Geeker: Shameful Scam.
Geeker has the worst reputation with customer service, They claim to work 24/7, and responding within 12 hours when asked for support but it is actually a lie, they took more 24 hours so far.
when you try to cancel your membership after free trial or when you are on paid membership, it doesn't cancel your membership and keeps on charging you. It is a scam..

Don't trust what they tell you on this …
Don't trust what they tell you on this site. I joined a five day free trial then tried to cancel after 3 days. I send them two separate emails at the customer care address they claim would help and never got a reply. Then they billed me $65 for nothing . I will cancel my credit card to stop these people getting anymore money. They are nothing but a scam. It's laughable they keep replying to all the complaints that they are a legitimate company. They have no intention of answering your complaint their aim is to trick you then charge you for something you don't know you have ordered . Do not trust this company.
Your reply is utter rubbish. I did exactly as you said twice and as yet you haven't refunded me nor have you even bothered to reply to my emails.
I hope as many people as possible read these reviews. They basically all say the same thing. But of course according to you people everybody else is wrong. Good luck getting that dog to hunt !!

SCAM!
SCAM!
A credit card is not required to verify who I am or where I live. Since I put my information into a system manually I verify this. Should I wish to continue any type of membership into a premium zone it is no hassle to give you my credit card at that time. It is a hassle when I try to cancel such memberships. The fact that you state the card will not be charged is simply not true - prior to finishing the registration a charge of one penny USD is put to the card. It does not matter whether it is one penny or one thousand dollars. You credibility is suspect immediately. No need to thank me Geeker because I am not going to contact you in any fashion.
Edit: I relent due to the sheer audacity of Geeker.
No - Credit card information is not asked to insure who I am - it is required to make sure I have a credit card.
No - You do not ask for my credit card to make my experience easier - you ask for it to make sure that you can make the experience of charging me for membership easier for you.
No - the one penny hold is for your use to insure my credit card is one you can charge as you desire. In addition you say the card will not be used if it is submitted on the sign up form, and yet it is. Regardless of the reasoning you may extend you have broken the bond of trust by the simple use of my card upon my application after clearing stating you would not use it. You can just as easily put a hold on my funds prior to the actual need of doing so, for paid membership. veiled in the premise that it is for my benefit. With you in control of my credit card information I have no way to prevent you charging my card whether I wish to buy a membership or not. Failure of full disclosure of your practices caused me to rate you as I have.

SCAM!!!
SCAM!!!! i foolishly did not read the reviews online before doing free trial. after giving my card information i was stuck on the site so i read reviews and found negative stuff. i immediately canceled my card and got a new card. i also cancelled my free trial but take note ..when i hit the cancel button it says your premium membership has been cancelled. It did not say "FREE TRIAL". I checked my mailbox and it said my registration was cancelled with $0.01 charged on my card and no further charges will occur. okay guys, i spent roughly 25 mins on this site so you know what could have happened if i did 5 days free trial. That means i would be paying automatically for premium without knowing it. This is A scam and should be reported to the authorities like FBI

Make FREE trial mean FREE trial. It is not FREE if you require confidential information beforehand, so it is false advertising. SCAM at its finest.

Geeker accepted my hacked debit card to set up an account
Someone hacked my debit card and set up an account with Geeker.com and they charged my debit card. When I chatted with Geeker 8/27 they could not confirm that they had my security code and expiration date. Only after several chats and finally a call did I fund out that someone else did have my security code and expiration date. The other person did not even have my name in his email address and they accepted it. Be wary of Geeker.com

Signed up to Geeker for 5 days free …
Signed up to Geeker for 5 days free trial with debit card. During process an ad came up for Unicef or some charity like that which I wasn't interested in anyway. I pressed the continue button and only noticed then that by pressing this button I was donating €1 to Unicef or whatever. A little trap set for us. Looking at my Bank statement I noticed that €1 went to Geeker NOT Unicef. Shame on you Geeker scamming the charitable organisations as well as everybody else.

Thanks everyone your reviews. It really saved me from making this mistake.
Thanks everyone for posting the fraudulent website information.
I was just about to sign up.
I read the first web search review and it had one opinion only.
Then I saw these reviews.
It drew a red flag for me when it asked for 3 digit security code on my card and when it claimed it needed my card to verify which country I live in.
So grateful to you all for saving me from this hassel.

I wish I had Googled this website …
I wish I had Googled this website before being scammed. FAKE videos. Stealth charges to your credit card and "refunds" and "cancellations" that never happen. Within a day a Geeker "support rep" will reply to this... apologizing... more trolls telling lies, trying to seem like a legitimate company. They will keep your money, keep charging you and when too many people complain they will change their name again.
Do yourself a favour, just cancel your credit/debit card and dispute the charge. And for the Geeker troll that will respond to this, you won this time, but I hope you are caught.
Ps. If you have to keep explaining to people that you are a "legitimate" company, rest assured, it is not. Just search for "Geeker" and "onlinethreatalerts" - For such a legitimate company, you surely have a lot of angry customers...

WARNING: I just want to let everyone know that Geeker.com is a fraudulent website. The only way to cancel your membership is to cancel your card. Don't even try to cancel you're membership through them, as they will continue to charge your card. The safest way is to call your bank and have them close the card you used. THIS IS A FRAUDULENT WEBSITE!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT/DEBIT INFORMATION!!!!

Do you have a zero star
Do you have a zero star? You should, because I would. I felt stupid after giving them my credit card for "validation" purpose. If it is a free membership fee, why do you need validation? After giving them my account, I was told the membership is 5 days for free and I was led to a donation webpage. Yet the book I intended to read was nowhere to be found! They gave you everything that you don't need, in short, garbage!

I do feel that they give false hope
I do feel that they give false hope. I just signed up today. I definitely would not have if I had known that the movie choice sucks on the trial period! If you offer trial then you should really give your customers a reason to want to continue the membership. I tried to cancel right away but for some reason it won't let me yet.
