I found Alex on line as we needed service and cleaning carried out. And I wanted someone local after having various issues with service engineers previously. From first point of contact to completion very professional and done a great job and explained the whole process from start to finish. I would recommend Alex to anyone who needs a good service engineer for a pool or a hot tub.

Freedom Spas is an independent company owned by Alex, a great, friendly and very knowledgeable hot tub technician with a lot of experience behind him. This is reflected in a way words can't describe when he carries out work. I was blown away by his professionalism and integrity.
We recently moved into a new house which had a hot tub that the owner kindly left behind for us. Deciding we should have it serviced, Alex came down and did the job for us quoting a reasonable price compared to other companies.
Alex walked through the full service with me and took a look at the chemicals we currently had, throwing out useless or expired ones and providing us with some fresh ones that we didn't yet have or know that we needed. He explained exactly what each chemical did, how it would effect the water quality, and when to use them.
Alex identified a couple of issues during the service, one of which was a leak which he fixed there and then as part of the service. The other was a heater on the brink of failure which he ordered and returned and replaced within two days. Alex showed me exactly where the issues were and pointed them out to me so that I could clearly see them, then quoted me for a fix, rather than just telling me there was an issue which couldn't be seen and ordering the parts to fix it.
Alex then went through some advisories which we should keep in mind for next year, or if we experience any problems before the next service. He also provided us two filters and informed us of how to get the best performance out of them.
Throughout the whole time he was here, Alex went through everything with me as well as some good general chit chat. He stayed in contact via text, reminding us he was coming the day before and letting us know when he was on his way. I couldn't have asked for a better service. We will be using you again, Thanks.

We found Alex via an online search for someone to repair our leaking ageing hot tub (Sundance - 17 years old). He responded promptly and suggested a quick site visit to assess the problems and made an appointment for a few days later. On the visit he identified a number of issues, the parts needed and gave a reasonable cost estimate. On return the following week he spent over 3 hours trying to get the hot tub working but eventually had to concede defeat - our Sundance tub was 17 years old and even with the new parts further problems were identified as he worked to fit them - it was time to finally think of a new hot tub. Alex was more disappointed that we were and would not accept payment for the parts and his time. He was really helpful with advice re choice of new hot tub - eventually we settled on an Erebus2 from Earth Spa - the choice having a great service and reliability record, availability of spares and UK support. It is also much more energy efficient with the option to fit an air source heat pump later if we wish. He arranged all the details re delivery and fitting and pushed to get it delivered and working before Christmas. It looks great - we are very satisfied customers and so pleased that we found Alex. Throughout the process he has been a pleasure too deal with, a real expert own Hot Hot tubs with lots of practical advice and suggestions. We will now look to Alex for an annual service visit and check over.

Alex set my expectations as to cost right from the beginning, so there were no surprises.

Alex contacted me the night before to reconfirm our booking, showed up on time and with the right tools for the job. As we made a large investment on our spa through a shady 3rd party I had a lot of questions and concerns. Alex spent the time answering all my questions and explained what he was doing with the maintenance check. He identified a fault from when we originally purchased the tub and rectified the problem. After having a leaking hot tub for a few months, we found Alex at FreedomSpas, after an initial visit to work out which part was leaking, he returned 2 days later with part, and fitted, leaving us with a fully working hot tub. Alex was prompt, kept us informed of costs and timing. He was very knowledgeable of our system, and has given us some good advice for our future maintenance. Would fully recommend.

BThe digital display on our hot tub touch control panel had stopped working. Alex responded to our enquiry very quickly, but could not find a replacement, I managed to source one on Amazon and again Alex arrived to fit it very promptly. The time from our initial enquiry to the completion of the job all happened within a week. We are delighted with the outcome. Thank you Alex

Alex serviced our jacuzzi today. I thought his inter personal style was excellent. He provided excellent support and advice in relation to maintaining the jacuzzi, and had the patience to explain things to me. His work was first rate. We will use him again, and I would happily recommend him.
