Worst experience ever for my expat…
Worst experience ever for my expat insurance in China. Avoid at all costs. Unlike many other insurance companies no direct billing available with major clinics. First you have to pay your Foyer insurance premiums, next you have to pay for the invoices from clinics. When you submit your Invoice for reimbursment you receive an automatic reply that your claim will be processed as soon as possible. Weeks are passing, no reply and no chance to have any update on the progress. Same automated reply from claims email. WhatsApp clerk would read your messages and just ignore them. Wish I could read all the reviews before appling for Foyer's insurance.

A fabulous and reliable health…
A fabulous and reliable health insurance. I have been very happy with the claim handling and communication. Customers can choose different insurance categories according to their needs. I have been able to see consultants in various countries as I have two residences and occasionally live in the Uk but sometimes see doctors in Germany or France. Foyer allows this flexibility.

Won't recommend Mayfair
Foyer Global Health Insurance upon on your reply it shows you haven't read my feedback, as well, your reply seems to be standard. Until now, I have not heard nor got an email from your company.
Won't recommend Mayfair - Le Foyer insurance! Stay away and go with Alliance or Bupa!
Their customer support is a nightmare, same with their policy not clear what isn't covered. The policy terms have only been sent after I asked for it, as well, it's full of loop holes in their interest.
Caution: The detailed terms aren't send mentadory in the first contact nor when you get the customer contract.
They ask you: to pay upfront, upload the invoice with the diagnosis.
My first claim: Had an issue with suddenly skin rashes and migraines.
Below is an example as proof, declined without any furhter information provided from their side nor the policy terms:
Please note your claim adjudicated per policy term. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover Migraine and Skin Rash disorder condition as per policy exclusion.
Kindly find below the policy excerpt for your perusal.
31. Arising from epilepsy, migraines and narcolepsy.
33. Arising from disorders of the skin; corns, calluses, etc
I trust this clarifies and regret that we are unable to help you in this instance.
Thanks and Regards,

Horrendous claims process
Horrendous claims process. As others have said, you have to upload stacks of papers. Every GP or specialist appointment needs to be accompanied with a letter explaining the purpose of the visit. Even with this and a detailed invoice, claims are often arbitrarily denied - often without reason and just stating “not in policy terms” - which is patently untrue.
For any new condition - e.g. visit to a doctor for back pain - they ask for your entire medical record. This is even if you have a moratorium and haven’t claimed for it within those years. As global expats, often you don’t have a “family” doctor who you see consistently so this makes a farce of the whole situation. I’ve provided my medical record before joining foyer and had letters from my doctor stating they’ve never seen me for the condition before, yet still claims denied. If you try to contact them for help you get no reply whatsoever - absolutely none.
Claims take roughly 6 weeks to process (or to get the first query returned) and have done for the entire time I have had my policy (c. 5 years) so this isn’t a new issue. MD always giving interviews about their digital transformation but everything is still done via scanned PDF. Outpatient cashless is non-existent as they don’t have a network. Absolutely useless. Save yourself the hassle and go with a reputable name - Cigna, Aetna, AXA etc.

Poor Customer Service and Lack of Transparency – Unacceptable from a Health Insurance Provider
I am incredibly disappointed with Foyer Health Group Insurance and their lack of responsiveness, particularly given the time-sensitive nature of health insurance issues. I have been waiting for almost two weeks to receive any response from them to my emails, and it's very frustrating.
As a health insurance provider, Foyer Health Group should understand the importance of timely communication, especially when dealing with matters that can have serious consequences for customers' health and well-being. The lack of timely responses to emails is unacceptable and can lead to unnecessary stress and uncertainty.
In addition to their poor communication, I have encountered several technical issues on their website. I have been unable to download important documents such as my contract, which only adds to the frustration and lack of transparency that I've experienced with this company.
Moreover, Foyer Health Group did not withdraw my payment on time, and I had to remind them to do so. Interestingly, they responded quite quickly in this instance, demonstrating their ability to provide prompt service when it benefits them, but not when it comes to addressing the concerns of their customers.
Overall, I cannot recommend Foyer Health Group Insurance due to their unresponsiveness, lack of transparency, and unreliable website. This is a company that customers should approach with caution, as their poor service could lead to unnecessary complications and stress in dealing with health insurance matters.

Would not recommend...
Like others have said already, their reimbursement process is very chaotic and non-transparent in my view. Everything takes a very long time and remarks on the reimbursement requests in their Online Portal seem to be ignored or not paid attention to… Sometimes claims are declined stating that they need medical files from the previous health insurance dating back up to four years.
I once had a situation where I urgently needed to do a CT scan and wanted to know whether the costs will be reimbursed eventually. I contacted their Whatsapp number only to hear four hours after the CT scan took place “Sorry, I was in a meeting and just saw your message.” It also surprised me that they are not even using a Whatsapp Business Account.
When I was interested in this insurance in the very beginning there were like 3-4 to sales people chasing me and sending me multiple emails. Sadly, once you are insured with them, at least per my experience, you will face a wall of silence to all your remarks and questions. The only thing that works like clockwork is them sending you your monthly invoice.

