We got very lucky with our guide George! He had a lots lots of knowledge to share and I can say that this was one of the most educational trips I had with a guide so far. He is really passionate about his job. And he made sure to push us to visit different areas to see as many wildlife as possible and we are not disappointed at all. He also speaks several languages including fluent English , French which made communication much easier. Highly recommended!

I truly had no idea what to expect on a safari. From the minute we were greeted at the airport by our guide William I always felt safe and appreciated as a client. William guided us through every new experience, letting us know the dos and don'ts we needed to stay safe and not alarm any animals we might be viewing. William was quite thoughtful of any needs we might have and met every one of our requests. Leaving him in Arusha was like leaving a true friend behind!

I would also like to send Kudo's to Penda, who had so thoroughly and completely worked out all the details of our trip. She greeted us as soon as we pulled into their offices, welcomed us with coffee and gave us a concise briefing so we would know what to expect. My friend had worked with her for months making all the arrangements for this trip and I heartily agree with him--she is a sweetheart, and a very valuable asset to Gosheni Safaris!

The owner, Peter, was also quite welcoming and friendly. He greeted us at the beginning, and treated us to a very nice get-together before we left.

Our safari was a supurbly exceptional experience, and I would never want to go on another safari without William and Gosheni Safaris!!

We had a fantastic 3 day 2 night experience in Serengeti and Ngorogoro crater. Our guide William was amazing and took a lot of effort to make sure our experience was as good as it could possibly be.

We stayed at the the Goshenis camp. Accacia and the standard was excellent. The food was plentiful and tasty. The rooms were very nice and very comfortable.

The tour days themselves were wonderful, the vehicle was a very high standard. I would highly recommend this company and I would be happy to go with them again in future.

What can I say about this experience? This company lived up to every promise that it made. From the moment I began my interactions with Pendo at Gosheni Safaris, she made me feel as though every question that I had was the most important question in the world. She never acted once like she was in anyway not delighted to answer the questions. They catered the Safari to exactly what I needed and delivered on every promise. We were traveling with two older women, and every care was taken to see that their experience would be as smooth as possible. Our safari guide, William was more than we could have asked for. He went out of his way every day on very long game drives looking for exactly what we wanted to see and knew exactly where to find it all. He knew when we were getting to areas where he had seen specific animals before and would warn us to make sure we had our cameras at the ready. As I was filming for my YouTube Channel, MRNONREV, this was extremely important for me. Leaving William at the end of the Safari was like leaving a member of our family, by that time. I would eagerly return to Tanzania and use Gosheni Safaris again for another safari or to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Every single person I dealt with from Pendo to Peter to William was outstanding and I salute them for delivering on every promise.

Our entire experience with Gosheni Safaris was wonderful. From our initial outreach with Peter to the ongoing attentiveness of Pendo to the amazing safari with our guide, William, we have absolutely nothing but great things to say. From the time we were picked up at the airport to the time we were dropped off, we were in very capable hands, and each day was better then the day before. William did everything he could to make the trip memorable, and for a group of five people of different ages and experiences, this was no easy feat. When talking about our favorite moments from our 8-day trip, one member of our group even said that her time with William was a highlight. Laban was an amazing guide exceeding all expectations for the safari. I highly recommend having him as your guide. He was very kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Due to this I saw all of the big 5 multiple times plus some other cool animals like cheetahs. I’ll never forget this trip!

This trip was amazing. William our tour guide did an amazing job at keeping us on time and showing us the important views and animals which were hard to find. From Arusha to Serengeti Tarangiri to Ngorongoro they didn’t cease to impress. Peter was also extremely helpful in tailoring this trip to make sure our experience was worth pur while and to our needs. I recommend Gosheni for all your needs and I do recommend you ask for William. You won’t be disappointed. They have translators for every language so communications are proper. Value for money is pretty much you get what you pay for. The camps were really nice and very comfortable. Trust these guys to give you the best experience.

I have dreamt of going on a Safari , most of my life . Finally happened,little did I know that we would be so well accompanied, by our guide william david who was there for all of our needs (Such personalized service). Other than his patience , with our daily late departures, we managed to cover more than we could imagine. Not to memention his well behaved manors towards us, his colleagues and respect for Nature.

Seeing African animals alive in their natural habitat has been one of my life’s dreams. Who knew I would accomplish this dream during a pandemic but thanks to Gosheni Safari’s I did. Prompt and clear Internet communication with Pendo helped my group of four plan a private, safe six day safari. We traveled in a comfortable, clean, reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle with a pop up top and our guide William at the wheel.

