I like that there's an ap and transactions seem transparent. I have as yet not experienced trying to sell any silver back to Gold Avenue and hope this is as I had perceived it. Also I am still not entirely sure what I will end up paying on the silver stock I hold with you...storage fees over £8,500...

I would not recommend this app to anyone because the service fee is extremely high — up to 55 euros just to buy gold. It was my own fault for not being careful when making the purchase, and now I have to wait for the market to rise just to break even before I can sell it again.

Premium costs, which are charged by all precious metals retailers, are also explained as covering our production and operational costs, as well as our margin.
Note that this value will always be available on our page, on the product's page, before the purchase.
Note that fees vary according to the type of your product, the size (the smaller the size, the higher the fees in %), the stock, demand, etc.
Buying a collectable product, indeed, requires fees higher than those for standard products, due to the rarity of the product and the associated production costs.

Before choosing Gold Avenue as my go to dealer, I did extensive research on European dealers of precious metals, and there are a few good ones, but those are mostly German websites. English ones that I came across with good reputations would only do local delivery, not covering the whole of Europe. All in all, after extensive research I found Gold Avenue to be at the top, and I only buy from them online. They have a great app, delivery is available across the board, prices are competitive, stock availability is better compared to most dealers, storage is free up to 10k, and instant resale at spot price is, if you ask me, a no brainer. All in all, I am very happy with my overall experience with them. The only bad remark is that depositing funds to the account sometimes takes 2–3 days to reach the account, as they need to cross-reference the deposit, but there are also instant payment options available with a percentage fee. Not a big deal for most people who are ok to wait 2–3 days to avoid additional charges. However, if you are more of a collector who is watching stock alerts and grabbing discounts, this might not always work for you, so be mindful of that.
Regardless, focusing on the important thing, and the one that truly counts, Gold Avenue is legit. They are an official distributor for a few different mints, which for me was the reason why I chose them, and I have never regretted it.

Quick refund
A technical issue on the website probably due to peak traffic last january allowed on order for some likely unavailable items (but displayed as 'in store') to go through and be processed (meaning payment did NOT fail). After notifying GoldAvenue on a friday evening through the support form, I noticed next Tuesday I was already refunded. Many thanks for your quick reactivity, although it's a bit of a shame, those wanted items were really nice.

Good experience overall
The purchase of gold and payment are designed in a very convenient and easy way. Delivery is super quick, only took two days to deliver from Swisszerland to Germany. However, the carrier should have asked for my signature upon delivery to end the insurance. However, the packet was just left in my mailbox. Thanks God that it was not lost. Hopefully my next delivery would be better.

Slow transfer processing
My only complaint is the time it takes to show up the available balance to purchase on the wallet. Usually SEPA payments are immediate within the SEPA area, but that’s not the case for Gold Avenue, in some cases it takes up to two days to show up in the wallet (note that the Gold Avenue user account is mentioned on the payment, which should make the allocation to the wallet automatic), the delay implies that sometimes, in times of volatility, you are not able to complete the purchase intended, having to top up the wallet a second time, adding additional waiting time and uncertainty on whether the amount will be enough once it shows on the wallet.
Other than that, fully satisfied with the rest of services.
