Freedrum have acknowledged that my sticks are faulty - they agreed that they would ship them back for repair but then made excuses to avoid the return. They have then automatically taken a subscription that I can’t make use of - I’ve sought a refund umpteen times but Freedrum have failed to respond. Terrible product and service.

I have waited for the sticks since august 2020. Was asking for a refund in august 2024 and still waiting...

Have seen the sticks being sold online. So backers like seems not to count for the company.

I Was in love with the idea of Freedrum 2 in September 2020 😳😳😳. 4 years later I’m still waiting for Freedrum to deliver… really a very sad experience

The project just bailed on backers and did it for years. No product, no refunds, just useless excuses and promises (even last communication was almost a year ago). But they definitely have money to advertise these sticks everywhere. Do not waste a penny on these scammers

It does not teach you to play drums. It teaches you how to play this toy and bad habits for when you do try real drums. Waste of money.

Honestly, I dont know how these guys live with themselves morally after having such a bad product that doesnt work and are clearly aware of it seeing as all of these reviews are public and they have responded to some of them and yet I see promotions from them for this all the time in emails and such.

I bought the first one which I feel like was a good product...so very nearly there but didnt quite work because of all the drifting and when they announced version 2 I thought hey...surely they are doing this because they saw the flaws in the first one and got them all sorted so they are going in for a second try. I managed to get in early on the kickstarter for version 2 so thankfully didnt pay too much but I think version 2 is actually worse than version 1.

I hit on the same spot over and over and maybe 1 attempt in 10 I can consistently hit the same drum but then when I try to hit other drums it just starts drifting like crazy.

The thing is, I can't even sell the things on as second hand because I feel guilty I am just selling someone a product that clearly doesnt work. I really dont know how the people that make this product live with themselves selling this for a living.

Oh...also...the app is tripe (with the freedrum sticks). You have to go through this tutorial where you have to hit each drum but in the right spot. The first 2 times I did this the sticks werent moving in the app but when I hit it did make a sound...took me ages to figure out what I was even supposed to be doing. Then once I restarted the app (twice) the stick started moving in the app when I moved them in real life but finding and hitting the space they want you to hit was a nightmare.

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

Edit to respond to their response. I did get in touch with the support team. I was simply told I was "playing them wrong" and was directed to some youtube videos showing how I should be playing them. These videos were not helpful.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Freedrum drumsticks and I'm using the application with Roland electronic drums. Given said that the application is awesome! I've been using it for over an year now and I can safely say that without it I would be nowhere today with the drums. The exercise and the songs that are part of them are great, and there is different styles for every taste. This is actually the only app currently that supports sheet notation, as far as I can tell, which I cannot tell how crucial is when learning drums from scratch. I've switched to note sheets on the first week and never looked back (yes, you need to understand what each note means - but come on - this is easy - they are less than 10 :-) This app got me from zero to playing drum covers that I can actually enjoy without much hassle and totally on my own schedule. You just need to be persistent. You guys, really rock! Keep up the good work.

And don't forget - the support team is really friendly and always willing to help. Don't hesitate to contact them if you face any issues.

App works really well and it's a lot of fun to play! I had just a few small technical niggles which were resolved either through reading the documentation or contacting their support team which were very helpful and friendly!

Would love to see more well known songs, more genres and more songs at intermediate / advanced levels!

Good product and amazing customer service! I travel and move around a lot, so having a traditional drum set was never an option for me. The Freedrum set is a fantastic choice for people in situations like mine. And the customer service is outstanding! Roy and Pablo went the extra mile to help me solve all the issues I encountered :) I really appreciate the quick responses and professional approach!

I had a great time using the software. I ran into some issues but they were resolved quickly through their support.

Ordered 11/2021 Never came in the mail. Freedrum responds with a tracking slip for someone else's order signed by a "Cole" I'm a woman with a different name and address. Waiting for email response since Aug. 3 2023.

I could not say more positive things about Freedrum. They have awesome products and awesome people. I use Freedrum Studio as a drum teacher with my students and they love it! It is a new way of bringing they joy of playing into music, which is perfect for this new generation. I also use the app often on my own for playing and practicing.

When I ordered the Freedrum Sticks, there was a delay in getting them delivered but their costumer service is wonderful and after having conversations with multiple people at Freedrum (George, Roy, Seyran...) I can say they are some of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of talking to. And now that I do have my sticks I can play/practice anywhere!

Unfortunately Freedrum did not rock for me. After waiting such a long time as a backer in 2020 (!) I finally received the Freedrum 2 set this spring (2023). Beautiful looks. Unfortunately I could not get near using the sticks the way they were supposed to work. I am only an amateur drummer but I think I can say that I understood the theory and that I could (and can) envision a virtual set, that is to say where to "hit" with the sticks. I could not figure out a way to handle the "drift" I was encountering. Fair enough Freedrum offered a return period with a full refund so I returned the sticks within the grace period. It did take three more months until I received the money this August. I really appreciate their accepting returns and offering the refund although I don't think they have to. Backing a project can mean losing your money or having to keep a product that does not live up to one's expectations. So I'm fine with the company and wish them all the best for their Freedrum project.

I'm a total beginner in drumming and I'm enjoying a lot. I've connected my kit to a pc with cable and i'm loving it. I'm starting from scratch. I've had to learn how the things worked on, and now i'm being rewarded for the effort ( having tension rods and passed 1 level , yuhuu)

The courses are great. For me al worked fine . It's true the app is new but it's working well. It will be nice to have more songs to practice on the course for example.

I like Freedrum and I hope it gets even better in the future. Taking into account that this is an experimental product that I supported via Indiegogo, I think it progresses well.

I waited for quite a long time (more than 2 years) for it and I received my Freedrum last winter. There were some accuracy issues (still are), but they are releasing firmware upgrades and I can see it improving with each upgrade.

I also had a problem with one of the sensors recently - the left pedal stopped turning on. I contacted the support and it was very good: they replied to my emails quickly, then asked me to send the device to them and sent it back, working. It took not too much time and the repair and shipment back and forth were free.

So the product has some problems, but I'd expect that from the Kickstarter/Indiegogo project. And I see that they are working hard on improvements and user support, thanks for that! Hope it will get better and better until all reviews will be 5 stars.

after the disappointment of my Freedrums failing following an update, the process of repairing/replacing the kit was conducted very professionally. Initial contact to report the failure had a slowish response but once the decision was made to repair/replace the communication was excellent and the agent dealing with the issue managed the situation very well

After almost 18 months of waiting (and multiple failed attempts to contact customer services to ask for timing) I finally received my Freedrum 2 sticks and sensors in the mail. Note: this was AFTER they also sent a kit to the wrong address in the wrong country.

Despite these customer experience issues, I was still eager to give my sticks and the app a try. Wow! What a disappointment. The orientation in the app seems like its working, but as soon as you move on from one piece of the kit - the snare for example and set up a floor tom - all of the previous orientation is gone. So when you hit the snare, maybe 20% of the time you get a snare and the rest of the time you get a random other sound like a cymbal or hi-hat.

I've asked for a full refund and to return this horrible product and in classic Freedrum form, I heard nothing back. I'm just assuming I've wasted hundreds of dollars on a scam with a cool kickstarter video.

Do not believe what they falsely advertise and save your money for another electronic set or a competitive product.
