Good pr0mos and deals!

Been there and bought there several times, they have some stunning promos every few days or weeks and they always deliver - never have a single issue. Overall experience is good and they're my third fav source for DRM Free games right now, after Steam platform and GoG.

Poor experience all around.

Disappointed. Tried to purchase a game while on sale. Couldn't check out with Paypal. Discover card declined, accused of fraudulent activity when tried with Visa.

Was able to finally complete transaction the next day, however their system wouldn't let me use my 10% off coupon. They were claiming it had already been used, despite refusing every method of payment I had attempted the previous day.

After checking out, you still have to wait and don't own your games yet because they claim they have to check and approve your purchase. That happened quickly enough. But now 24 hours later, I was notified my purchase needed to be reviewed to avoid fraud. They sent me 3 duplicate emails within 15 minutes.

This website seems to barely function, and I do not feel good about having given them my credit card info after seeing how poorly everything else works. Not going to be using these guys ever again.

Edit: Games Republic reached out to me, which carries a lot of weight in my opinion. I had not made any requests or demands in my review. They chose to contact me in an attempt to apologize and make up for my experience.

They replied to this review, as well as emailed me. In addition to apologizing and stating they are working to fix the issues I dealt with on their site, they gave me codes for a handful of games by the developer I was initially trying to purchase from as well as a 10% discount code.

Because of their response and how they chose to handle things, I am now willing to give them another shot and purchase through them again in the near future.

Found something I wanted at a fantastic price, got it right away!

So I like to check various deal sites like cheapshark and isthereanydeals, and they showed Games Republic having the best price by a long shot. However, I had never bought from them, so I did some checking and was satisfied to make a purchase from them. I had my Steam key and a free game all with a discount (10%) within 5 minutes. Thanks Games Republic

Site not working properly on Chrome.

I could not proceed with my payment either on Chrome or IE. After opening the paypal window everything got closed down multiple times. I had already turned off adblocks but it changed nothing. After 7th-8th attempt I was finally able to proceed to the approval of my purchase on IE. To be forced by the store to use my passwords in IE is unforgivable.

Hi Pawel,

Thanks for your feedback. The problem you encountered could've been caused by the payment pop-up, which Chrome often blocks - you have to right click on the pop-up icon in the address url and allow the pop-up to be displayed. We're currently working on to solve this issue.
Nevertheless sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your purchase.

Requires too much information

After paying for your product, you have to provide them with your paypal email so that they may "verify" your purchase.

Hi Anders,

Thank you for your feedback. Veryfing your PayPal account was only necessary if your e-mail address with which you registered in Games Republic was different than the e-mail address you use with your PayPal account. We didn't ask you to provide such information, but we did send a message to your PayPal e-mail asking if you made the purchase. It was just a verification of your purchase.

But this verification system is no longer in place, so it's even simpler to buy games at Games Republic.

Cheers,
Games Republic Team
