Gareth James and the staff from the Peckham Office, Robyn, Alexandra and Tomos were professional, friendly, efficient and acted as an honest, impartial broker between me, the prospective tenant and the landlord of the property.

Their behaviour and approach respected ARLA guidelines ensuring equal protection for tenants and landlords. I'd like to hold the operating model they follow as an example to the numerous property firms in London who, in my own opinion, without prejudice and my recent personal experiences are not behaving this way.

They appear to be employing practices that unnecessarily inflate rental prices and increase their own turnover. The continual rent inflation is compounding the affordability issues faced by he the nation but is also disadvantaging vulnerable, low-income and folk relying on benefits.

I’ve been a renter for several years in my life, and have recently gone back to renting and chose Gareth James to help me find the perfect place.
I’ve never felt respected when speaking to agents and have often felt as if my requests/questions have been dismissed.
But that wasn’t the case at all with Gareth James. Tom Lloyd really looked after my flatmate and I from start to end. The service I received was professional and timely. Any questions were dealt with quickly and I could always get through to him by phone. When I went to have my passport scanned in their office in Bellenden Road, as we had only communicated via email, he took the time out to introduce himself which I massively respected - as usually, as a renter, you’re treated as a little fish in a big pond.
Absolutely recommend this agency - everyone was really friendly, and I moved in with no hassle at all.
If you’re looking to rent, use Gareth James, honestly. The amount of stress through moving was reduced hugely due to their 5 star service.

Quick and seamless move. Everyone at Gareth James was so helpful in helping us secure the property. Friendly and responsive, which isn't always the case with estate agents.

I dealt with Tomos in lettings and we worked together following his advice to get the property ready for a tenant. He gave good advice on the market conditions as well as practical advice. His tartan found a tenant within 2 days of marketing and achieved over asking.

Despite being out bid on yet another lettings property, the staff at Gareth James were faultless.
