Awful company

Awful company. Won’t accept my details when trying to appeal against a fine, but put the same details in to pay and you’re straight through. A fine for going to PureGym, which is the car park provided. Should not be allowed in 2024. Disgraceful.

Beware of parking at Robin Park Wigan

My Daughter Parked at Robin Park Retail Park in Wigan to do Christmas shopping.
She didn't know they had reduced the original 4 hours limit to 3 hours (180 minutes) since she was there last.
She overstayed by 28 minutes.
Recieved the notice of a £100 fine reduced to £60 if paid within 28 days. There is a good selection of stores and the nature of Christmas shopping means that you spend a while looking around. There are several good food and drink outlets there where you can get a drink or a bite to eat after shopping, adding more time to your visit. So reducing the time allowed from 4 hours to 3 hours is clearly a trap to catch the unwary shopper. A fine of £100 reduced to £60 is daylight robbery. Who comes up with a figure like that. Reduce it to £20, you'll still make a killing, especially around Christmas.

Don’t pay your fine - send this letter

I was 15mins over my stay in a b&m’s store and received two letters asking me to pay £90! I did not think this was justified so have appealed the ticket.
If you ignore it they can take you to a debt collectors & court so always better to respond.
Here is a copy of my letter (taken from
Money saving expert back in 2013) which still works to this day.

Again to continue my experience with…

Again to continue my experience with G24 - since BW legal which are their debt recovery legals, got in touch asking the payment of £160, I uploaded on their portal the photographs of the machine not working and my receipt from Sports Direct, which would have granted the free entitled parking time. Today BW replied asking more evidence and again suggesting to make the payment ; I phoned as it all doesn’t make sense and I basically got told that doesn’t matter the evidence, they do their client’s interest and will take me to court. They tried to threat and scare people, making you realize it’s easier to just pay, although unfair.
Not my dears, see you in court you scumbags fraudolent companies… along the other hundreds of people did not accept your extortion. I’m curious to see what a sheriff will do once seeing the fraud you place on people.

I would give 0 starts if I could

I would give 0 starts if I could. I got a fine from G24 being parked in my designed parking space (for that I pay monthly) and having the permit parking displayed in the windscreen. Ii was extremely difficult and time consuming to get support over the phone. The worst service I ever got, but I can understand why considering the reviews they have.

Absolute sham of a company

Absolute sham of a company, the letter says they offered me the £60 for paying within 14 days for parking over the 60 minutes! Which is fair enough but I was never offered such thing! Obviously no one can get in contact with them to complain and contest, so I have to pay £100 for going over by 15 minutes… No wonder people buy online! Complete and utter scum of the earth.

Paid ticket provided proof still being chased by debt collectors

I paid my £4 car parking fee in Ayr Beresford Terrace by Matalan and Sports Direct by contact less payment. Printer not working. Got letter weeks later saying I hadn't paid. Put reference number into G24s portal surprise surprise it didn't recognise ref number so assumed a scam. Then get debt collectors letter from Trace. Provided them with proof of payment and still not accepted as sufficient evidence. Virgin money very helpful and provided more evidence to the debt collectors to forward to G24 finance team. They won't correspond. Virgin dispute and plastic scam team now on the case. Shocking. Don't park in this car park! Sports Direct apparently on case re hundreds of issues. Local social media jammed with comments. Saw video other day guy made mentioning issues. If I don't get resolution I'm going to TV investigation and local press.

Not always a bad service

From the security team on the car park to the two assistants at G24 and Clear Park the service was extremely efficient and professional. Understood the circumstances involving my daughter and her work commitment and the machine not operating as expected.

Poor service, poor communication

Absolutely atrocious service. We parked at SPORT DIRECT BIRSTALL. Went into sports direct and purchased a few things, then walked over to the food places for something to eat as our 1 yr old was hungry and crying. We never denied we were over on parking had we been sent the £60 fine originally it would have been paid. Instead we only ever received the final notice for £100. When we tried too appeal the fine stating that we never got a letter for £60 the company totally dismissed us, dismissed the fact we have a 1 yr old whom we have to cloth/feed and demanded the £100 regardless. Absolutely NO further communication attempts, no letters NOTHING. And we receive a text from a debt collection agency demanding £160? £160 for 17 minutes over!! Had we gotten the original letter we would have paid the £60. I have appealed also and received absolutely no communication.
Given all the reviews on here it would seem the company is nothing more than greedy and has zero interest in listening to the people they are fining. See you in court you robbing scum.

