We are two ladies who are delighted with our experience. We had our own safari vehicle and a lady driver/guide, Juliet, who more than exceeded our expectations. The number of animals we saw very close up was amazing. I was able to take excellent videos and photos with just my phone! Juliet was extremely well informed about the animals and the local tribes people, and we learned so much from her. Thank you Juliet, our guide, and Norah who arranged our trip! I would highly recommend Gosheni Safaris.

My family did our first ever trip to Africa through GoSheni safaris in Tanzania. James Kaaya was our tour guide and he did an outstanding job not only making sure we saw everything we wanted to and more on our safari but connecting with us on a personal level and going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I have an allergy to peanuts and he communicated with all food staff we came in contact with to make sure this was accommodated. I would recommend James and GoSheni to anybody considering this vacation.

My wife and I had a fantastic ten-day private safari in Tanzania with Gosheni Safaris in July 2024. We worked with Norah in their office to plan a custom safari that included Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Central Serengeti National Park and the Northern Serengeti. She was helpful, patient and very responsive.

Our guide on the safari was Arnold, and he was fantastic. He seemed always to know the best routes and the best places to see wildlife, and did his best to accommodate our interests. He was a veritable font of knowledge about wildlife, trees and plants. We saw everything we hoped for and much more -- the so-called big five, the great migration, and wildebeest river crossings, plus large numbers of giraffes, gazelle, zebras and many other animals, and uncountable numbers and species of birds.

The tour vehicle was in great condition and comfortable. Gosheni provided delicious hot lunches daily. The accommodations (hotels on the first and last night, and tented camps the other nights) were delightful. On a whim, we let them know the trip was a celebration of our 40th anniversary. To our surprise, they honored us nearly every night.

The entire Gosheni team provided a well-coordinated and wonderful safari that exceeded our (admittedly high) expectations, at a competitive price.

What was meant to be a family trip for my mum's 70th birthday in 2020 got COVID delayed until 2023, but we finally made it!

We did 8 days / 7 nights covering Tarangire, Central Serengeti, Northern Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. We saw all of the big 5; lion cubs are CUTE followed very closly by three cheetahs brothers rolling around in the grass just being big cats.

What could have been a dampener on the whole trip, my mum's luggage got lost/delayed by Qatar, got turned around by the team at Gosheni - they got us into Arusha to pick up supplies before heading out in safari, and then kept chased up with the airline and managed to get her luggage delivered into one of the small airports in Central Serengeti a couple of days later - AMAZING service!

Our guide Laban was something else to behold - he is knowledgeable, passionate about the animals, environment and culture. His sharp eves meant we saw everything we had wished for and so much more. He was a pleasure to be around and made the trip even more special. He was so kind to my mum, helping her in and out the 4x4, making sure he used her phone and his binoculars to get her some spetactular photos - a true gentleman. Reading the reviews again after the trip its clear Gosheni knows how to pick their guides perfectly.

We also should mention the accomodation and their staff were all fantastic and the most friendly, welcoming people you could hope to meet. Food was great, and the packed lunches were always good - we were never hungry! Having a pinic lunch under a tree in the middle of the Serengeti with wildebeest just wandering around was a highlight.

Many, many thanks to Peter for all the planning and being so accomidating with the COVID delays, and just as many thanks to Laban for being an truly incredible guide.

We are coming back and will be booking with Gosheni again!

My safari was created exactly for me and the things I wanted to do. Marline was excellent in setting up my itinerary and choosing my lodgings for the 9 days I was on safari.I wanted to do a hot air ballon ride over the Serengeti and Marline fit it right into my itinerary . Gabriel was an excellent guide that I can now call my friend. He is professional ,knowledgeable and patient . He also has a great sense of humor. I chose the luxury accommodations during my safari and it was worth every penny. I am thrilled that I decided to use Gosheni to set up my safari to Tanzania. I have been on safari before but this was my best experience yet. At the end of my safari I had the opportunity to sit with Marline and Margaret . Margaret is the director for Gosheni safari. We had an amazing conversation about my trip and they were sincerely concerned about my likes and dislikes of my experience. That is the kind of service you get with Gosheni safaris. I would highly recommend that you choose Gosheni for next safari. I plan on returning to Africa again and I will not hesitate to choose Gosheni Safaris for my next adventure.

