Just got charged for an annual membership that I don’t use because I did not find the lessons useful. Current best practice is to advise when an annual membership is about to be billed. Or to agree... See more

I would like to see more business and entrepreneur type classes.
Wish I could take a course again even…
Wish I could take a course again even though I took it before or at least know immediately that I had taken it - think all that would require was an initial sign on before selection. I know you send the files of previously taken courses but I like the daily email. Also new courses are slow to appear I have been a member for a while and am running out of options that is why I would like to retake some.

These small 10 days courses are helping me develop a better understanding in general and revise what I already know but forgotten over time. This is helping me in personal and business relationships.
I love the variety of topics
I love the variety of topics. The quick reads are easy to digest and there is always a link to further reading if you're curious and want to explore more.
Don't waste your time or give them a dime!
SCAM: DON'T EVEN TRY! I take a class on writing. The instructor points you to other textbooks to read. I go to cancel. I don't have an account. I can't easily figure out how to cancel. Try another. It's stupid, not for me. I get an Email from Paypal that $60 had been deducted from my account and sent to Highbrow! I get an Email from Highbrow, "Welcome to Highbrow. We do not give refunds!" I email, Dorothy writes back "I'm so glad to meet you! I canceled your subscription You won't get charged next year, but we are keeping the $60!" Have a wonderful day! Highbrow? It doesn't get lower.
Total scam they stole 60$ from me
Terrible payment fraud. ILLEGAL
Terrible. Failed to cancel subscription despite having link to do so. TWICE. Course material was reasonable. Would not recommend the experience. Paddle.com should care to spend some time undertaking due diligence on this company before facilitating illegal and fraudulent behavior via Paypal.
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE! This whole thing is run by a bunch of scammers. Their adverts are very misleading and beware they will charge you $60 for a full year membership without any notification that your trial period is over and your membership is up for renewal. I have contested the $60 charge they took from my account within less than 24 hours and this Dorothy girl (I doubt that this is even her real name) I was emailing with back and forth was just completely talking BS in a somewhat diplomatic way telling me that I should have cancelled my membership earlier, but there's no way to keep track when the trial period is over.
IT'S A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!
I was going to sign up
I was going to sign up, but I as clicked the banner with $60 for a year if I desiced to continue after the trial period - in the next window the price was $70... so I really searched to find if their customerservice is good in case I had to complain about the cost... and found that they actually have NO good reviews.... So I'm not signing up for it.
Thanx to all of you who left me the tips!
I have exactly the same complaints…
I have exactly the same complaints about Highbrough as the others. They are deceitful, & what gauls me is that they explain their position as if it is the word of law - actually it is not, it is just their fraudulent policy. Actually in much of Canada, this policy is called 'reverse onus' & it is illegal.
This company is not truthful & has horrible customer relations, they are fraudulent & dishonest.
To take advantage of those who wish to improve their education, & put in disrepute the numerous instructors who work for them is
shameful. I wonder if they even know what is going on behind their backs.
Caveat Emtpor
Caveat Emtpor. Yes, I did sign up for it. Yes I did look at the conditions. I incorrectly diarised the month's trial ending date. I took a class and felt overwhelmed, but unfortunately did not cancel in time. $60 is a lot of money to be charged without warning. But it was in the conditions. I guess I will try to make the most of the one-year subscription and enroll every 10 days - I missed the information that you can only enroll in one class at a time, or I would have taken multiple classes to get my money's worth.
They will charge you before alerting…
They will charge you before alerting you that you are being charged. Then they will not refund your money when you immediately ask for a cancellation. There is no "profile" to log into so you never know when your year is up and how to cancel ahead of time. I was told there is no phone support and that they CAN NOT issue refunds even if I asked within 24 hours of being charged. Unacceptable customer service. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE.
Scam - avoid at all costs
Total scam. They do not tell you when the free trial is over, they deduct the whole year's worth of billings all at once right after (without a choice!) and their customer service is ridiculously bad. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! the course content is abysmal - you can definitely learn more for free.
aweful
aweful.
they do not warn you when the trial period is over, they just take your money after trial period is over. you can be sick, dying, they don't care, they just rob you.
and the programme is pathetic, useless, you will not learn a thing.
AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
do not sign up even for free.
IT IS A SCAM!!!!
BEWARE, IT'S A SCAM!!!
Beware of Highbrow!!!! They are an online educational course provider. They advertise on their website and in their terms and conditions that membership for the courses is $5/mo. Then in smaller font writes $60 billed once a year (I thought this was just an additional option). However, they deduct the full $60 from you as soon as your 30-day trial is over, not $5/mo. They gave me no notice so the trial period ended without me knowing and suddenly I had $60 missing from my account. I canceled my membership straight away and they won't refund me any of my money. None of it. So they're not charging me $5 per month as advertised, nor $60 per year, but $60 upfront as soon as the 30-day trial is over. They say on their site "cancel anytime" but what they don't mention is that even after canceling you still have to pay the full $60 for the year, even if you've never received any content and only been a paying member for 1 day before canceling, like me! They've charged me $60 for one day of membership! Their billing period is really at the start of each year, charging for the full year so it is deceiving to advertise it as $5/mo. It's very sneaky of them. I wrote to them saying I haven't and don't want to use their services and I'm unemployed at the moment and cannot afford the $60 they just deducted from my bank account. I explained I really need that money to survive. They didn't care. They told me they "can't" refund me. How ridiculous! Of course they can! It's easy to return a deducted payment. They just don't WANT to. They'd rather scam money out of me than help me. They wouldn't even compromise with me. They are callous and greedy. They've been very patronizing and unhelpful in my communication with them. All they care about is getting money out of you. I do NOT recommend them.
