We aim to provide all your automotive maintenance and MOT test needs. We carry out servicing to all makes and models including motorhomes and light commercial vehicles. We carry out 6 and 10 week safety checks on minibuses. We can check Air Conditioning systems for leaks and re-gas both the new and old gas. We can replace batteries, exhausts, suspension parts and even complete engines. We can work on manual gearboxes and replace clutches. Mot tests in Bordon and surrounding areas.

Always 5 star service.

I have been going to Liphook Auto Services for many years now and I always get amazing, prompt and friendly service.
Everything is dealt with efficiently and honestly.
If you have an emergency situation or just a regular MOT or service, James and his wonderful team are always there to do their upmost in getting you back on the road.
I would highly recommend them for all your motoring needs.

Massively overcharged for replacement of sump pan

Liphook Auto services charged me £595 to remove and change an oil sump and replace oil. They said it took 4 hours as it’s a Fiat 500 and they had to remove pipes. Car was bought new in 2018 and so it’s doubtful that it was very rusty and done under 69000 miles. No complications or breakage of any parts mentioned or detailed on invoice. Charged £112 just for oil sump kit. Complete rip off and daylight robbery! My car had a major service in December and no problems found. Will never use them again. What an absolute joke. I’m so annoyed!!!! I don’t think they are even worthy of one star!

Extortionate prices

Labour charged just short of £300 to replace track rods on both front wheels, supposedly two and a half hours work?? A further £117 to allign the wheels, another hour's work?? Cost of parts was about £130. Total, just short of £550. Extortionate. Will not be using this garage again. Very disappointed.

Profesional service

Had my car in for a tyre change and they quickly identified that my tracking was out and my tyres where wearing out prematurely. They solved the issue while I was waiting and I was back on the road in no time. Very pleased

Finding a local garage that has…quality people doing a quality job for an affordable price!

Finding a local garage that has experience and does quality work without ripping you off can be hard. But that’s what you get at LAS. James looked after the work to my cars brakes, provided a nice courtesy car and I was back to collect it before the end of the day. Great in quality of work and price but best of all is how you are looked after by James and his team.

Absolutely fantastic service

Absolutely fantastic service. I have nothing but positive feedback. It took me a long time to find a garage I actually trusted! They are always quick, professional and have NEVER over charged or overinflated prices (which I experienced so much before). I’ve been able to get a courtesy car when I’ve needed one. I’ve moved now, but still drove 20 minutes to have my MOT done rather than try somewhere new and more local. Thank you for always having such reliable and trustworthy service 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Bad customer service and untrustworthy

I took my car to have the DFP cleaned. Having previously spoken to a local Volvo dealer I was advised that due to the type of particles in the DFP it should be removed, cleaned and replaced and NOT placed on a DFP cleaning machine as it might damage the engine.
I was advised by the garage that this would be done. Turns out to cut corners they put the car on a DFP cleaning machine and as Volvo advised it blow the engine.
After many months the engine was replaced - April 2023.

Took the car for an MOT a year later (April 2024). I was advised that work was needed so asked for an approximate price. I was advised that someone would call me back later that day - this went on for nearly a week. Since no one called me back I took the car to another garage and received a quote for work within 24 hours.

Soon after the MOT the replaced engine failed. It only lasted nearly 18 months before the camshaft broke - obviously not a great replacement. I work from home so rarely drive, so it was disappointing that the engine didn't last long.

I called LAS for some information, as I was looking for places to source a new engine. That was a week ago and yet again I am being ignored. I am told that someone will call back but it never seems to happen.

Give all of these experiences (and I have given the garage the benefit of the doubt on many occasions) I couldn't recommend using LAS.

I highly recommend LAS to anyone…

I highly recommend LAS to anyone looking for professional service in timing belt replacement. After visiting this shop, I can confidently say that the service was incredibly competent, courteous, and professional.

Pros:

Professional service: The mechanics at this shop demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in timing belt replacement.
Fast execution: The timing belt replacement was carried out efficiently and according to the agreed-upon schedule.
Transparency: Costs were clearly presented before work began, building trust in the shop.

Cons:

None: I did not notice any negative aspects during my visit.

Lovely experience!

I have had the most horrendous MOT experience previously (Mytchett Garage). LAS was the perfect way to restore my trust. Such friendly staff, Aaron such a nice man, the mechanic too was so friendly. This Garage will, from now on, receive all my car issues. Thank you so much for your wonderful customer service and care. I highly recommend this garage.

Took my car in with very little notice

Took my car in with very little notice. All sorted by the end of day. Curtesy car overnight. Gave a discount to make it affordable to me. Also thanks for sorting stereo and did manage to get a free code on line. Brakes now safe and have sounds too. Very pleased customer.

My car went for a service today .. not only do they do a great job, everyone that works there is so nice .. a very woman friendly garage … like alot of woman I’ve always dreaded having to deal with garages .. but not this garage !! The 2 ladies on reception are lovely !

Untrustworthy Thieves

I cannot understand how this company gets the positive reviews. they're lying thieves.
I recently had a couple of tyres delivered to another company on that same estate and when I turned up to have them fitted they hadn't been delivered. The owner of the company correctly surmised that they'd been delivered to LAS.

We walked over and I explained that they'd been incorrectly delivered and described the make / size etc (bear in mind this is over £400 for 2 tyres).
The man was adamant that they'd not received them until I pulled out my phone and showed them the signed delivery note showing their company.

At that point he didn't even look embarassed, just shrugged and replied that he might have them and then walked across to where he had them stashed.

Wouldn't trust this lot as far as I could throw them.

To the Liphook auto reply.
If you had bothered to even ask any of your staff whether they had been accidentally delivered I would have had a very different experience. As it was, you were adamant you hadn’t received them until I showed you the evidence of the signed delivery note.
You didn’t even have the good manners to apologise.

Unfortunately as we have several staff working here, the tyres in question could have been signed for by any number of them. Sometimes the tyre companies just leave the tyres in our tyre bay. I can assure you that we do not need to steal tyres as we are a reputable company. It was myself (The Company Director) who you spoke to about the tyres. I did not look embarrassed as there was nothing to be embarrassed about as nothing untoward was occurring. The fact that you got your tyres with, what I can only describe as minimal fuss, proves that there was nothing untoward going on. I feel annoyed that you are not even a customer of our company and yet without any warning, two months down the line, you decide to leave a review?? I thought that TRUST PILOT was for customers who had used our services to leave their honest reviews? I think it VERY unfair of you to have left this review of an experience that isn't even justified.