You always have to wait ages for bills getting paid. Also they mess them up all the time. They have a huge chaos, often they decline something, and then apprive afterwards. My account is a big mess because they dont have structure

Claims process was broken, could this be on the past?
𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰𝗝𝗔𝗡𝟮𝟲 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: 𝘈𝘣𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘥𝘭𝘺 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦! I recently went in for an endoscopy and colonoscopy and every step of the way Foyer’s contractors C² Paris as well as Foyer themselves have been rapid and communicative. Thank you in particular to 𝗘𝗿𝗶𝗰 at C² Paris
𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯𝗢𝗖𝗧𝟬𝟵 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: Unfortunately I've seen 𝘯𝘰 𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 in their processes. As others have stated here they require specific documentation when you claim. I could accept this if they didn't make the process so 𝘤𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵. They'll always send an automatic response upon receiving a claim which serves to do nothing but fill your inbox. Then upon rejection, they will send you two attachments. One of which is superfluous. The second states what documentation they need. However this is in a separate email, so not in the thread of your original claim. The references they share for your claim make it no easier for the customer and the email will be at least two weeks after you have put the claim through.

𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯𝗠𝗔𝗬𝟭𝟲 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: After the call on May 15th the claims team immediately worked on my issues and updated me on ones still outstanding due to extenuating circumstances. Calling definitely works in this instance which suggests that the team is competent but must be under a large amount of work currently. I implore your operations team to look at your workflow processes. Your claims team are superb.
𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯𝗠𝗔𝗬𝟭𝟱 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: I have had a few claims outstanding for a month and so recently called the company. I must say that the claims team on the call were 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and gave information about the hold-ups. I honestly think the team at Foyer have good intentions at heart, but they need to look at their processes and systems to catch up to the customer service they exhibit over the phone.
𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯𝗔𝗣𝗥𝟭𝟴 𝗨𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲: I will be using the phone number below as I have had to chase 9 claims and counting. I'm currently working on a personal referencing system to be able to hold Foyer accountable. I will update readers here as to how this process goes, as well as how effective calling the company is.
𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁:
They make their claims process as inefficient as possible. They don't reference any evidence you provide, reply to any queries, or follow up at all on anything.
My context is that my wife gave birth and suffered complications afterwards. It's been incredibly stressful and the only incompetent part of the whole process was Foyer.

Worst than worse!
Unfortunately, I am still insured with them
I have dealt with health insurance companies worldwide. They are the worst! If I could give them a -* I would.
The user interface is useless. They ask you to upload totally irrelevent details as it is instructions to the patient, and now the file size is too big. So you send it via email and two months later they still do not process the claim. Bottom line AVOID THEM!

DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM
DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM
As an expat and traveller, if you are considering to get Foyer Global as your insurance provider, get that thought out of your mind!! Their coverage policies are overrated and claims payout non-existing. Do not waste your time!
Happy to recommend other insurance companies that are much better.

outrageous increase of insurance fees by 50%
I have been insured with Foyer Global Health since 2016. Since then annual fees were increased in a reasonable way, ie. from initially 198 Euro/month to 256 Euro/month in 2022 for the essential coverage. However, without prior announcement, in December 2022 I was charged 385 Euro - which, as I eventually learnt - was set to be the new monthly rate for 2023. That is an increase of 50% !
Being 60 years old with a pre-condition it is not easy for me to move to another insurance. I am trapped. My insurance broker had them to give a statement, and the increase was justified with high expenses during Covid.
It was not considered that I hadn't claimed anything for two continuous years (2020/21) as I have a self participation of 250 Euro.
I would have expected the insurer to provide some alternatives for clients who don't make use of their coverage. This could be a certain refund at the end of the year or it could come in a reduction of fees for the year to come.
A sudden unannounced increase of 50% is in my opinion completely inacceptable. This kind of business behaviour is outrageous.
I regret that I am a Foyer Global Health client and don't recommend this health insurer.

Don’t. Just don’t go with Foyer.
This is the worst insurance company I dealt with. I was happy at first because they would insure my type 1 diabetes but here’s what the issue was:
-They gave me a final quote then told me it was wrong 2 weeks later and tried to increase the price - only after I argued did I get my original price.
-They made it explicitly clear (as I asked multiple times) that they would cover all treatments for my diabetes. However, when I asked AFTER I enrolled in the policy, they informed me that while my insulin would be cover, the glucose monitor that goes in my arm would be classed as medical therapy device or something similar and would have a limit per year. This meant that after I wasted all my time to research and enrol in this policy, it didn’t cover me like they explicitly told me it would. And FYI when you read that section in the policy document about medical devices it makes no mention to diabetes glucose monitors it’s all completely different devices related to completely different and opposite diseases.
- Before I even completed the first payment, they upped my already extortionate policy fee by 30 euros claiming an annual increase in price. That would be fine, IF I HAD BEEN WITH THEM FOR A YEAR. I DIDNT EVEN START THE POLICY YET.
- When I complained about these last two things, I received no response so I cancelled my policy and taking my business elsewhere. I absolutely do not recommend this company as they outright lied to me during the process. Shame on Foyer Global Health. SHAME
Update: in response to Foyer’s Response: In my email it specifically said that ALL diabetes treatments would be covered. Not partially covered, not 1/4 covered, covered. This is still misleading and your reply is typical insurance company tactics of not taking responsibility for misleading their customers. Appalling.
Update #2: Foyer STOLE app. €13 euros from my bank account - they took money without any authorisation. It took 1 week and 1 day for them to refund the money. I also received an insurance card for the policy I canceled ages ago. They are thieves and not to be trusted.