We are family of four, two adults and two kids, 8 and 11 years old. We had the pleasure to discover into the safari trip not only the beautiful animals, but trough our amazing host, William, the people and habits of Tanzania tribes! His extensive knowledge about animals and plants and the useful advices made our trip amazing!

We did a 5 day / 4 night private safari with Gosheni Safaris, starting at Ngorongoro, through Central Serengeti, and with 2 nights in the Ndutu area where the animals were slowly making their way. It was an absolutely surreal experience, easily one of the best my husband and I have had (and we've travelled a fair bit). In large part, this was thanks to our Safari guide, William: his deep knowledge and long experience of the Serengeti, its animals, and surrounding areas; his patience, good humour and flexibility; his fantastic skills at handling the vehicle and the bumpy roads; and a very clear desire to show us the very best this stunning scenery had to offer. We researched many companies before choosing this one (there are 1000+ in Arusha alone!), and would not hesitate wholeheartedly recommending William or Gosheni, especially as a local company that has been diligently built from the ground up by the owner, Peter, and the entire staff thanks to their good service. From the moment you step into Gosheni's base in Arusha -- and even before, via email -- you will feel like you are in extremly capable and safe hands. We booked our honeymoon Safari trip with Gosheni ,they took care of everything to make sure you enjoy your trip and Safari. A truly once in lifetime experience.

You should definitely try to get Gabriel as your guide because he is the best! He has 16+ years of experience and it shows. He is excellent at spotting all the different animals and knowing everything you’d want to know about them. He’s also just a terrific driver as he has no problem navigating the difficult terrain (we saw multiple other tours’ jeeps broken down). But, most importantly, he has a good sense of humor and kept our entire game driving entertaining. He is extremely friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to speak with!

One thing the tour does special compared to others is the lunch. They go above and beyond to create a special fun experience. Everyone else had boxed cold lunches. But Gabriel had the special containers, table cloth, and utensils that allowed him to serve us a multi course meal with glasses of wine to boot.

We didn’t know exactly what to expect when we booked our 7-day safari with Gosheni, but the experience was beyond our wildest dreams. The landscape was breathtaking, the accommodations luxurious, the animals stunning, and our guide William was enlightening. He made us feel safe and comfortable and gave us incredible insight into the history of Tanzania and its people as well as the animal kingdom. I couldn’t recommend Gosheni enough if you’re looking for both an authentic and exhilarating safari tour.

We chose to book a 7-day safari with Gosheni because of the great reviews but mainly because of the great communication with Peter from the start. Peter was super responsive in helping us book our trip with great suggestions and accommodations and we have not been disappointed, it was a trip of a lifetime! The accommodations and camp lodges were super confortable with very kind staff and very good meals. But what made it so special was our guide William. William was so knowledgeable, kind and super nice. He was able to make everything happen during the game drive with so many amazing encounters…Thank you so much William, we had a blast ! We did a 7-day safari with Gosheni for our honeymoon in Aug 2022. From the initial contact, Peter was incredibly helpful in customizing the trip based on our desires. For example, we wanted to travel to Northern Serengeti to see the river crossing, and to ensure we didn't loose a day for travel, Peter arranged a flight out of Lobo airport. Gosheni was the only tour provider who was willing to arrange this. The accommodations were also incredible.

The safari itself was a once in a lifetime experience! Our guide, David, made us feel very welcome, he was incredibly kind and SO SO knowledgeable (about wildlife and Tanzania's history etc). He did everything he could to ensure we had the best experience possible and that we saw so much amazing wildlife. We went to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Central & Northern Serengeti. We saw the big 5 (including two sightings of a black rhino), 10 cheetahs, and >5000 wildebeests crossing the Mara river.

Absolutely unforgettable experience! We highly recommend Gosheni!

We booked with Gosheni after learning that they won the award for the best Tanzanian safari company in 2021 and after our experience, I can tell you that they totally deserve their award.
Our safari was very well organized by Peter, we stayed in really beautiful accommodations that provided very good food every day and accommodated my wife’s Gluten intolerance without any problem.
Our guide William is very knowledgeable, very friendly, and speaks English very well. He’s also a very good driver and was always flexible to modify our itinerary according to our preferences. If you want to go very early, no problem, you want to go late the next day, no problem, it’s all as you want it to be.
We got to see pretty much all the wild animals of Tanzania.

