came in just before closing and by 8:15 the next morning he had fixed it - removed the nail and re threaded - and provided new screws for the handle to boot. So grateful because that handle isn’t manufactured any longer so the only solution was to fix and handymen said they didn’t know what to do with it. In general a great little store - lots of handy hardware and paint etc. thanks Franchis and Michael!!!

Finally got my unique key cut
I wouldn’t usually write a review but was finding it difficult to get a unique key cut but the Franchi Holloway branch were able to help me straight away albeit it being 7.20am in the morning. Very quick to cut my key and really helpful. Highly recommend.

Professional Service
Over many years of using the Holloway Road shop, I have always found the staff at Franchi’s to be helpful and knowledgable. Today, I was assisted by a guy called Michael in the Locksmith’s Section. I was having problems with my postbox lock. He was very helpful and friendly and went out of his way to help. He gave me good advice and was very amicable to deal with. Thank you Michael.

Rude, expensive and confrontational
Went here recently to get a few keys cut after our locks were replaced. When we received the keys and took them home we found out none of them fit the lock. I went back to explain that the keys didn’t even resemble the original and it took nearly 5 of them to recognise the wrong blank had been used by them. Nearly two weeks on from the original order the correct keys that should have been used in the first place were cut. I was assured on the phone of compensation for the inconvenience as I had paid in excess of £130, but when I went to collect them from the store I was greeted with a rude and confrontational male employee. I started by giving my first name and he rudely responded with ‘yeh anything more than that!?’. Each key cut cost upwards of £15!!! Very expensive for such poor service. Not once did he apologise for the inconvenience of their mistake and when I asked for the compensation for the situation he became rude and accused me. Not once did he give any shape or form of customer service or general politeness. I spent two weeks chasing Franchi up, they were good on the phone before but this man (apparently the manager) who dealt with me in store on collection has totally ruined my experience with the company. I would not recommend this to anyone. Expensive and rude.

Great service
Great service. Always past this shop but never entered until today. I had a bit of an issue with a key and out of all the shops in the area they were the only ones who managed to help seriously their service is above and beyond. Service with a smile which honestly made me feel happier and calmer too. Will definitely be returning to get keys and other supplies in the future.

Excellent customer service
Excellent service from Will who helped me source and repair a specific door accessory. After making a few calls he arranged repairs at less than half the price I had been quoted from other suppliers and kept me updated on shipping and delivery. Fast, efficient and friendly customer experience.

You always get good service at Franchi
You always get good service at Franchi, be it at Holloway Rd or Kentish town. I was amazed how the Kentish town locksmith replaced parts of a door lock I took there to avoid the expense of a new one and additional carpentry. Michael at the lock department at Holloway Road is just as good, always helpful and really efficient.

If it wasn’t so stressful it would be funny
Our window was jammed shut recently and we contacted Holloway Road for a locksmith. When they arrived they jimmied it open and removed the stuck handle. However they then weren’t able to close the window, for reasons unknown to them, and left it unsecured and open to the elements, saying they would phone the next day with an update. They didn’t.
The day after, when WE got in touch to find out what was happening with our wide-open window, they told us they couldn’t fix it, wouldn’t be returning but wouldn’t charge us for opening the window as “it would make it easier for someone else to repair”.
They gave us the number of a third party who didn’t reply to my emails then turned up out of the blue on our doorstep. We never heard from them again.
We just had a competent tradie out to mend it, who was quite surprised to report their findings - Franchi had put the handle on backwards and depressed the child lock, hence the window wouldn’t shut. Quite remarkable.
Franchi rip off
I have today attended Franchi store In Holloway rd to buy a dewalt saw blade I got charged £35 for the blade when everyone else is charging between £13- £18 so be carful people there are price differences but this store is on another level won’t be going back any time soon