I was in awe of William’s knowledge the day we got up early in search of a Cheetah William had heard was near our Acacia Seronera Luxury Tent Camp. In the first two hours we found not only the Cheetah but 2 pups with her, saw the family unsuccessfully hunt an impala, then happened upon one lion that ended up being 3 lions that trotted off over the great plain and finally stopped on a hillside watching lions, hyenas, antelope and jackals all hanging out together. We still had 10 hours of our safari day left to explore the Wildebeest migration!

I felt William’s respect for and pride in the Serengeti, Tarangire and Ngornongoro with his enthusiasm in sharing his extensive animal, bird and plant knowledge with my group. Willam is a patient guide letting us stop to take thousands of photos at yet another family of giraffes. I marveled at Willian’s ability to spot while driving, from the giant elephant to the deadly Puff Adder. And always say yes when Willian asks if you’d like to stop for a coffee break. You might just enjoy your coffee with 15 lions.

Let Gosheni Safaris worry about the details of your Safari. You will stay in clean, comfortable lodges, eat 3 meals a day with loads of local fruits and vegetables and meet helpful and friendly staff at each lodge, who offer you such delicious drinks as honeyed hibiscus ginger juice. Each day you stop for a mid-day multi-course hot meal served on a tablecloth with glass place settings. You don’t have to think about the small details like gas, park fees, water or which turn to take at park intersections. It is so worth paying for a guide because the guides work together to share animal sightings. If you have the privilege of living in a country where you have been vaccinated, I highly recommend a safari with Gosheni Safaris and William in the drivers seat. We recently completed a 6 day safari with Gosheni safaris. I would highly recommend Gosheni for any safari experience. We were drawn to the company because it was started by a guide and is Tanzanian owned and operated. Their website was exceptionally thorough with detailed descriptions of trips, accommodation and itinerary. The information on the website was accurate and provided enough detail for us to understand what Gosheni offered. We then began emailing with Gosheni staff member Pendo about potential itineraries and costs. She was extraordinarily responsive and replied to our inquiries with kindness and great information even when we emailed her dozens of times with changes to dates and the number of people traveling. She clearly set expectations for transport, food and accommodation that were exceeded in every respect. Once we settled on an itinerary, the deposit was easy to pay with a credit card online.

The great booking experience was exceeded by the quality of the safari itself. Our group of 4 was paired with a guide named William who has been guiding in Tanzania for over a decade. He was a huge highlight of the trip and is an exceptional guide. He is an amazing wealth of knowledge, is incredibly hard working and frequently checked in to make sure all of our needs were met. He is good humored and positive and worked hard to tailor the experience to our desires. He picked us up at the airport in a timely manner and we were happily surprised to be given welcome drinks and a short briefing on the plan for the coming days. We then proceeded to Planet Lodge in Arusha which provided very nice accommodation, food and service while we rested up to start our safari the following day. William even took us to buy local SIM cards upon our request.

The following morning we departed Arusha for Tarangire National Park. William made time to stop at a Tanzanian culture center as one member of our group requested to buy some Tanzanite along the way. The Gosheni safari vehicle was fantastic. It was a nearly brand new Toyota Land Cruiser modified to seat 6 passenger plus the driver. It has power outlets, cup holders and a in vehicle refrigerator that all were in like new condition. William drove and told stories and facts about what we were seeing along the way. He was a great driver and before we knew it we were entering Tarangire National Park.

Once we were in the park William demonstrated his deep knowledge of the roads, animal behavior and how to position the vehicle for great photos. We greatly enjoyed the animal spotting. Lunch brought another amazing surprise when we found that Gosheni always provides hot lunches with full silverware, plates and glasses. We even enjoyed some tasty wine. Accommodation that night was at The Castle Ngorongoro which made us feel like royalty in the castle themed lodge and rooms.

The following day we were off to the Serengeti which is a bit of a drive, but William kept it interesting answering questions and telling tales and giving us bathroom breaks whenever we needed. Time flew by and we were at Serengeti NP in what seemed like no time. The next 3 days were a whirlwind of hands down the best wildlife viewing I have ever done (and I’ve been to national parks in nearly every country in Southern and Eastern Africa). The park is MASSIVE and William knew exactly where to go at every turn and junction. He found us a herd of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest when other safari vehicles were turning around and giving up. He was not afraid to venture out deep into the grasslands of the Serengeti on “cat day” and we saw no fewer than 51 lions and 5 cheetah. I will admit some of that was our good luck, but I think much of it was William leveraging his wisdom and experience of where animals typically are when to put us in a position to be successful. Our lodging and food at Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp was amazing with the camp allowing us to rest in over the top comfort in a great setting.

