So we decided as a family we would open a Small Repair shop in Pallion in Sunderland back in January 2009 Geekys was born. We sharp out grown this space with the success of Geekys. From there we decided to move to Sunderland City Centre with over 3500 sq feet of space. We then launched a sister company called Harrys game shack up stairs in Geekys but the space was quickly too small and we had to relocate it we now have over 90 spaces making use the largest and the best gaming venue in sunderland. We have now just launched a second store in Newcastle Eldon Garden. with Harrys game shack in side. Geekys has now started to trade online to bring them great deals all over the uk. Our family just keeps getting bigger and with lots more stuff to come in the future for Geekys and Harrys game shack.

Pre-owned PS4 slim 1TB from…
Bought a pre-owned PS4 slim 1TB from Geeky's. It arrived filthy in ports, edges, and with a Minecraft disc inside. Of course, we had to clean it carefully. It was glitchy, had audio issues, and showed frequent error codes indicating a problem with system software. No order note came with the PS4 package.
Received no response when I sent two emails with attachments showing evidence of issues, so I had to call the store repeatedly for a contact. Nobody in the online team was working on the Friday, so had to wait until the Monday for an answer. Team did not ask about item or order number to verify customer they were talking to unlike professional retailers like GAME or CEX. I had to remind them of various important details, and was told I would receive a refund for item and P&P.
Still had to call store when I sent item back by track and trace postage (did not trust sending item by first class postage without being signed). Someone called "Jason" signed for it but was told nobody called Jason worked there. Very important to track returns and have them signed for evidence.
In the process of receiving my refund to their credit with email confirmation, but no P&P despite agreeing to refund me this. I also returned the Minecraft disc in secure and safe packaging in a show of good faith and honesty. PS4 miraculously tested by their team and working perfectly. A lot of time and energy has gone into a refund when I had a far simpler process with other retailers. Very time-consuming and stressful.
Phone team great, but online team and returns process terrible. No real acknowledgement of poor quality of item that will presumably be sold to someone else. I am sure that Geekys will enjoy a clean console now. Very poor service which is a shame due to wanting to support local businesses. Do better.

I originally received the wrong items & had to return them. I received an email, saying they still had the correct items in stock. I still wanted them, so they sent them out later that day. I've now got the parts & am very happy in the end. We'll done 👍

They don't sell brand new computers... They won't tell you this
Purchased what I thought was a brand new computer through the website. Went to pick it up to discover that in fact, it was an ex-display model that didn't work as it wouldn't stay on longer than 10 minutes.
In the process of trying to get my refund, but so far dealing with the staff has been unpleasant as they either don't want to talk to you, or try to insist it's an issue with settings on the computer putting it to sleep, or my monitor, seemingly they don't understand when I say the computer turns off, it completely powers off.
They didn't even bother wiping the computer before giving it to me.
According to staff though, all the computers are second hand, which I can't see anything written on the website or in store to indicate that very important detail.
Terrible experience
I don't know what I did, but the imac cannot boot. When asked about a 'rescue disk', the shop wanted £50. I would not purchase another imac from them.

I got in touch with Geekys for a price for a replacement screen for my iPhone. They got straight back with the answer £40 and done in an hour. My screen broke while I was in Manchester and my daughter rang a place there and it was an estimate price of £115!!! Thank you so much Geekys for a fair price for a job done so quickly.
