Long wait for results but otherwise great
The wait for the test results was very long, but you told us in advance that there would be a wait, so I understood that. Finally my results did come and were easy to understand. Your company seems to be willing to help us going forward, also. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because my daughter sent her sample in the same day as me and has heard nothing after 5 weeks.

Standard lab tests usually take around 3–4 weeks, while DNA tests can take up to 6–8 weeks. Always amazing experience with Gettested
As always with Gettested, I had an amazing experience. I had an issue with the previous kit that got lost and the customer service sent a new one.
I have taken many tests over the years, this time I took the genetic methylation. It helped me so much understanding the root cause of some of my issues. Now, with methyl B12 and methyl folate as supplements, I am starting to feel a lot better. Thank you so much, Gettested!

Ignored repeatedly
I received my test results but had many questions - including why a lifelong allergy to scallops didn't appear. I reached out on email multiple times to discuss my queries and try and establish next steps, even messaged and commented on Instagram and have received no reply in return. To pay £150 for an allergy test, only to have the entire results effectively thrown out the window, and then be completely ignored by the company - not great. I only want to have a set of credible and reliable results, was hoping gettested could help with this but it seems not.

The report is great and detailed but I had to chase the company to see if they received my sample and again for my results after 6 weeks. However as soon as I emailed them, they replied with my results.

At the same time, we’re sorry to hear that you had to follow up to get updates. DNA results usually take 6–8 weeks, and once ready, we send out your result along with three reminder emails in case the first one is missed.

Unable to return / refund - no response (resolved).
I changed my mind after ordering - I e-mailed to request to cancel, received no response. Item arrived, I have emailed several times requesting to return/refund (as per their return policy), but have received no response.

Order not sent, is this a scam!
I placed an order yesterday on express and have only had a confirmation of my order no dispatch details and I needed these tests urgently as I was recently assaulted.
This company had taken my money but not shipped my order and I spent £100 and I’m very upset as I thought this was a trusted company!

Very disappointed with this company. Ordered a test on 23rd of April and never received it as well as never received any update regarding the order. I also sent a few emails requesting refund as had to order the same test somewhere else and again no answer. I would definitely not recommend to use this company.

Do not order from this company.
I ordered a histamine intolerance test from Get Tested on 23rd April. After a week and no delivery, I went to check my email but realised I hadn't received one. The money for the test has been taken from my account so the order must have gone through. I have sent messages on the website chat function and via email, resorting to emailing every day but have received nothing in return. There is no customer service at all and I have no idea if my paid for test will ever arrive. I work in the nutrition field and will not be advising anyone to use them.

Since you haven’t specified which test you took, it’s a bit difficult for us to give a specific answer here. We kindly ask that you contact us by email and include a photo of your test result, so we can help assess it.
In general, false positives can happen for a few different reasons, depending on the test:
🔹 If it’s an allergy or sensitivity test, low exposure to the allergen can lead to inconsistent antibody levels, which may cause a misleading result.
🔹 If it’s an infection, STI, or virus test — each has a specific incubation period. This means testing too early (before the body has produced enough antibodies or antigens) can lead to false negatives or unclear positives.
🔹 Eating or drinking right before a test (especially rapid tests for infections) may interfere with the result. For example, studies suggest that sugary drinks or acidic foods could affect lateral flow tests.
🔹 A faint line on some rapid tests does not always indicate a true positive — it may reflect very low levels or background interference, and the test should be interpreted cautiously, as per the included instructions.
It’s important to read all test instructions carefully and, if necessary, follow up with a healthcare provider — especially if you have symptoms or get a positive result. Rapid tests are not meant to provide a medical diagnosis but rather an indication that something might need further investigation — similar to how a home pregnancy test can show false positives under certain conditions.

I’ve ordered a food allergy test for my wife that never arrived. Sent an email to enquire where the test is or when it’ll be dispatched. No response.
Sent an other email requesting a refund, once again no response.

Excellent experience!
I had a very good experience with this company! Although it's an easy testing process to follow, I just couldn't get enough blood onto the testing card. I always have difficulty with donating blood or getting a simple blood draw. I contacted the company and they immediately sent me a new kit. The customer service is excellent and responsive. The second time worked and I got results quickly. Don't hesitate to use them!