If I ever come to Tanzania for a safari again, I will book with Gosheni again without hesitation. There service from inquiry to final airport transfer was top notch and I don’t believe you will find better value for your money with any other safari company in Tanzania. Finally, I cannot say enough good things about our guide William. He made a great experience unforgettable and is a true master at his craft. He was regularly consulted about routes, roads and recommendations by guides from other companies due to their respect for his knowledge and experience. He made us feel well taken care of and never ceased to amaze with new tricks up his sleeve each day. It is rare that a tour company delivers on every single one of its promises, but Gosheni without a doubt did just that and more. If you go to Tanzania, you should go with Gosheni!

This has truly been a trip of a lifetime. My daughter and son-in-law invited their moms to join them for a safari in the Serengeti. They set up the arrangements with Gosheni Safaris Africa through Pendo. We had William as our tour guide and could not have been more impressed with his knowledge, attitude, attention to detail and friendliness. Each day was a unique excursion that exceeded our hopes and expectations. I do not hesitate to recommend Gosheni and William for your African safari. You will not be disappointed. We travelled to Tanzania in June 2021 for a private safari (for 4 persons) via the northern circuit with Gosheni Safaris. We researched about 5-6 different safari companies and Gosheni Safaris provided rapid responses to all of our questions and had the most cost-effective package deal we could find. We are so glad we went with them!!! We could not have asked for a better experience. Pendo, from Gosheni sales/operations, was extremely prompt with emailing and answering every small detail about the trip and was flexible even with some of our last minute flight cancellations/changes and trip add-ons. Payment for the trip was easy and could be completed online.

The rest of the experience was incredible, starting from the moment we were picked up you up from the JRO airport. We met up with Aria (sp? airport office manager) and our guide, William, and then immediately had welcome snacks and drinks. They made us feel welcome and oriented us to the next steps of our journey. The safari vehicle we took was brand new with power strips for charging electronics and a fridge for cold drinks/wine! Our Day 1 safari started from Arusha to Tarangine National Park. We had a full day safari in Tarangine with our amazing guide, William, which meant we saw very up close lions walking, a leopard in a tree, elephants, giraffes and many many more animals within the first hours of the safari. We then travelled to Karatu and we stayed at The Castle at Ngorogoro - which is a beautiful hotel with fantastic food. Day 2 of safari we travelled from Karatu to Serengeti Park and had some incredible experiences seeing adult lions, baby lions, hyenas, hippos, and more. Overnight was at Acacia Seronera Camp which is an AMAZING, beautiful accommodation and has the friendliest staff (thanks especially to Maria, Omega, Ibrahim, Robert). The camp is located where you can see incredible wildlife from your door and you can hear lions and hyenas at night. Day 3 was a full day safari which William kindly dedicated to the "Great Migration" - we traveled to Northern Serengeti and saw THOUSANDS of wildebeests waiting to cross the river, truly a unique experience to see in real life. On Day 4 we had dedicated "cat day"...This was by far the most incredible day with William guiding our crew to see 51 (yes, fivety-one) different lions and 5 cheetahs. This included many baby lions and baby cheetahs, lions eating a wildebeast, cheetahs chowing on a gazelle, anything you could possibly ask for. WOW, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. William is definitely the best guide - he has many years of guiding experience (including 10+ years on Mt Kili) and has countless hours spotting animals, including 2 months solely dedicated to a specialized cheetah documentary. He is incredible and is a lion and cheetah whisperer! He provided knowledgeable commentary throughout the journey and many of the other guides from other companies would ask for his help with directions in less well-known parts of Serengeti and where to find animals. I would 110% recommend going with this company and would request William as your guide, if is available, as he is a hot commodity!

I can honestly say this has been the best experience of my life and it’s all thanks to Gosheni Safari. From the moment we booked to the moment we left the customer service has been amazing. We stayed in an incredible camp in the middle of the Serengeti which was perfect. A special thanks to our guide Hassani who has been amazing. His knowledge of the wildlife and the serengeti is incredible, he knows exactly where to go. Not only that, but the food and vehicle provided cannot be faulted. If you want to see EVERYTHING on your safari and have the best service possible then look no further!! You must ask for Hassani!

