(Tunbridge Wells) Food and drink were fine (as usual at a Gail’s) but although the café was quiet the unoccupied tables (and in one case the benches) were covered in crumbs/sticky mess/spilt liqui... See more

Thank you Gail’s in Radlett to all the staff who worked hard over Boxing Day to service the busy environment. Always a pleasure getting my coffee every morning.

Popped in for hot chocolate and muffin the drink came in a cup with not handle which is strange and was bland and tasteless I sent it back as it was horrible the muffin was the best I’ve ever tasted so I would visit again only for a takeaway muffin. I found the staff unfriendly and unwelcoming I visited the Watford branch

I regularly bought the mixed olive sourdough stick, a bit pricey but was worth it, and very moreish. I bought one a couple of days ago & sadly the bread was not so tasty and had a horrible soggy texture. The recipe must have changed. I would not buy it again.

The overpriced sourdough loaf I purchased at the Whiteladies Rd, Bristol shop was one and a half times the price and half the size of the excellent sourdough loaves made on the premises of the 3 local bakeries near my home in Bristol. I thought that, as I was shopping near Gail's, that I'd buy my bread there. The bread was so heavy and stale that we couldn't eat it. Additionally, I didn't realise that Gail's was card only. I'd recommend that Gail's managers take into account the importance of companies/services not being cashless, for vulnerable people, particularly women experiencing or who are survivors of domestic abuse. There's a lot of information on the internet to help Gail's managers consider this, to enable them to ensure their business model has a high level of social responsibility (that is, if that is important to them).
Needless to say I won't be buying from Gail's again, unless I hear that the bread has significantly improved, is not over priced and that they take cash.

Piutney store is cold, uncomfortable and cramped. Stale bread, broken coffee machine and poor quality pastries. All served at exorbitant prices.

Never been to a Gail's bakery before. Walked into the StPancras store today at 5pm saw all the food laid out uncovered with customers and staff leaning all over it and turned straight back out. I don't care how nice it looks, it's totally unhygenic. There is no need for it.

We love GAIL’s in Fortis Green. It smells of fresh baked cakes and pastries. There is always a queue but somehow we are served very quickly. Mark always seems enthusiastic to slice the bread for us even when he is busy.

I do like Gail’s and really enjoyed their coffee but when one came to my local town and I was refused service because I only had cash I can honestly say I’ve never been to one again. Previously I only went to the one near my sons in London and he usually paid so never realised it was a cash free business.

I have been twice in the new Gail’s in Crystal Palace. I was impressed by the service I received particularly by 2 employees and the quality of the snacks.
I asked these employees their names as they deserve credit for their good attitude and friendly service . One was Mathew on Counter service and the other was Nathan who was cleaning the tables . I don’t understand why some people were so critical , I would say the Gail’s outlet is an asset to the Triangle especially as the hours 7am to 7pm are different from other businesses selling coffee and snacks . That area of the triangle was dead with only derelict outlets

The pastrami sandwich was the worst i have ever had. The meat has great lumps of inedible fat, while the dressing tasted chemical. I was so horrrified I asked for the ingredient list. And no wonder! Hand made possibly but full of chemicals and flavourings. Will never eat there again. Nor believe their ‘upmarket’ messaging. Junk food.

The staff, especially Angel, are always very friendly and attentive. I believe the seeded sourdough loaf to be the best around. While it is more expensive than other bakeries, the quality is there to taste which I don’t mind paying for.

Gail’s’ Wimbledon Village!
A new wave of excellent staff with brilliant customer service have changed the face of this Gail’s branch. Hannah is exceptional and great addition to the Gail’s family. The main barista knows how to make a perfectly “hot” drink which is not luke warm as is often served in other branches. She also takes great pride in making a hot drink for all customers. A huge appreciation for Hannah and the team who have given this Gail’s a much needed warm and cozy atmosphere!

Fantastic friendly service by all of the team, every single time.
I go into Gails St Albans almost every morning for coffee. The team are always welcoming and friendly. They know my order and it's made to perfection every time. Thank you!

Overpriced tasteless food and drinks. I felt like I’ve been scammed.
Amaizing customer service at Gail’s Coffee in Gatwick Airport! Meredith and Max were incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming, even during a busy airport rush. Huge thanks for such an excellent customer service!

I visited the Wardour Street branch and was shocked by how poor the experience was. My friend and I waited more than ten minutes for someone to clean our table. She had already ordered and finished her coffee, yet none of the three staff members made any effort to clear the previous customers’ dishes.
When I went to the counter to order, the three staff members continued chatting among themselves until one of them abruptly asked what I wanted. The barista was quite rude, and after shouting that my coffee was ready, they placed it on the counter in a very dismissive way.
Considering how many competitors now offer much better service, I believe Gail’s should make a stronger effort to improve the customer experience.

I am giving 1 star because a lady appears to be a manager who was serving, was not aware about some information and I observed the behaiviour is offensive and rude towards the staff, I observed this many times when I visit the St.Pancras.

I went into Gail’s recently and never got the chance to sample their service or their food.. I quickly discovered that they refuse to take cash. Never going there again.
