Poor service!! Misleading people about produce and service!
Called Sales, Service and Mack himself! Mack was the rudest person I have ever dealt with and even threatened me!!!
Do not believe his lies! He is a crook and evil in his behavior toward customers if you have any trouble he will not help you no matter what!!

Beware. Scam Artists.

This is a review for galleryfurniture.com.au, who have made it very difficult to leave any sort of feedback for them online (apologies to the store of the same name in Texas).

Gallery Furniture is a scam operation. I feel like an absolute moron for ordering with them as, in hindsight, there's no evidence of a real store on the website and no way to leave a review despite the glowing reviews on the front page.

They will take your order and your money, and then string you along for months (going on 9 now) with order delays, moving stores, floods, warehouse mixups and any other creative delay tactic available... if they speak to you at all. Forget about trying to get a response via email or the contact form on their website.

I've reported them to NSW FTC who were able to get a promise of a refund out of them, but now of course I've gotten no response from them re: the refund (or the money) and I doubt I ever will.

Don't give them your money.

Scammers

Be careful, only good reviews are overseas companies.
These very bad reviews are for the Australian Gallery Furniture. I can't believe the accc don't have the Directors in jail.

The worst experience - 7 months and counting with no update

The worst experience. I purchased a couch in November last year they told me February, then March then no communication its now June. Will not return calls, will not return emails. Disgraceful customer service. Really not sure that this couch is ever going to turn up!

It is now the 19th of June. Still no one has contacted me??

Terrible - Avoid

This a review for Gallery Furniture in Sydney Australia.
Ordered after speaking to ‘Nick’ to check ETA. Very easy to speak to them at this stage …… I have not received my order nearly 5 months later after advising maximum of 8 weeks. Can’t get hold on them in the phone, email or via website. I have reported GF to ACCC and Fair Trading and am looking for a refund. I noticed something on one of their social sites which leads me to think they are scammers.

I purchased a couple of occassional…

I purchased a couple of occassional chairs which have still not arrived and it has been 8 months
I have emailed and received no responses
My phone calls have mostly been unanswered but the couple of times i have managed to get somone on the phone they have been very rude and dismissive.
I think they are scammers taking people's money and then never delivering the goods
Their first excuse was Covid, followed by Christmas shut down, then resurgence of covid then Chinese new year and now they have no idea as to when the goods will be delivered as they are at the mercy of the manufacturer. wouldnt gallery furniture have had to be in touch with their supplier in the first instance to place order and receive and ETA on manufacture and shipment date?
leaves a lot to be desired for

Gallery Furniture - Scammers

I purchased through Gallery Furniture Online & the goods were never received.
After emails, phone messages & "Contact Section" of their website I have had nil response.
Looking at other reviews, this is common practice so
avoid Gallery Furniture like the Plague.

My wife and I purchased a Tempur-Pedic…

My wife and I purchased a Tempur-Pedic bed from Gallery furniture. We were told by the salesman that we were approved for financing. Our terms were explained to us by the salesman that we had Qualified for a special financing of 15 months no payment no interest if we would buy today it was an inducer that we accepted. I signed papers for delivery. Nowhere in any other paperwork that we received was there anything that stated a minimum payment was to be made. We only received delivery instructions. The mattress was delivered. A few months later, I received a cancellation notice from the bank, GF, Wells Fargo. The cancellation notice stated that the account was written off for nonpayment. ???? I was confused as we had made a few payments Towards the account understanding that we had 15 months to pay it off and avoid interest. upon contacting Gallery furniture I was told that we did not make a REQUIRED minimum of 330 or $40 monthly payments on the account. I was shocked as I was not told I was to make any Minimum monthly payments. Neither my wife or I received any kind of invoice showing a minimum payment of anything. Had I known that we were going to be making a large monthly payment I would have not purchased the bed. My intent was to pay the account off in full before 15 months using whatever means an amount that I chose. The account manager at Gallery furniture, JOE, was very rude. I even asked JOE to reinstate the account so it’s not to affect my credit and they declined. I have gone round and round with Gallery furniture about this. I also contacted Wells Fargo bank, who asked for paperwork from Gallery furniture showing my account. When Wells Fargo showed me the paperwork, it was obvious someone had copied my signature, and a letter with the incorrect date was sent as a response to the bank backdating. Wells Fargo representative recognized that there was a problem. I sent the bed back to Gallery furniture. In my opinion, Mattress Mack is rude and does not give a flying F about his customers. In my opinion He only cares about money in his pocket. He offered his phone number online for me to call directly and I did Speak with him explaining our situation for a whopping 15 seconds. Since then, he has not returned any of my calls Nor have I received a response from Gallery furniture. I would not buy a broom from Gallery furniture. It is my belief Through my experience that They lie to their customers about all kinds of answers in order to get your sale. I used to have respect for mattress, Mack but not anymore. I have observed him on multiple occasions, gambling millions of dollars online and on What are believed to be rigged TV Gambling incentives with your money. It is my opinion that he lacks morals, nor do I believe that he give a flying T about whether you’re happy or not as long as he can control the end result in his pocket I am pursuing as much publicity as my $5000 allows two cents opinions. This is only the beginning. I am not happy and do not recommend Gallery furniture for nothing. I believe it’s nothing but a Bunch of over priced garbage. All of my opinions and facts have been presented to JOE the finance manager, and I have expressed in summary, two mattress, Mack himself. In my opinion, They don’t care.

