Extremely disappointed with the…

Extremely disappointed with the durability of my Fusalp ski jacket and the lack of proper customer service. After just one day of light wear, the jacket developed a tear, which should not happen with a high-end ski jacket designed for performance. Instead of offering an immediate exchange, Fusalp is forcing me to send it away for an assessment, leaving me without a jacket for my upcoming ski trip—despite the fact that it’s clearly a manufacturing defect.

For a brand that markets itself as premium, I expected far better quality and service. A €1000+ ski jacket should last more than a single day. If you're considering buying from Fusalp, be aware that their customer service does not stand behind their products.

Update: A free return for assessment, which takes days or even weeks for a response or repair, is really sub-par. This jacket was purchased for a ski holiday in just one week's time, and now I am forced to buy a replacement at additional cost. For a premium brand, I expected a more customer-friendly solution—especially given that this is a ski jacket that should be durable enough to withstand normal use.

Beware of Custom Duty Fees

Custom Duty Fees should be added at the time of purchase if it applies. It shouldn’t have to be paid by the customer if it is less than $800. It doesn’t make sense when I’m buying a pair of gloves for $140 and need to pay additional $80 in custom tax, but if I buy a jacket for $800, that is all I’m paying for. If that is how it is, I should just buy from somewhere else instead of from your site directly. It doesn’t list or say anywhere on the site about this rule either. I only know because I had to email customer service and received a slow response a couple days later.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback.

Duties (as of currently) are applicable to orders coming into the United States for over 800$. If an order is above this amount, Fusalp is able to calculate and prepay all duties, so you will not have anything to pay upon delivery.
However, the reason why you were asked to pay duties in this case, is because you made two separate orders in less than 6 hours, which totaled over 800$.
Individually, they were less than 800$, so Fusalp did not prepay any duties. Since the orders were made very closely together, the US Customs considered your two orders to be one order, and therefore are asking you to pay duties.
