We booked a 6 day safari trip with Gosheni tours with William as our guide.
He was THE BEST guide we could hope for!
He went out of his way to show us the most authentic scenes the Safari can offer!!!
We had a magical trip with extraordinary glimpses of the animals !!we stayed at excellent lodges that were spotless clean with excellent food with friendly and helpful staff!
I recommend William and trust him for everything! If I have a chance to come again I would do it with William!!! For either Safari or climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.He is very helpful, professional and gave the best advice!
After comparing notes with friends of ours that also booked Safaries we appreciate this trip and William even more!!!

A trip should not be missed in one's life. Ombeni is an experienced driver and guide who knows exactly where to find the wild animals. His extraordinary ability to navigate you in the national park makes the trip joyful.

In August of 2019 I used Gosheni Safaris’ to organize an 11 Day Serengeti Wildebeest Migration Safari – it was the trip of a life time! Gosheni Safaris provided a 5 star level of service! From the start, Gosheni Safaris was wonderful to deal with. We worked with Peter, the owner of the company who was always responsive and patient with all our questions. He truly knows his business and put together an excellent itinerary that covered all we wanted to see and recommended lodges that were above and beyond our expectations.

Peter was also flexible to include some additional asks – 1) a visit to the Happy Family Children’s Village (orphanage and school) in order for us to bring the clothing and toys we had collected and 2) arranged for us to meet another Gosheni tour group by putting together a Gosheni Tours lunch at the Ngorongoro Crater.

Gosheni Safaris provided a few extra touches not found with other tour companies – wine and snacks set up on a table awaiting us when we arrived at the airport in Arusha; daily lunches set up using china and real silverware; WIFI in the jeep.

We had an extraordinary guide, Zadock – he took care of everything. He is extremely knowledgeable about the animals and birds; a very experienced tour guide and an excellent driver (it was amazing how he knew his way around all the roads – even in the dark!). I referred to Zadock as the “mayor of the Serengeti” – he knew all the other guides driving by us! Zadock is a sensitive and caring person and extremely customer focused. He always wanted to make sure we were happy, found ways to fit in all our asks, would go out of his way for us (and anyone – he even stopped to help another guide with a tire issue; and provided instructions to another guide on how to find their way to a particular lodge) and made sure we had the best views of the animals! Zadock was the foundation for our amazing experience.

I would highly recommend Gosheni Safaris and would book with them again.

My husband and I chose Tanzania as our first African destination, not really knowing what to expect. In need of more info, I began my extensive safari research and came up with an overwhelming (!) number of safaris on offer.
After contacting several top-rated tour operators, my gut told me to go with Gosheni. It started with Angel's prompt replies, continued with the customisable 5-day safari itinerary we arranged for ourselves, plus I found the price reasonable.

On the first morning, we were picked up by our guide Ombeni in a well-appointed 4x4 (A/C, electrical sockets, fridge). We quickly felt at ease with the car and Ombeni's driving skills.

All accomodations arranged by Gosheni were excellent, with friendly staff greeting us at every turn. We got the chance to meet the lovely owner, Peter, who made sure we were completely satisfied. Bonus: we got upgraded twice (!!) to even better accomodations - just because.

A note about Ombeni, as a guide can definitely make or break your tour: We both quickly bonded with Ombeni, as he's upbeat, humourous and extremely knowledgeable about anything Tanzania and nature. Ombeni was once a national park ranger, and I feel his vast field experience, combined with his great passion for the job, make him an outstanding guide. In the first 2 days, we saw pretty much everything we could ever ask for. He precisely anticipated where animals would head and placed us at a prime location for photos and enjoyment. We even saw leopards mating! (Or "on their honeymoon", as Ombeni described it.)
He always made sure that we don't go off track as he cares about conservation, and the great camaraderie between him and other guides (yes, competing outfits, too) was both fun to watch and helpful for spotting game. It generally also shows that you're in the hands of a good human. We made memories and a friend for life.

To sum it up - go with Gosheni. It's a tightly run outfit with superb human beings behind the wheel. Literally.

My wife and I decided to go on a 5 day private safari tour in Tanzania. After doing our research and getting a few proposals we decided to go with Gosheni Safaris Africa. That decision turned out to be excellent! We were told we were upgraded to a higher range accommodation for two nights (out of the four nights we planned) free of charge even before the safari started.
Ombeni was our local tour guide and driver. He is full of knowledge and experience and he answered all of our many questions about the safari and about Tanzania itself. We were very comfortable with his driving skills and impressed with his abilities to spot the wildlife from far away. He is also very cheerful and he joked with us a lot. I had the bad luck of feeling not so well during the safari and Ombeni was very flexible with the timing and kept asking about my health during the day.
If you want to insure an amazing safari experience go with Gosheni Safaris and ask for Ombeni.

If you are looking for a good safari company, stop here and you don't need to search any further! We just came back from a 14 days safari with Gosheni, and we highly recommend this company to our friends and family. This was our first Tanzania experience and it couldn't be better! We liked our itinerary, our guide, the camps that we stayed, brand new good vehicle and the company owner Peter.

