We have recently completed our house sale and purchased another property, not the best thing to do in a global pandemic but our solicitor Kellie Longstaff was brilliant I would highly recommend her she took the stress off, she was fast efficient and always got back to me within the hour for me this is a biggie as this is our 3rd house sale and 3rd solicitor we have used I always find the communication lacked with other solicitors.

She was always polite, and would always go out of her way to help and explain where the conveyancing was up to, any problems we faced she sorted it out.

Thanks again Kellie we really appreciate all your hard work.

We have recently completed on a house purchase, thanks, in full, to Kirsty Hudson. Our initial conveyancer was neither efficient nor professional but fortunately he went on annual leave and Kirsty took over. (Our initial negative experience with gblf is the reason for only giving 4 stars.) Kirsty was efficient, professional, reliable and knowledgeable. She was patient and proactive and I would highly recommend her. She is excellent at her job and I hope this is recognised within gblf. Thank you Kirsty.

My brother and I recently sold my mothers property, our conveyancer was Lisa Bucknall. My mother is palliative, Lisa Bucknall was informed of this along with the fact my mother had not got long at all. I actually spoke to Lisa once, every other time I could not get an answer from her direct line, when I spoke to the receptionist I was informed that Lisa would call back, she never did. This last week Kate Bell took over for Lisa as she is on annual leave, Kate sorted everything out in 2 days. We have now completed much to my relief, I can now concentrate on my mother in the last few days of her life. All credit should go to Kate Bell. I wouldn’t have given any stars if it were not for Kate Bell.

Buying a house through a Global Pandemic was not one of my brightest ideas but Craig Foot and the team were absolutely fantastic and he is a credit to the Firm. Great communication and customer service was received during the transaction and swift and early completion today on my purchase.
Would recommend to my friends and family

Samantha was fantastic during the sale of my mother’s house which she had lived in for many years. The sale was made more complex by more things than you can imagine but she took everything in her stride and the service was exemplary.

We needed grant of probate on my late father’s estate which was dealt with by Laura in an equally professional way.

The new office on Team Valley is a godsend for us - it is easy to get to and has parking right outside. The staff here were great. I can’t remember the name of the receptionist but when (before lockdown) I was going to the office she was always helpful and welcoming.

We have used GBLF before and will be doing so again for will writing.

Rebecca was friendly, approachable, organised and efficient in her work. She was quick to respond to queries and managed them in a timely manner.

I would like to personally pass on my thanks, along with my two sisters, to Samantha and her team for their help in selling our house. It was an emotional time for us as it was also a family home for our mother and her siblings. Sadly our uncle passed away there so now all ties are cut, although friends of ours have bought it.
Apart from Samantha having a sharp lawyers brain, it was her human touch that i noticed the most and appreciated during this sad time.
Sam was always helpful and relaxed. Which couldn`t have been easy with a luddite like me!
I will definately be using this law firm again, as trust and compassion are probably the most important things a person can possess, and she has it in spades

Not recommended, from the start nothing hit problems, several delays, missing communication, when they said they had tried to contact me but obviously they hadn’t - no missed calls.
Variety and inconsistent number of people dealing with mortgage details, became lost with it all.
When everything was finalised they sent me the final bill three times due to them not agreeing to the original quote and then adding cost on top because they had forgot To add something.
Not a recommendation I would suggest. I went with them through Avant Homes, which are a great company, however I would Highly suggest you stay with your local solicitor and don’t take the chance with this firm that has been a Disappointment from start to finish!

I couldn't recommend Gordon brown law firm enough. Rebecca Gray and Libby Martin have been brilliant arranging my will for me. Even with everything going on they sorted it all via email and Libby answered all my questions, even my silly ones because I didnt have a clue about most of it. Great service, thanks alot!