The 6-day luxury safari trip Gosheni organised for us was truly amazing. We saw many animals up close, had a lot of fun exploring different parks and landscapes (Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti, Tarangire) and also got to visit the Masai. Out driver, William, was super experienced. A very good driver, spoke very well English and was very educated and knowledgeable about the animals. The car was new and comfortable and the lodges Gosheni chose for us were great (comfy beds, good food, swimming pools). I definitely recommend this safari company!

I found Gosheni through word of mouth, and I am so glad I did. I had been making inquiries with other outfits that were bigger and had more branding, but felt I was just a number to those others. When I contacted Gosheni, I received a very prompt reply, and they assured me a private tour was within reach and very available. This was my first safari, so I had many questions about the process - the best time of year, the best length of time to get the most complete experience etc. Pendo did a wonderful job in designing my adventure, she stayed in contact with me through the whole decision-making process.

Jesse picked me up at the airport and delivered me to the first night in Arusha lodging venue. During the ride, he gave me a preliminary overview of what to expect over the next 8 days. First thing in the morning, Albert arrived to pick me up to start our adventure. We stopped off at the Gosheni compound where I met Margaret, had coffee, reviewed the itinerary, she advised me of a couple of upgrades in my lodging, and was given a logoed safari hat. It was so clear they all have a commitment to making their mission all about providing the most remarkable and memorable experience while you are visiting. They truly consider themselves ambassadors of the whole safari experience.

Albert, my guide was such a jewel. He has encyclopedic depth of knowledge of the animals, the flora & fauna, the history of the people and really knows the terrain. He always managed to position the vehicle for me to get the best shot. We had long days that were filled with magnificent animal sightings. We were never in a rush, if something unusual like a rhino in the Serengeti was near us – we went. We watched the Great Migration cross the Mara River in the north. We patiently waited for the actual crossing and miraculously, the herd passed right next to our vehicle when they popped up on our side. That was so amazing. Albert was also great at spotting animals with the naked eye that I needed my zoom lens to see. He was equally fabulous at using visual landmarks for me to find these animals.
Lunch was always a warm, prepared meal on a tablecloth with a glass of wine. The food was always abundant, fresh, flavorful and healthy. This was a distinct difference from the majority of others I noticed, who only had a brown bag or box lunch. I also had refrigerated water always available – this was so appreciated on those hot afternoons.

Accommodations were all very comfortable. I especially loved the tented camps. Acacia Migration Camp team came out to our vehicle and greeted us while singing. In the tented camps you hear the animals at night. I heard Hyenas, lions, and elephants and zebras throughout the night. Acacia Central Camp has fabulously large bathtubs, oversized tents, along with really soft sheets on the bed. They also light a fire pit for evening enjoyment, they call this “bush TV.” When it isn’t cloudy, you have an entire sky filled with stars. Maramboi was another favorite luxury tented camp.

I booked a 3 week solo Safari through the Masai Mara in Kenya and North/Central Serengeti in Tanzania and traveled Mid-August 2022. Everyone at Gosheni Safaris made sure my trip flowed smoothly and was worry free!
Pendo John in sales was amazingly helpful and very patient with the many changes to my reservation. Upon arrival in Nairobi, I was met by the Manager, Charles who escorted me to my hotel and made sure that I was settled. My Driver in Kenya was Lenny who was very fun. Lenny was a great driver, shared lots of his knowledge about the animals and area and made sure that I was able to see plenty of animals including the Masai Mara's Big 5.
My Driver in Tanzania was David. David is very knowledgeable about the Serengeti and was great at finding animals while off the beaten path and knew every back road in the Serengeti. I was exceptionally pleased that David was also a bird watching fan like myself so if you are into bird watching, David is your guy! I was able to see the Big 5 of the Serengeti, a lion hunt, many beautiful birds and a wildebeest crossing on the Mara River which was a bucket list item. David was also very fun, had a great sense of humor, a huge heart and was always thinking of others.
All of the above mentioned people worked very hard to make sure that I was comfortable and had a lifetime of experiences in 3 weeks and I am forever grateful for this experience.
There are lots of safari companies out there but Gosheni is a standout in excellence and you will not regret booking with them.