Gosheni has so many luxury camps in different national parks and this gave us a good range of selection~of course, we picked the top luxury range so we had super comfortable mattresses, good hot water for shower (there was a bath available but I didn't use), good dinner and breakfast at the camps. I saw a small group of elephants outside of my camp one morning and there were so many giant birds walking around, in the evening we had some usual antelope guests visiting us and they were so small that we called them “bambi”.....The experience was unbelievable and we were so close to the animals, in a safe way of course! One morning we even saw some chitas not far away from our camp in Serengeti!

Gosheni has many good guides, we met. 7 or 8 groups of people from different countries at the Serengeti camps and clients were all happy about their guides. We had William as our guide, he was very professional, diligent, caring and funny as well. He added so much color to our Tanzania trip and made it so memorable for all of us!

We spent an amazing 11 days in Tanzania last year and it was definitely a trip of a lifetime.

We chose Gosheni after researching online and on TripAdvisor and wanted to support a local company in Tanzania. Peter was always helpful and responsive to our emails and requests. I have a severe food allergy and Peter assisted me by reaching out to the various lodges before the trip.

When we arrived in Tanzania, we were greeted by our guide who drove us from Arusha all the way to the northern Serengeti. Hubert was friendly, professional, knowledgable, and always took great care of us as like family. He also assisted me at the lodges regarding the food allergy.

Hubert always spotted all the animals, and we saw the big 5! He is a wealth of knowledge.

Seeing the animals in person in their own natural state with mother nature was incredible. We also saw the Great Migration which was such a spectacle to witness in person.

All of the lodges we stayed in were awesome and the food was delicious. All lodges can accommodate gluten free food.

Will definitely return in a few years for another tour with Gosheni! Everyone was so professional and friendly service!

If you want a wonderful and absolute perfect Safari experience, do not look any further.
We used Gosheni for our trip to Arusha, Tarangire and Seregenti last year and could not have been any happier. We put our trust in all their good reviews on Tripadvisor and it definitely paid off.

Before we even booked our trip, we exchanged countless emails with Peter. We were able to craft a completely custom 11 day trip, based on his recommendations, our requests and recommendations from fellow Tripadvisor users. Peter was always very patient, extremely helpful and fast to respond. My wife is also severely allergic to gluten (celiac disease) and we had to make sure that she is well taken care of. He reached out to all the lodges and also provided us their names & contact information, so that we can also discuss our concerns directly with them. All of them did a fantastic job and the lodges they recommended were wonderful. She did not get sick!

Our guide, Hubert, went completely out of his way to ensure we are having the time of our life. He took care of us like we were family. Thanks to him we saw the big 5 and lots of other incredible animals. We took over 6,000 pictures and still have not sorted through them all.

During our stay we also learned that Peter used to be a guide himself, before he started his own company. He still embraces that role today and takes very good care of everyone, incl. his guides - which is not necessarily given in this industry. The vehicles that Gosheni is using are very new, comfortable and well equipped custom safari jeeps with power outlets, a cooler with various drinks, coffee, tea, Wifi etc. We could not have asked for more!

When we had an issue at one of the camps that we booked (based on the camp's Tripadvisor reviews), Peter, Hubert and their office immediately came to our rescue and secured us a fantastic, brand-new lodge nearby. We even got to meet the owner, who owns over a dozen lodges in Tanzania, and got to hear his incredible story.

This trip was an out of this world experience that we will cherish forever. It is definitely worth it. We have recommended Gosheni to several coworkers, friends & family members and would not hesitate to book with them again.

I had an 8 day safari with Gosheni Safaris last year, apologies for the late review guys. The quality,price and customer aftercare was superb.
The entire team really looked after us, from our initial contact until the very end of our trip! impressive.
We had been on many other safaris using UK and non UK companies and Gosheni Safaris are a cut above them all.
Firstly their customer aftercare was impressive to say the least. All correspondence answered in a timely manner. The team in Arusha were efficient and professional throughout. Now to the safari itself, animals are very unpredictable. However our driver was incredible and we had encounters with all the big five and much, much more.
I would not hesitate in recommending Gosheni Safaris, trust me look no further. I did extensive research on all of the UK and non UK safari companies . And none of them came close to what Gosheni Safaris could offer me, in price, quality and as I found out after I had booked, customer aftercare,

Excellent company. Owned by locals and their guides work for them full-time which is not always the case for every company in Tanzania. They seem to be well-trained in handling clients from various countries so you feel like the service was personalized. I recommend without a doubt.

I went on a safari with Gosheni Safaris together with my wife last November and we had a great time! We managed to see all the big 5 and they even arranged for some nice sunset drinks in the wild for us at the camp as well. They go out of their way to make sure you have the best possible time on your safari and I can recommend Gosheni Safaris to anyone considering to do a safari in Africa.