7 months later and still no delivery

I ordered a figurine from Gallery Furniture in August 2022. 7 months later and I am still waiting. I have asked for a refund but there is a penalty attached to cancelling the order. I have never received updates so I need to be the one to call them. I am always given a different estimated delivery date which keeps getting pushed back. This is frustrating and disappointing.

After 3yrs of watching the furniture Gallery IG from Nairobi,Kenya I finally did my furniture shopping last weekend at furniture Gallery Osborne Park branch the customer care was amazing and furniture looks so beautiful. The delivery guys did amazing job assembling everything on time. so far one of the best customer service I got since I came Australia. Thank you so much guys. God Bless you.

No returns no refunds on damaged goods

Purchase Over$4000 of furniture. Delivered a broken coffee table would not take back per salesman. He is suppose to schedule service to repair. Also sales dept submitted a review in my name This is my first review for them. Financing is a rip. I will never buy there again. The reason I bought there is because owner does so much for the community. Never again. At least their competitions takes returns plus refund your money imerchandise. Total scam.

Terrible experience! Do not order from this store!

My mother bought a chair being told she could get the matching ottoman. It would take 6-8 weeks and she had to pay for it in full. She waited 8 weeks. She contacted them and was told the fabric was discontinued and she would be refunded. She is stuck with a paisley chair that will be impossible to match. They have still not refunded her money and the staff need to learn some manners and customer service.

Given false information

I have ordered a clock & fragrance online, which cost me $469. By the time I made the order there wasn’t anything mentioned about any delays due to pre order or restocking. Even after I placed the order I haven’t heard from them, nothing at all. So, after 5 days I sent an email inquiring why I haven’t receive any shipping information. Then they said one of the items are on back order (clock) and will receive early April, other one will be restock on that week and will be sending as soon as they get it.
I have waited 2 more weeks to get any update and requested for a cancellation. Then they said my order is partially shipped and I get it in next 5-7 days and the back ordered item is delaying in 4-5 more weeks.
I insisted on canceling the order of the clock since the other item already shipped. Then they said they will let me know once refund processed.
I had to write them asking how long it takes to process the refund. Then they processed the refund. Also, I have asked for tracking details of the item they already shipped.
Shocking thing is they haven’t even shipped that item even though they said they did. They shipped it after 5 days on the same day I have requested tracking details.
That was very disappointing.

Cheap Chiness product disguised as…

Cheap Chiness product disguised as Italy furniture.
Still pissed every time I see my dinning table and the nerve of them asking me to pay $699 to fix. Bought a dining table that extends used one and all the glass shattered on one side. Also got a center table pieces keep falling off.

I went to gallery furniture and bought a couch and got love seat free I asked salesman if the furniture was leather four time s he told me yes the furniture was on clearance .It was delivered same day I looked at label today and said it was man made materials
And made in China

I’m beyond unhappy with my experience…

I’m beyond unhappy with my experience today. Over the past four years, I have purchased three sofas from Gallery furniture. The disadvantage of switching apartments and needing a smaller sofa or a chaise on a different side. I love that they have same day delivery.

Two weeks ago, I purchased a couch that I am just not happy with. I feel the quality could be better. I decided to utilize the 15 day reselection period that Gallery Furniture clearly advertises having. After going in, it is quite obvious that they advertise it...then treat you like a leper if you try to use it.

I was treated like I was doing something wrong and like they were doing me some huge favor, despite the fact that I was purchasing a more expensive sofa. I knew there was a 10% restocking fee and I was fine with that. But I didn’t expect to feel like a lesser customer because I was making an exchange. To hit this point home, I was told by my salesperson that Matress Mack wasn’t mad at me, he was just “intense” and like that with everyone. Well, you having to tell me that he wasn’t mad at me clearly indicates how you think it came across. And did he ask why I wanted to exchange or why I was unhappy with the original purchase? No. Did he care that I was willing to spend more money on the new couch? No. I guess the money they had already gotten out of me was enough. Who cares if I was happy or willing to spend more to be truly satisfied?

My original sofa was $1,100. I received $100 off, so paid about $1,100 total (once the taxes were added). The sofa I was exchanging for was $1,499. I was told that I could not use the $100 coupon that had been emailed to me for the exchange. Okay. With taxes, the new sofa would be about $1,623 (plus the 10% restocking fee of $100)...so $1,723 total. As far as I know, $1,723 minus the $1,100 I already paid would be $623. I was told I needed to pay $723 for the difference because they couldn’t give my original taxes back. What? In addition, I was being given a floor model because the sofas were out of stock. I was fine with that, but you couldn’t give me $100 off on a sofa that other people have been sitting on and touching?

I could have possibly overlooked this if I had been treated with any sense of courtesy instead of being treated like a nuisance. If you don’t want people to utilize a 15 day reselection period, then don’t offer it. Ashley furniture has a 30 day return policy (and you can actually return it...not just exchange). And I was giving you almost twice the amount I originally paid, so didn’t I deserve the respect of a paying customer? Was that additional money not worth a little extra of your time? And if not my money, my satisfaction of having a couch I like as your customer?

I ended up leaving in tears and stuck with my original couch (which I hate and think is of horrible quality). So disappointed. I will not purchase from Gallery Furniture again.