Our trip with Gosheni Safaris was amazing! We spent 7 days seeing Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara and it could not have been any better. The best part was our guide William. I promise you he is the best guide in Tanzania. He went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. He is super funny and knows everything and everyone in the area. We saw every single animal we had hoped to see plus many more. The camps we stayed in were awesome. The food was amazing as well as the staff working there. I’ve never seen better hospitality in my life. I had looked at multiple companies while planning this trip and I am so glad I chose Gosheni. I truly believe they are the best company in the country.

We did a 7 day safari to include Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorogoro, and Lake Manyara, with William as our guide. The entire experience exceeded all of our expectations. From the very beginning, I could tell Gosheni was the best choice in Tanzania. Upon initial contact, Pendo provided easy and fast communication, accompanied with outstanding customer service and professionalism.

And then there’s William. I truly believe he is the best guide the country has to offer. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, funny, and caring. He made sure we saw “The big five”, even if that meant driving 30 minutes in the opposite direction of our camp, just so we could see a Jaguar. I could not have asked for anything better. The meals are fantastic and definitely stand out compared to other safari companies. All of the lodges were top notch. Gosheni provided the highest level of service and I can not recommend them highly enough.

My son surprised me with a 5-day Safari in Tanzania visiting Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Serengeti and Lake Manyara - & I couldn’t have been happier with the service provided by Gosheni and our Safari guide, William.

William was our biggest advocate for maximizing our time that we had on Safari - as reluctant as we were to wake up early every morning - we were elated to have seen the cheetah, lions, zebra, wildebeest and gazelles early in the morning. Undoubtedly, we accredit seeing the “Big 5” and so many more species of animal, to William and his knowledge of the landscape as well as habits of the animals.
Additionally, we were served hot meals in the bush for an authentic feel, provided a top of the line vehicle for viewing animals and were granted more than necessary opportunities to take as many pictures and selfies as we possibly could.

After all, it’s not only the company you choose that is most important factor - it’s your Safari guide that you’re going to be spending the next ‘x’ amount of days with. William was very communicative, understanding and ready to impart his wisdom at every opportunity. Thank you!

Overall, we were given peace of mind knowing that our accommodations were guaranteed, every safety measure was being taken to protect our well-being, and we received much more in services and William’s cordial hospitality than we paid for - 5+ stars!

P.S.: To all of the anxious travelers (myself included), it’s understandable to be concerned with the dynamic circumstances that we face when booking holiday vacations in this current time, HOWEVER, with Gosheni + William, we did not have to worry about how we were going to secure Covid-19 tests, whether or not we could be accommodated for any whim, and whether or not we would see any animals - the staff at Gosheni are truly the experts that you should rely on!

My mom and I are indebted with such gratitude to specifically, our Safari guide - William! The company and William have superseded our expectations for viewing an abundance of wildlife, gaining knowledge of the local cultural heritage and most of all - how accommodating the company has been with our requests. Additionally, William has, without fail, gone out of his way to show us the “Big 5” and so much more - even spotting the elusive leopard, cheetah and serval cat. Overall, he’s incredibly knowledgeable of the areas inhabited by the variations of animals in Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongo Crater and Lake Manyara - we have learned so much more of the language, culture and of Williams’s family ties to the Maasai. Moreover, from accommodating my work crisis to allow me to set up my laptop in their office in Arusha, to scouting locals to find an SD card for my Go Pro, to helping with Covid-19 forms - we have received so much help, leniency and gratitude.

I only wish we could have stayed longer than the 5 days, William has come to be part of the family and has contributed ever so greatly to our lasting impression of Africa - we placed our full trust in William because we only had 5 short days - & we were not disappointed! I recommend everyone to book with Gosheni and request William!

In the end, we were guaranteed our specifically requested accommodations, a very comfortable Safari vehicle, delicious hot meals in the bush, and really anything else we happened to ask for throughout our Safari. Getting the itinerary and the accommodation right is one thing, but Gosheni makes sure all the little details are perfect and William could find a needle in a hay stack or, in this context, mating lions in the Serengeti.

With William you will learn a LOT on the Masaï, Tanzania in general and all the animals of the savanna.

I recommend asking for a walking safari in the Serengeti, spending a night in the Acacionera Serengeti luxury camp and staying the rest of the time at the Serena hotels in the Ngorongoro & the Serengeti.
