I have no issues with a company being more expensive than others. What I didn't like was someone trying to hide the price in amongst the expected savings we could make! Yes I understand going from a D/E rated boiler to an A rated I'm going to save quite a lot of money. Given the option of paying £55 a Month over 10years= total of £6600! Over 2years it was £222 a month= £5328. At no stage was the actual boiler make/model even discussed! Like other national advertised companies the hive thermostat and chemical flush was mentioned. Told the half price finance option finishes today......
Have looked at iheat and boxt and they have better reviews. Also their websites show ALL of the prices for each specific boiler and the complete installation package price+what that includes. I have seen numerous packages for good quality brand boilers for anywhere between 2-2.5k. Options of finance payments including interest free aswell. The days of reps going to people's houses and not being completely open are gone. I completely accept no one will have a perfect experience with any company but at least be open with customers!we appreciate it 100%.as soon as there's the slightest sign of being ripped off the trust has gone. A 4k markup I'm sorry is being ripped off. Very disappointed.
New Ideal Combi boiler installed April 22. Heating was barely used since installation but this week we have had it on quite a bit and found all downstairs radiators only hot at their tops and sides. The middle of the radiators were only slightly warm and cold at the bottom. I check for air in the rads and no air was in them but the water was black. I had a local plumber come and look at this and he removed 1 radiator and flushed it out, the water coming out was black and a little sludge like consistency. His assessment was that the system had not been flushed by any means before the new boiler had been installed as the water would not be that bad in the rads in just 6 months. So I rang Gas fast for help and suggested that no adequate flush had been done on installation. I was brushed off with aplomb by someone who was obviously well versed in dismissing any request for one of their engineers to come out to look into my claim.
So as you might have guessed by now I'm more than unhappy, I wouldn't recommend this company, they do not have a customer care the world...but they'll take your money as fast as they can fit a boiler.
A very good company to work with. The installers of my new combi boiler were excellent. It only took two hours to take my old one out and install the new one and get it working. I am very satisfied.

Would give a 0 rating.if I could.Very clever they send a friendly guy initially.and we .thought it was a good option.Days later the prices keep changing then receive one of the rudest phone calls from the manager. Aggressive,patronising, insulting, shouting ..basically totally unprofessional.Cancelled the contract we signed just hope no money taken from us despite cancellation. Stay away from them ss deceitful and dress is up that we arent intelligent enough to understand their plan.Disgraceful conduct.

If you are thinking of using them, I wouldn’t.
You will get a visit by a nice friendly chap, who will talk you into paying well over the odds for a boiler, which you could actually get for half the price!
So they made an appointment very quickly, two men came to fit it and it was completed in a few hours, great, I thought
So, in less than a week, the boiler got an error on it, which , when I looked in the Manuel, it said call an engineer, which I did and with a few arguement, ideal came out to fix the problem. It was a faulty fan, which apparently ideal were aware of
And now for the big one
The pipe from the boiler goes into my soil pipe, they have not put a collar on and there is no seal, so, every time the upstairs toilet is flushed, it is coming out of the pipe and in to my back yard. Now, I have given them numerous calls and numerous chances to put this right. Bearing in mind I had this fitted in February! They even told me someone was coming one afternoon, I waited in and no one came
I am now having to get my own plumber as I can not let this go on
And I have no choice but to go down the legal route with them
The initial survey was very quick, James the survey our estimated a saving of £33/month on my fuel bill. After deciding to go with a boiler replacement , the installation followed very quickly, much to my surprise with the way things are at the moment.
The fitter was brilliant, pleasant and very tidy. The job changing from a standard boiler system to a combi boiler was completed in a day. The new boiler has been in for over a month now and my first full month for billing purposes showed a saving of £69. The heating of hot water with the combi boiler has made such a difference.

Lost faith already. Can you trust a company who lets you down like this and blame covid? They should have a covid recovery plan.