Our beautiful private 2-week SERENGETI safari was incredibly well organized. Landing in Kilimanjaro our journey started driving north to Turner Springs. Our aim was to take it easy, not to rush the journey and spend additional nights in some of the locations. Our GHOSHENI Coordinator, WILLIAM, understood our needs and expectations, for which we are very grateful.

At the airport, we were met by DAVID, our guide and driver for the following 13 days. What an incredible person! So attentive to the environment, aware of every smallest animal and impressive natural spectacle to share with us, capturing my attention to the details that I am passionate about. My husband and I, shared the most amazing moments with DAVID. His humor, kindness, and utmost ethical attitude made him a friend.

We had the pleasure to come close to so many animals but, if the migration is your target, then August/September in the Serengeti is not the ideal time. Make sure to check the flow of migration and plan your route and season accordingly.

My husband and I planned a custom trip (Gosheni makes that easy) of four days of safari in the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti and four days in Zanzibar. We were impressed with Gosheni’s customer service from the initial contact. They were responsive, answered all our questions and Peter even resolved a Tanzania visa issue for us. Gosheni also handled logistics of our time in Zanzibar like the transportation and booking the lodging. Our guide Albert made sure we had an unforgettable safari. He was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and got us as close to the animals as possible. This was the trip of a lifetime and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Booking with Gosheni Safaris was the absolute best choice my sister and I made for our Kenya and Tanzania 7-day safari! We were looking for a black-owned tour operator and Gosheni could not have been any more perfect! From the beginning when we reached out to Peter, the owner, to our last hours in Kenya, every comfort and detail was taken care of. We were able to customize our private safari with Peter, who was super patient as we figured it out. The first day of our safari, Lenny, our first guide, picked us up at our Nairobi hotel and whisked us off to start our incredible adventure. He was knowledgeable, friendly and provided some of our first sightings as we made our way to Amboseli National Park. It doesn’t seem possible that we only spent a day and a half with Lenny because we had such a wonderful time.

Then we were off to Arusha, Tanzania to fly out to Serengeti National Park, where we met Rodrick our next guide, who accompanied us for two and a half days. The Serengeti was amazing thanks to Rodrick’s endless search for what we wanted to see, which was EVERYTHING! We saw the great migration, a crossing, four of the big five and a lot more. He was the first to spot the crossing and was able to get us there first to witness it. He answered all our questions and commented as we went along. We learned so much and enjoyed our time with Rodrick a lot!

Next came Maasai Mara with Ali, our last guide, who went above and beyond with us and made our stay in the reserve AMAZING! From the moment we met Ali at the Kenyan border, we knew we were in for a good time. Ali’s easy-going way, his sense of humor, knowledge and eagerness to show us all there was to see made this part of our tour INCREDIBLE. We feel like we made a lifelong friend in Ali! What an amazing guide and human being! And he completed our big five by finding a black rhino!

When we realized we were going to have multiple guides, we weren't sure how it would be. But it turned out to be great to experience different styles of safaris from the easy-going, natural drive to the more adventurous fast-paced drive. Overall our experience with Gosheni Safaris was everything we wanted and expected and way more! We would recommend this tour operator to everyone! ASANTE SANA Gosheni!

Great safari with Gosheni!! Do not hesitate to choose them, they are reliable and well organised. Peter Robert, the owner of the company, was very helpful at booking, he was very patient and worked out the best solution according to our requests. In 10 days we visited Serengeti North and Central, Ngorongoro, Manyara and Tarangire. Albert, our guide, was nice and friendly.
He explained many things about animals and plants, he was a very good driver too, he made us feel safe at any time. Jeep very comfortable. Accommodations were luxury and clean, especially Acacia Seronera Camp and Acacia Tarangire Camp were like living a dream. Good food and excellent picnic service during safari!

We enjoyed a wonderful twelve day safari in Kenya visiting Tsavo West, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha & Maasai Mara. Our guide, Gerald, was charming, humorous and always cheerful and ready to help. His knowledge of the reserves was excellent which enabled us to explore remote parts of the reserves which are seldom visited by other tour operators. His driving skills were excellent enabling us to navigate the roads and extremely rugged terrain safely.
