WOW saw The Three Scrooges Christmas…
WOW saw The Three Scrooges Christmas Show last night, what a show and what a venue at The Beacon! The whole place was so beautifully lit and atmospheric. The food was incredible and the acting in the performance first class. A lovely mix of dramatics, humour and a wonderful Christmas feeling. Thanks so much for a brilliant night, we loved it.
Great fun for Christmas.
Great fun for Christmas.
Fabulous actors.
Delicious food.
Looking forward to next year!
A delight as ever
A delight as ever. A wonderful feast from Scott and dutifully looked at free by Sol and her team, thank you. The main event however was such fun, we loved it. Toby, despite our deliberate attempts to dethrone him by choosing the lady Scrooge, was the star of the show, his comedic timing is brilliant and the partnership with the other chap as the two little Cratchett girls was hilarious. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The Three Scrooges - Festive Fun
Went to the opening night of The Three Scrooges with my husband. It was very festive and hilarious!
Great entertainment and the food was divine. I will definitely be keeping an eye on future events by these guys!
Shoutout to the younger Cratchit siblings with the bows. I almost fell off my seat laughing at that part!!
Masterful shortening of the great…
Masterful shortening of the great Macbeth play. With only 4 actors/actresses you captured the power and emotion of all the characters. All 4 were versatile, flexible and completely engrossing in their acting snd energy. All set in the magical dark woodland of Kingdom with minimal lighting controlled by your audience - made for a theatrical experience like no other. Many congratulations to you all for pushing the boundaries of theatre Good luck for the next event!
Great fun and loved being a member of the lighting crew
We really enjoyed the experience and the actors did a great job. We felt the location could be best used if the performance took place 1 hour earlier to make better use of the remains of the natural light --- especially as the over all effect would be one of gathering gloom. Also would have liked to see some braziers and burning torches for some lighting effects which is something you can do outside ( unless there is a H & S issue?)
On a slightly different tack, I was one of the audience entrusted with a torch to shine at the actors' knees . I loved it! Allowed me to improvise a light show in the trees during the witches scenes..And agonise over whether during the "is this a dagger.." scene to try to search out for a dagger or stick to MacBeth...and in the Banquo's ghost scene, whether to illuminate the ghost or not.. I decided not. But a great experience for me... thank-you very much. There's probably a lot more mileage in that sort of audience involvement.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening watching…
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening watching Macbeth in a magical and eerie setting....perfect for the play which is a Tragedy....one of Shakespeare's best. Really well organised except the lighting could have been a bit brighter. Looking forward to the next time.
Perhaps you would consider putting on a
Midsummer Nights Dream again at Kingdom? That was a fabulous evening.
Fabulous outdoor production of Macbeth
I'm not a Shakespeare enthusiast but these four talented and energetic young actors brought the play to life in a gorgeous woodland setting. Lovely to sit outside in the dark, wrapped up warm and become immersed in the story. Loved the lighting of the trees; think the 4 stronger torches might have been better as standalone lighting (the audience member opposite us was holding it too high and shining it right in our eyes). Agree with others, more noticeable changes to costumes to differentiate the different characters would have been appreciated. However, highly recommend.
Amazing outdoor setting
This was an amazing and very professional performance. The outdoor setting really adds to the occasion. More obvious changes of clothing when changing characters would help as it’s been a while since I last read or watched Macbeth but that didn’t lessen my enjoyment. I will certainly look out for future chances to return and am so pleased to have this so close to where I live.
Brilliant!
Brilliant, spooky, atmospheric production of Macbeth in a fabulous setting. We all loved it! Great evening out.
Inspired and original performance
We attended a performance of Macbeth and it was simply superb. The decision to hold the play outdoors, with the actors lit solely by torches held by the audience was inspired, creating a dramatic, eerie atmosphere. All performed to a high standard with a very affective audio recording for the three witches. Only one very minor suggestion - slightly more obvious costume changes would help the audience identify characters when they switch between parts. Brilliant evening and highly recommended.
That night we were Scotland!
I have never experienced anything like this before . The setting, the chilly night air and the owls hooting in the distance all added to the superb performances. Who knew that with 4 actors , a few torches and wooden pallets could you create the most amazing evening. I was lost in the performance. Thank you.
Macbeth
We went to see GOOMS' production of Macbeth in a woodland setting this week. It was a terrific performance and we were so impressed at the small company of actors taking on all of the roles. The play was sensitively and cleverly edited to a brisk 90 minutes' running time.
Set in the round and delivered to a small audience, the play was impactful and atmospheric, lit only by torches. A great night out.
Atmospheric play
What an experience! Atmosphere 10/10. Loved how the three witches were voice recordings coming from the woods instead of actors, it added on to the very atmospheric setting. Great actors, highly recommend!
