Honesty and Integrity and no hidden charges
Having approached 2 local Law firms who were totally unprofessional and very rude and patronising, it was refreshing to deal with this company.
Staff especially Ms Amanda was exceptional and they always respond virtually immediately to queries with courtesy and simplicity which is wonderful.
Due to their professional, I am doing both my wills and POA with them including for my dad. They are totally honest and operate with integrity which is sadly missing with professionals now-days, Thank you!

Efficient Service
We have recently used the services of Free Wills to complete Wills and Powers of Attorney for myself and my husband.

As an 82 year old who’s not tech savvy
As an 82 year old who’s not tech savvy, this company were absolutely brilliant. They helped me throughout the whole process and guided me through making my Will with such kindness and patience. My Will was just what I needed all for no cost whatsoever. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Great customer service. No catches. Totally free.

Bad Customer Service
Got my will wrong. Claimed that they couldn't have made the mistake as their systems don't allow this but I sent proof that the draft was different to the final.
I admit to being blunt in the email as was quite shocked that they claimed that the mistake was mine, offered no apologies and refused to refund. I also found their emails to be very blunt from the beginning.
Though the issue was resolved eventually, I found the customer service to be very unprofessional. They claimed that they did not take anything personally but the fact that they admitted to 'speaking to me the way I spoke to them' and trying to guilt trip me by telling me their age and things, I would consider this very unprofessional.
Never actually received an apology even after I myself apologised for getting upset and they still refused to acknowledge their errors.
Would not recommend.

Under Article 17 of UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you did not have my permission to share sensitive information from private email correspondence in a public forum (e.g my name, my health conditions /possible disabilities).
I did not share any direct correspondence in my review nor did I name any particular individual.

Nicole, You emailed us demanding a refund stating that we had deliberately edited your will. If that is the case, please tell us how on earth we knew the names of your family, their relationships to you and their addresses. I mean, I am good at my job but I do not have magical powers to know who all of your family members are!
As stated to you in email, if you email us in the manner you did, expect to be emailed back in the same manner. I do not appreciate the rudeness and no matter what the issue, you do not speak to people like that.
Furthermore, your refund demand........ You stated you wanted your money back because you had paid for an express check, which we completed a few minutes after you paid for it. It took you 26 hours to come back to us demanding your money back because we had not been fast enough and that you were going on holiday that day [it was 22.36hrs] and that you then needed to find a different provider to draft your will, that day.............at 22.26hrs. When we pointed out you had received the authorised will, you then demanded that it was not your fault your will went in to your spam and not your fault that you had not checked your spam. What would you like us to do about that, pop on over to your house and tell you gently to check your spam?
Furthermore, you were informed that we actually cannot change what a client puts in their will, because, as you have clearly demonstrated, people lie. It is why as a legal company we cover our backs because when you lie, we can prove you have done so. And we did because as soon as we told you that we cannot change your will, you back tracked and thanked us for re checking your will after the errors YOU had made. The sad fact of life these days is people like you cannot admit to being wrong.
As for my age, I am not sure where in our emails it tried to guilt trip you, but what was stated, was that I will not have emails that were sent in the manner you sent them and at my age, I simply will not tolerate that level of rudeness and entitlement.
You then demanded a refund for your partner, again stating that they had not received their checked will, when in fact they had as they had replied to an email sent to them to correct and error in their will. Again, we cannot change your will for you, and that is clearly proved by the email sent to your partner who had responded confirming they had made the amendment. Interesting that you never address that anomaly, Nicole.
Now let us look at the email you sent after all of your rudeness, Nicole.
"I apologise if my words have upset you. I naturally write in a very formal manner. Additionally, I am awaiting an ASD diagnosis and therefore am aware that I have difficulties with communication, especially written communication. I cannot help this as this is considered a disability and I would appreciate adjustments being made for this."
Again, after a tirade of about 15 emails, you came out with that comment. Now let us be clear, you never upset me, you were simply rude, demanding, and you lied.
You have a good day now, Nicole.

Nicole, nobody knows who you are, if you are going to lie, I will defend my company. I suggest you learn a little bit about the law. Have a good day, Nicole.

Easy to use free Will…
Easy to use free Will as long as your Estate is straight forward, leaving everything to partner. Why pay to involve a solicitor. Just tell your family where the Will is located.

The whole process was straightforward, and I was able to complete my will without any fuss. What really impressed me was their quick response time. Any questions I had were answered promptly, which gave me real peace of mind.

Quick, easy and simple
Being severely let down by a high Street solicitor, FreeWills was recommended
to us and I am so grateful we contacted them. Having to make 2 wills was tough enough but Amanda was helpful, courteous, informative (about another matter also) and expedited the wills very quickly and after paying, the bound copies arrived a few days later. I don't understand the negative comments as we had a 100% successful interaction with them and would definitely recommend them, especially Amanda.

Sadly, most of the negative reviews are from people who have not checked their drafts, then paid for their will to be posted, then demand we send another free of charge when they realise what they have done and try to blame us for it. We obviously refuse as it is not our fault. 99% of the time, the client has never checked their will draft and the onus is on them to do so. Classic examples are 'That is not my name'....... We are not sure how we are supposed to know what their name is, but they still blame us.
The other negative reviews are from people drafting a will that is not theirs, leaving the estate to themselves, nobody else, paying £25 to expedite the service and we refuse it on grounds of potential fraud and then they demand their money back for the express will fee, however, as we clearly state, we have performed that service. These wills tend to be fraudulent wills, or written under duress or coercion, which of course we will not allow through.
The rest are people who think that because they are not in front of you, they can be rude, swear, and treat you appallingly. We will not tolerate that behaviour and remove them from our accounts, block them and send them on their way. What actually hurts is that we do this for free and we face abuse daily on email by people who are entitled and demand far more from you.
A sad fact of life is that people do lie, then come to a review platform like Trustpilot and give negative reviews. Who would want to be that person?
We are not perfect and on the rare occasion we do get it wrong, we put our hands up and apologise, correct what we did wrong, give a refund, or send a bound will free of charge by way of apology.
Fortunately, the 4800 five star reviews make up for it and actually prove that we really do get it right. 146,349 clients and counting. We are really proud of that.