Pure Greed

My daughter was recently issued with a contractual parking charge notice by G24 for exceeding the three hour limit in a local retail park. After shopping in the park she met up with a friend for a coffee in one of the outlets in the park. However, my daughter's friend was late and this resulted in her going over the three hour limit. She submitted an appeal to G24 and this was rejected. The rejection letter was pure verbal diarrhoea and designed to intimidate. The letter stated that the parking charge included an estimated amount for losses to retailers in the park as a result of my daughter denying someone else a parking space. This is pure fiction. The car park was half empty for the duration of my daughter's stay. I spoke to a firm of solicitors we have used in the past for a house move, wills, power of attorney etc. My details were passed on to one of their solicitors who is an expert in this field and he was happy to have a chat with me without charge. He told me that G24 have no relationship with retailers in these parks. They lease the car park from the landowner and operate the car park as a business, i.e. they are there simply to make money and are not doing the retailers any favours. He told me that two or three years ago his advice would have been to ignore the CPCN, but not nowadays. Basically, when you enter one of these car parks you automatically engage in a contract with G24 and if you go over the limit, you pay, no excuses. These companies are not doing the retailers any favours, in fact they are doing exactly the opposite. None of my family will ever again use the retail park where my daughter got caught. The moral of this story is, do not ever use a car park operated by G24 and their likes. For a variety of reasons many towns and cities seem to be driving shoppers away due to ever increasing restrictions on motorists. Nowadays, I never go near a shop unless I really have to, I do most of my shopping on line.

Trivial offence...no prisoners taken!

Car Park was full and I parked over barely visible yellow line which frankly didn't need to be there as I was well out of the way of everyone and everything! 5 minutes visit to M&S and I was gone. Appealed the size of the fine but received a standard response reiterating the fact that there are signs to warn. Simple statement to say my appeal was rejected - no reasons given. I paid if only because I don't want hundreds of emails/ letters and threats of court action, even if the likelihood is they won't go to court. I know someone who was fined for having their wheel on a white dividing line (because the car next to her was too far over). Why don't these reviews allow for zero stars?!

Robin Park, Wigan

RE: ROBIN PARK, Wigan.
So there are approx. 11 shops to visit (not including eateries) and you get 3 hours parking, this makes and average visit of less than 18 minutes per store, so when you factor in having a brew and something to eat, plus maybe trying on clothes, arranging a holiday, and now a BIG B&M store...expect to get fleeced by the parking enforcement. Yes, we have just received a parking charge notice of £100 for parking for 207 minutes (it's 180 maximum and that includes entering and leaving the car park...not ACTUALLY being parked up). We visited with our 3 year old grandson walking the shops and his 11 month old brother in a pram. Of course we were there for more than 3 hours! This is a ridiculous time limitation.

You disgust me! I hope whatever you spend MY money on makes you violently sick!

...and what is the point in having a "customer services" email address that only accepts messages from "inside the group"...

Sent a "contractual parking charge"…

Sent a "contractual parking charge" through the post for Princes Alice Retail park Sutton Coldfield. What a scum bag company. No signs of contractual information on entrance, no signs when you enter the bay area. They deliberately hide and do not display information in order to threaten people. No information was visible, so no contract could have been knowingly entered into when entering the car park.
We've had to go and take video and picture evidence and contacted the local MP who's written to them on our behalf. We appealed the charge and it was rejected, they wrote in their rejection letter a series of incorrect statements using pseudo legal language with veiled threats. They claimed we stated something in our appeal that's absolutely not in the letter, so it can be proven in court that it's false.
The letter was clearly written by some absolutely incompetent jobs worth.
They can see us in court, it's an absolute disgrace.
I cannot understand why reputable businesses don't refuse to be associated with them. They have lost customers here,we will never go back to that retail park out of principle.
Might be time for everyone to write to their MP and demand change in the law.
They are rogue traders who threaten and intimidate elderly and disabled people, they use deliberate tactics to prevent people knowing they will be subject to a charge, then send pseudo legal letters with demonstrably false statements to bully and coerce people to pay.
See you in court, Satan!
